There are two entrances opposite one another: one is for the Rosenbaum and the other is for RFA Decor (and something else which I forget). I'm so glad I saw an event listing on the Cultural Council website for the last show at the Rosenbaum Contemporary: Two Generations Roberto Matta and Frederica Matta. This show paired father and daughter, whose artwork had only been exhibited together one other time, over 20 years ago, in their country of Chile. I wish I had seen the listing earlier so that I could share the art show with friends... because it was excellent! Thanks a million to the mega awesome Gabriel who jumped up from his lunch break to enthusiastically give my family and I a private tour. He was passionate, informative and completely dedicated to the artists and the works. I was nearly overwhelmed by all the additional interpretations, background stories and explanations that Gabriel shared, not only about each piece but about the lives of the artists themselves, their intentions and their relationship. I felt so special and privileged to see the artworks in such a heightened, enhanced way; I still have many of the images seared into my brain. Thanks you, Gabriel! When I first walked up to the building, I found both entrances to the Contemporary blocked by metal chains with signs directing me to the 'other entrance.' I found this frustrating and vague, but I complied and walked a few steps to the adjoining entrance to RFA Decor. Unfortunately, when I entered, the woman who came up to help me told me that the show was probably closed for the lunch hour. I was pretty upset, as I had checked both Yelp and the homepage to make sure that the Rosenbaum would be open when we were able to finally make it there. It wasn't closed though; the only dedicated Contemporary employee was taking his lunch break and letting potential visitors find their way through from next door. My experience rapidly went from a 1 to a 5.

We had an excellent experience working with Pavo Real when we purchased a Marty Goldstein bronze…read moresculpture piece "Stretch". We are in Texas and I asked if they could help w pictures and a video. We had our eyes on this piece since 2017. Pavo Real was the only gallery I could find that had one (200 were made) Pre-sale they sent me pictures and a video. They were thoughtful in their responses to my questions. I had a little buyers remorse about spending this much on a piece of art and Joan and Alice were so understanding and gave me time to make up my mind. We agreed to go forward w the purchase. When we got the sculpture it was in a large crate, packaged securely and arrived in one piece. We also received the certificate of authenticity and care instructions provided by the Artist. We highly recommend Pavo Real. Whether you live in Boca Raton or out of the state. Trust this Gallery. They are professional and know their stuff. Customer service is superior.

They showcase things in unique mediums and the types of "playful" art that I appreciate. The helpful staff can tell you about each artist and the inspiration behind the pieces. We hadn't planned to buy anything, but I must have been intoxicated by pretty shiny things, or I was suffering from overstimulation due to the almost-forgotten-scents of the mall. Either way, I was not online shopping and I was thrilled! So when I saw this cool/happy/sweet otter pic that fits in with another piece I have by the same artist, it was meant to be mine. --side note, 15 years ago I saw an otter in my yard for the first time. Having never seen an otter in the wild in my life, I started yelling that there was a seal outside. I've never lived that down. So the otters seemed appropriate.-- ANYWAY, I'm very pleased with my shopping experience in this little gallery. They offer a variety of price points and unique gift items for the special people in your life. Stop by and I dare you to not smile when you look at their ever changing collections.

I worked there as head of security a decade ago. I've never dreamed of working at a Museum, not to…read moremention as head of security. The staff and the visitors to the museum treated me with Royalty. They taught me how to read the art and to appreciate the art, artists. And how much art means to the world. Just to be associated with The Boca Raton Museum of Art made me feel like a Super Star. Patriot would come and ask to speak with me me. The Directors Frank Borge and Caroline put a lot of trust in me. Caroline had me modeling for the artists. Sometimes when the Darcie " Teaches of the Art" was busy. Sometimes of the patriots would ask me to do the tours. Every Wedsday night, a different bank in Boca Raton would sponsor a banquet at the Museum. Bank Presidents would come and ask for me to assist in what they needed. And Frank and Caroline trusted me enough to do the right thing. I don't know how to explain how this made me feel and the confidence it gave me. See, in my High School years I was told I was too dumb to live in this world. Now, I was in the Military, worked in Law Enforcement. But, I still had that stigma in the back of my head that I was dumb. Now, I was a leader in the Military and Law Enforcement. But, even though you have to think, guide the troops, make sure they got the right training and be safe. A lot was physical demanding work. So I didn't know how to appreciate that work like I should. But, when I started at Boca Raton Museum of Arts. The mental stimulation , the trust they put in me was unbelievable to me. Sometimes, when things get a little to busy. And someone needed something done. I would often hear Frank, Caroline and other staff the patriots, vendors and staff. " Ask Albert" he knows what to do". That trust along made me not question their judgment. I just stepped in and did what I was taught by them, staff and the Darcies. I met a lot of interesting people that welcomed me to the art world. I can't draw, paint, sculpture or any of those crafts. But, The Boca Raton Museum of Arts. The citizen of Boca Raton had me trained like I was a professional of the arts. I met Dorothy Glimpses, Rajas, Jerry Wise in person. I was sad when I had to leave. I even modeled for the professional arts and the amateurs. Calvin Campbell a renown water colors did a couple of paintings of me. I still have one he and the museum gave me. I will post on the site. Pardon me! I had some names wrong. I mention a Frank Borge. The name is George Borge, who was the CEO/Director of the Boca Raton Museum. Frank is actually " Richard Frank" who was on the Director's team and a resident Arts. And I forgot to mention Mrs. Ginsberg, who was one of the Darcie, she was 91 yo. She taught me a lot about reading the art and trying to read the story that the artist was telling. I would take her to doctor's appointments, grocery shopping. And on weekends pick her up on Saturdays and Sundays take her to the Museum. I even supervised the tile painting that the children would do for the floor in the children department of new Nordstrom stores. At the time Nordstrom was opening in the Wellington Green Mall of Wellington. Each time a new Nordstrom opens Jerry Wise conducts a tile painting session for a week. The children in the surrounding area will Paige tiles. Then Jerry Wise, who is a famous horticulturist that oversees the Nordstrom Museum in the state of Washington. Take the tiles back to Washington, coat and bake them. He then lay them in the new Nordstrom store.
