I purchased a painting that was shipped from France and arrived in, well, not the best condition…read more Not only did this team ensure there was no mold on the canvas (I'm sensitive to it) but they saw that someone had done a bad job touching up bits of the painting and some pieces of paint were missing entirely. They restored it completely and gorgeously. They then surprised me with a lengthy report about the process with pictures of the work along the way. I was thoroughly impressed. I think we've all grown accustomed to shoddy service in so many realms. Not here. Last week when I was about to import another piece but had questions about it from afar, they were happy to look at it and make recommendations, assured me that it looked in good quality but was surely on paper instead of canvas. The artist is now painting us a new one on canvas. We're thrilled! Most pieces had severe smoke damage including antiques that were in pretty bad shape. The level of professionalism at SF Art Conservation put us at ease.
