The Bilotta Gallery…read moreis loaded with some of the most splendid pieces of contemporary art I've seen with many of their pieces being the works of local area artists. The gallery bills itself as being "The Home of Celebrity Artists," which I really found to be true as it contains some of the works of a well-known actor form a televisions series, one who I would have never expected of being an artist, as well as some works of well-known athletes. I was particularly taken by the works of the late Freddie Pacheco who was the personal physician of Muhammad Ali and well known as the "Fight Doctor" sports commentator in the 1970's. While there, I also had the pleasure of meeting the owner, Frank Bilotta who really couldn't have been more helpful, friendly or accommodating and who took the time to explain each work of art along with the history behind it. I also noted the prices and was surprised...actually shocked...to see how reasonable the prices were in comparison to what I've seen at other galleries for what I would consider similar works.

So only One more Week left to view this interesting, important work by various Haitian artists. A great Toussaint artwork and one piece made of Skittles into the face of "Tupac." If you look at the Skittle piece up close you may not be able to see it is, in fact, Tupac Shakur. Inside the actual museum which was once a gymnasium Basketball Court is a weaving exhibit entitled "Ancestral Lines" which has been here a couple of months- having opened on April 4, 2025- and, I think, will be here about another month until sometime in July 5, 2025, as I recall. I don't think you can actually call this a museum. It's a wonderful little gallery of three or four…read morerooms put together. There are very few art pieces, but it is still a nice outing. I was very happy to learn that they sell beverages so you can walk around with them! I will try that next time. The only problem is that it probably only takes a half an hour to walk around. There is a little garden path outside that you can roam around that has lots of little sculptures and fairy/ gnome houses. It is good for children, as they offer classes and summer programs. It is wonderful as it is a non-profit and free to the community. I appreciate they have different events including book signings and authors, and the space is open for rentals and things. It's overall very cute, but still lots of room for improvement.

He had a…read moreSultan's scroll that dated back to the early 1800's and he was concerned about getting it framed properly. Not only did Picture Framing & Art Gallery frame this treasured artifact beautifully; they used a special preservative matting and glass that will keep this scroll from ever fading or deteriorating! My Boss was so impressed with their work that he went back with a pile of old family photos to be framed. This second time around the shop made arrangements for a skilled carpenter to come to his house and properly hang and arrange his framed pieces for him. Not only do the people here know what they are talking about when it comes to art, they seem to have a genuine interest in meeting their customers' needs with excellent service. I wish we had more places like it and I can't wait to see how my frames turn out!

We put the map on our closet shelf and did nothing with it. As big fans of Disney and our aunt, we decided to honor the map by having it framed. When we took it down from the closes shelf, it had some rips and stains. I searched online for a place that could restore and frame and found Heritage Art Galleries. They were honest about what they could and could not correct and offered great advice for framing. They did a super job at a reasonable price. I've been back to have a few other items framed. I would definitely recommend Heritage Art Galleries.
