Was able to get to know the owners while relaxing and enjoy some quality time. BUYER BEWARE! 114 dollars for a pedicure. I will break down the pricing. First of all, there are no prices listed, but I never thought it'd be soooo much. I was told $65 dollars for gel pedicure. And $10 to remove the old polish. So, 75, right? Nope! I was charged 65 + 10 + 25 for "gel" which now equals $100 dollars. Then $2.50 for Wasilla tax. I tried to pay via card, but was told "cash only." And was pointed to the ATM. I was then charged an additional $1.50 bank fee. Somehow, I was still gracious enough to tip $10 for a tip. BUT I WILL NEVER RETURN!! $114 for 10 damn toes is too darn much. Even for Alaska. read more

Being 7 months pregnant, managing a toddler and working full time my schedule is kind of unpredictable as far as getting any free time, so I was really lucky to have been running an errand on a brisk -20 Sunday morning and called to see if they were booked for the day or if they could take any walk ins, and they were able to get me in for both a gel manicure and pedicure. I wasn't sure what to expect because I hadn't been here before but I was really happy with my experience! It's a pretty big salon and they have a refreshment area in the middle with a mini fridge of wine! I'll keep this in mind for when I'm not pregnant . It was a wife and husband duo and while the wife did the clipping, trimming, and painting, the husband did the massaging. They were both excellent at what they did. I left there feeling like I had a professional massage done on my legs, feet, and hands! The massage chair was very nice too (not the usual clapped out busted massage chairs at some nail salons). I had gotten my nails done elsewhere and they were not the best...I had called around to see if anyone could get me in to remove the nails and just put polish on my real nails and they gladly told me to come over! Very kind, talented, communicates prices throughout the process. I bring my kids, in-laws, and husband. My husband goes by himself nowadays!! I like it when I get gel nails she always asks if I like the color for she sets it in stone. And any areas I want them to focus on- like rougher spots on my feet- they fix it. Even after they have scrubbed my feet, if they see a rough spot after my feet have dried, they will make it smooth. During football season, they even have the games going!!! Five of us made appointments a month in advance. We showed up to be treated by one lady and an obviously untrained male assistant. We were all there for over 3 hours. Originally the untrained assistant was the worst part, giving painful leg massages and pushing our feet down, almost parallel with our legs, amongst other weird things. Such as the prolonged eye contact when he was massaging your feet... the nails ended up looking beautiful. I made sure the lady was tipped well. I tried to be compassionate, thinking something must have happened, otherwise there would have been more than one employee present. Well in less than a week, all of our gel nails fell completely off in whole pieces. In the end what a huge waste of time and money. read more

They went above & beyond to accommodate us. They were very friendly & we had great conversations with them. I'll start my comment with a positive. The husband and wife (assuming) is very nice. I think the wife, owner is very good at doing nails. Husband is kind and soft spoken. I've been in 4 times. The 1st three times the male owner started my nails and female owner finished. They keep getting up at random times to do other things. Usually takes an hour and a half to do a fill. Too long. This last visit, a guy I had never seen did my nails. Worst job I've ever had in 30 years of getting my nails done. And he burnt my nail bed on one finger. Absolutely atrocious job. I cannot speak highly enough about the staff, atmosphere and comfort level of Foxy Nails. I had my first pedicure ever and was anxious. Tin did my feet, nice massage, not worried about the bit of stubble on my legs. Gorgeous color, offered water, wine or champagne. My friend was having acrylics done. They invited me to relax in one of their super comfortable massage chairs that you can custom set your preference to while waiting for my friend Her nails turned out amazing! Two toes and two thimbs up for these guys. I cannot wait to come back. Also, I'm now a pedicure junkie. Short of having the pedicure done at home this was by far an amazing experience. I used to do nails so I can't bring myself to pay for a service and have it be poorly done. Foxys is the only place in the Valley that I'll get my nails done at. I've tried a few places around town, one had hair and bubbles in the paint, another place the nails started falling off barely a week in, one other salon did such a bad job they had bumps in the nail. I can agree that the pedicures are a bit pricey but you aren't getting a quick scrub and paint. They go all in. Hot stone massage y'all. My husband said my feet have never been that soft. Hands down, worst and most expensive pedicure ever! The basic pedicure is $45 but the place does have a nice kind of spa feel so I figured that even the basic must be better than average...WRONG! The whole procedure lasted about 15 minutes, the polish took longer than that to dry! When I got home I noticed I had several nails that hadn't even been completely painted and none of my cuticles had been pushed back or trimmed (I was chatting with my friend rather than micromanaging the nail tech) I was shocked that it was over so fast and I have never been asked to pay for a salon service while I was still in the chair. They seemed only concerned with how fast they could get my money and then get me out the door. Very rude! If you're looking for a quality pedicure that is significantly less than $45 there are several excellent salons in Wasilla. When they started to do my nails they would stop at random place and go somewhere and not come back for another 20 minutes and they kept on doing that without any communication or very little of it. I made an appointment for 2 people for 4 pm, I didn't sit down in a pedicure chair for at least 20 minutes after 4 and I could see 2 techs were sitting around on their phone just making us wait...They do not have a menu so they can make up whatever prices, I got a basic pedicure with French tip. They told me $45 then bumped it up to $66.30 when I was checking out, saying that the extra was for the French tip!!!! Almost $20!!! I have never paid more than $5 for French tip. The length of my toenails are uneven even though I asked her to fix it, they are still noticeably uneven. The lady seemed to be more interested in her phone than giving a nice pedicure. I've always loved my nails after visiting here! They do an amazing job on acrylics&gels. Their pedicures are rather spendy but I don't get them often so I don't know if it's normal for them to be that expensive or if it's just that salon. The only downside about the salon is they don't honor appointments, multiple times I've made appointments for my friends&I&ended up waiting for 20-30 minutes before having our nails done. Or we've made appointments for 6 girls for prom nails to show up&only see 2 workers there. Making an appointment is useless, it's first come first serve here. But if you don't mind the wait or you go on a slow day this salon is great! read more

I had a mani pedi last month at Royal nails. I thought I would try Foxy's to compare product and price last night. My mani pedis were comparable BUT Foxy's charged $30.00 MORE!!!!!! I will not go back. I was the only customers and the three employees only spoke to each other in there native language as though I wasn't there. I will b getting this service done every month.....not here though. They severely missed the mark. The people were very nice and the place itself was clean, but the pedicure was a ripoff. I paid $70 and the pedicure with all of the paraffin wax, massage, and lotion was only 30-40 min total. They didn't clean my nails or cuticles and my heels and the bottom of my feet were poorly scrubbed. They're still rough. It was the worst pedicure I've ever had. For $70 I would expect a longer massage, better cleaning of my nails and cuticles, and after all that I would expect my feet to be buttery soft. read more

I was never charged the same amount twice ( varied between $180-215) but enjoyed the great job they did on my nails (fills/pedi) and customer service I just adjusted my tip to my charges. Came in for a basic gel mani and pedi. Nothing crazy. There's no prices posted and no service menus to look at so there's no way to tell what is offered and at what price. I sit down for my pedicure and manicure and a gentleman comes over to ask which pedicure I want. I ask what my options are, informing him that this was my first time visiting their salon. Instead of telling me what is offered for services, and what they include, he simply tells me that pedicured are $55.00, $65.00, and $75.00. Ummmm what?! The average price all over the state is $30-50.00. I make my selection, the basic option, and am then told that it's additional to remove my gel on my toes, and to repolish with gel is an additional $30.00. $30.00 for the polish alone is INSANE. I understand gel takes more time, but for the price of the pedicure, it should be slightly less to balance out. Nope. So now I'm looking at a 90.00 pedicure. $90.00. $40.00 for a gel manicure too. You can do the math. On top of all of this, I had to ask for the gel to be cleaned with alcohol once dried, so my nails weren't sticky, and I had to ask for lotion. I'm sorry, but for that price, this should be something extraordinary, something that sets them apart from other salons. Instead it is mediocre service, with less than other salons offer, for half the price. On top of that, they charge tax over and above the service prices. So I ended up paying 140.00 for a mani pedi. That's bullshit and I will NEVER go there again. Perhaps if the service and atmosphere matched the prices, I would consider it the place to do my monthly self indulgent ritual, but alas, no. I will be schlepping my ass to Eagle River, where I will pay half the price, for far better service, in a nicer environment. Learned my lesson on this one folks. read more

Been here several times with two friends. Once they overcharged my credit card by adding a tip that was already included. I usually get the top of the line pedicure and it's never consistent on what is offered. My friend gets basic and twice her pedi was twice as long as mine. Customer service is nil and often their young kids in there. I go for a treat away from needy kiddos, so another strike. I told my friends no more. When I first walked in, it was about 7:10pm and I was on the phone with one of my clients but I wanted to sign in and get my place. There was no sign in and the guy at the counter was rude and trying to ask me what I needed when I was clearly on the phone. So I got off the phone and told him what I wanted done. He was no help finding the color wheels. So I found them myself and chose a color. I then asked him what time they closed and he said "we're already closed". So I said "ok, well I'll come back. Yelp says you're open till 8pm FYI". He then said "oh no, we're open but closing soon. We take our last appointment at 7:10pm."....SO confusing and made me feel extremely unwelcomed as a guest. Obviously he wasn't focused on the customer and just ready to go home. Anyway. It was a terrible start. THEN. I got switched to Amy. Luckily. She. Was. AWESOME. She was sweet and quick and very fun to talk to. She did one of the best gel jobs I've ever had done. I asked her what time they stop taking customers and she said anytime until 8pm. Will be going back here but only requesting Amy. They have a lot of colors, and are quite pricey. But seems to be a clean facility, good color choices, and comfy chairs. Amy made this review go from a 1 to a 3. Would be a 4 if he hadn't been so rude. People are coming here to be pampered and relax. We don't actually NEED these services, so to me, one of the top priorities at a nail salon is a friendly, helpful staff. read more

The experience lasted a whopping 30 minutes, my nails were not trimmed, cuticles were not pushed back, just a quick file and quick massage. For $65 I should feel totally relaxed and have a long massage. And my daughter, who is 6, was charged $35 for basically nail polish. Totally disappointed!
