For the price paid there was very few item on the pizza, at that price the slice should be heavy with items. There was hardly any cheese and there was just a very light sprinkle of items, pizza is very thin. Not worth the price. We were downriver, and I looked on Yelp for something in the area, this place came up. I've heard good things about the pizza, so we decided to grab some dinner here. It was a nice mild night and we ordered inside and ate at one of maybe 3 tables outside. We ordered the Vesuvio pizza and Fresca salad. The Vesuvio pizza has fresh mozzarella, sausage, roasted garlic, roasted red peppers, red onion, and basil on it. There was a bit of char on the crust, we light the sauce it wasn't too heavy. Crispy crust from the brick oven. I wish there were more roasted peppers on it. They were hardly noticeable. Diced up roasted peppers, never had that. Red pepper flakes complemented this pizza (we added them). We also enjoyed the Fresca pizza, which was spring mix, grape tomatoes, kalamata olives, artichokes, balsamic glaze, and balsamic dressing, it was topped Parmigiano. The menu said there should be pine nuts on it, but there wasn't. It was a very fresh and tasty salad, though. The server/cashier was very friendly, she welcomed us and told us about the pizza oven and that the dough was from Italy ( I figured she meant the flour was from Italy lol). Her name was Marrissa, btw. I did notice that there was beer and wine available, plus some tables inside for dining. They had a Margherita Monday pizza special. I'm not sure who is giving this place less than 5 stars. Their cheesebread, pizza, and pepperoni are the best around. The young workers here are also so freaking nice, and always prompt with service. They never charge me if I need an extra marinara. That alone makes me go back here instead of going anywhere else. To also know that their flour is from Italy where we all know has way cleaner soil than the crap here, makes me insanely thrilled. This place is a no-brainer, if you have a brain that is. read more

What a great and unexpected find! Loved how friendly the staff is, taking time to walk is through the menu. This little pizza shop is near one of our favorite metro parks! There's a small indoor eating space as well as tables outside when the weather allows. Luckily for us it was a beautiful day and we loved sitting outside with our pizza and salad. The portion size of the salad is very generous and we even took some home. The pizza was absolute perfection. Lots of meat toppings and we added fresh basil because it makes everything better. I let my husband choose the pizza so next time we go it's my choice and I definitely want to try some of the more unique pies. Give this little place a try, it's delicious and it's a small business and you should always try to support small businesses... They add so much variety!! read more

Pizza was delicious. Cannoli cake was good but tasted nothing like a cannoli. Food was delivered quicker than estimated time.

Husband and I wanted pizza, so we gave Francesca's a try. It is 10 min from our house, very convenient. Called and the young lady who took our order was so pleasant and she told us that they were running a special and we got 10% off our pizza, yah! I ordered a large Woodhaven Warrior well done and it was ready at the promised time. Great pizza, still hot, ample toppings and well done perfectly. We were very pleased and intend on ordering again from this place. You can dine inside as well. Never gave it a thought to take a photo, too excited to chow down on this delish pizza. I think the one thing that throws the fifth star off is I've ordered take out a few times and was told one price over the phone and then it costs more when I've picked it up and paid. I got a 14 inch Originale Napoletana pizza - tomato sauce, roasted garlic, oregano, fresh basil, EVOO, and anchovies. Great pizza! The crust is crunchy on outside and soft and chewy on the inside. We opted for the Pistachio + Mortadella with a GF crust and a classic BYO cheese pizza. Wow! The GF (cauliflower) crust was delicious and I almost couldn't tell it wasn't traditional dough. Best thing to hit downriver in 20 years! It's that good!! I'm here to tell you this is the best Neapolitan pizza around. So so good. I wish I wasn't telling you because I don't want it to become so popular I can't get in anymore, haha. For real though, amazing pies! Check it out. Ordered carryout, a regular and a gluten free pizza, (also antipasto salad), got home and realized we could not tell which was which, it was not marked on the box, i called, the girl told me the gluten free one should not be as charred as the regular and more bubbly, nope, both charred and bubbly, she said if i bring them back they could let me know-i had to have family members taste test both-we figured the one that was more tough and chewy was the gluten free one, they all agreed both were hard and chewy. I tried the tougher one, i got sick that night. I guess if i would have brought back the pizzas like she suggested it would have been cold but would have found out that neither was gf. And Francesca's Brick Oven exceeded my expectations by also being located very close to our travel destination. Bonus points because they were celebrating their 1 year anniversary in business and we received a 20% discount off our bill. There are a few tables to dine-in both inside and outside with trendy modern decor style. (There's talk they are planning to expand their space in the near future.) The staff we interacted with to order our pizza at the counter and delivered our pizza to the table provided excellent customer service. The Funghi Tartufo (cremini mushrooms, fresh mozzarella cheese, shaved parmigiano, truffle oil, fresh basil) pizza was everyone's favorite. We have been to Naples Italy, and found Francesca's to have very authentic Napoletana pizza. The 2 pizzas we had were very delicious - the Vesuvius and the Margareta. The crust is chewy and so good. We also had the Fresca salad and wine with dinner (they serve wine, beer and cocktails), and a delicious piece of cannoli cake from Tony Cannoli's for dessert. We enjoyed meeting Francesca who is so friendly and personable. We really like this little restaurant and wish them success - which they deserve. Two small suggestions for dining in, would be better knives to help cut the pizza when eating it, and to consider offering coffee/espresso. read more
