Framework is a great co-working space! What's co-working you ask? Well, you know all those freelancers and people who get to work "from home" ? No doubt you think they have the best deal in the world right? You think they're sitting around in their undies pretending to work, watching Oprah on their lunch breaks, eating icecream directly from the tub and pretty much living the high life yeah? I'm here to tell you that working from home is totally not like that (except the working your undies bit). Not only is it real work that these people do, but they often do more of it because they're at "the office" as soon as they wake up and right up until going to bed. These people sometimes don't switch off at all and the long days are lonely, and at times isolating. No water cooler chat or going down the road for a coffee with a colleague for these peeps. Nope, working from home at times totally sucks and that's where co-working comes in. At Framework you can pop in and out as you please (at a frequency that you determine when you sign up), use a desk, steal the free wifi, book a meeting room, eat the snacks in the fridge, have some banter with a guy in the kitchen while you make a toasted sandwich for lunch (they have a sandwich press you guys! Awesome!), have beers on a Friday, pat the dog (there's a dog!) play a game of pool when you need a mental break, enjoy the cool tunes or stick your headphones in when you need to focus. It's everything you'd expect of an office, yet it's not your permanent office. Sure the technological perks are important when it comes to work but it's the human factor that makes an office great and here at Framework there's a really nice bunch of humans that all work on cool stuff and are the sort of people you actually want to have the office banter and beers with. read more
Being an international woman of mystery (read: a Yelp Community Manager who doesn't have an office) a reliable place to work with easy-to-access wifi is extremely important to me. Enter: Framework. Located walking distance outside of the city lays this warehouse-style co-working space, filled with bearded creatives, endless MacBooks and numerous lolly jars. While this phrase is thrown around endlessly, Framework really does make you feel like you might be in New York - those beautiful open windows, hanging plants and pool table really set the scene. Despite the number of people who are often working in this space, you'll never feel distracted. Everyone is conscientious of one another, moving in to the meeting room when a discussion needs to be had (you can book out the meeting room in advance!) If you're looking for a place to park your laptop fulltime, or even just a day or two a week, consider Framework. You'll feel cooler just walking in. read more
