I hired Shon primarily on his outstanding Yelp reviews and his pleasant personality. Unfortunately, what a mistake I ended up making. It took him and his crew 9 days to run approximately 110' of 209'ft of 6'ft wooden privacy fence. He ended up having to hire a couple additional men to help complete installing the remaining fence. The two men he hired did more work in 8 hours than he and son crew completed in the 9 days and their work turned out much better. I do give them credit for working during some of the hottest days of the summer but they could worked smarter i.e. rented a decent auger to dig the holes instead of by hand, starting the work day early mornings to beat the heat. Reason for just 2 stars: poor planning and execution, he made too many mistakes and total lack to detail. Failed to set post every 8 feet, a couple 4x4 posts not set deep enough causing bowing , weak spots, some pickets boards not screwed in properly and BTW a couple pickets have already popped out, some unsightly sloppy end cuts on boards, horizontal 2x4's not level and uneven spacing. I asked him to return to correct his mistakes a couple weeks ago before the city inspection. All I got was excuses he didn't have any transportation means. There's no way he has the experience or proper tools to properly install a wooden privacy fence on his own. I ended up having to hire someone else to correct most of his mistakes. read more

We had an awesome experience with Shon and his crew. We required re-design of our backyard wood security fence and gate (establishing new fenceline, removal of old fence and gate, building a new pedestrian gate, and integrating the new and old fence) Shon was very responsive to my original inquiry via Yelp, and we setup a consult within a few days. Shon was always on time, super professional, friendly, and able to take initiative when needed. His expertise and confidence was just what we needed for this project, with my husband on travel and me being pregnant, we weren't able to provide a lot of oversight, and Shon didn't take advantage of our situation, but instead stepped up and went above and beyond to finish the project quickly, and provide an excellent finished product. Shon and his crew worked diligently, and finished the project quickly. They also kept the worksite clean and safe, which was essential for us, with two toddlers running around... Shon even hauled off excess yard waste for me when I had baby early and wasn't able to be home! We will be rehiring Shon in the near future to design a custom enclosure for our trash barrels and perhaps even our ACs.
