I told them that I had my haircut in a delivery van that had been converted to a barber shop, located by the country store on Vashon Island, WA. Huh? Not on Luke? Less than a week later, I attended a conference with the Air & Space Force Association and I was asked who cut my hair. While most military haircuts look as though a machine did them -- you'd think that getting your hair cut that short would make it easy to have the length be consistent -- mine was neither done as a military cut, nor was it done because I am in the military (I once was, but not now). While my hair was cut short to survive the Arizona heat, it looked very well done, short -- but just long enough to look superlatively styled. The next week, I attended a conference in San Francisco. Some I spoke with noticed a lapel pin which is a military ribbon replica, and we began comparing notes about military service: they asked where I live? (Whistlestop, AZ); do I have my hair cut on base? (No); and who cuts my hair? I've had people ask my who cuts my hair a number of times, but never more than twice. Must have been well done, huh? I planned to make an appointment for Black Cat today when I found out Nori's was in their place. Nori's is just as good or better quality fade men's style haircut. Nori's came in at $10 cheaper for the same cut as I would get at Black Cat. Nori's didn't require an appointment to get my hair cut. I walked in and got it done. The place that was here before was good and this place just took that business model and improved upon it. Easy 5 stars. If you're a man in gig harbor / port orchard / key peninsula areas you'll be hard pressed to find a barber that can compete with Nori's without charging an arm and a leg or booking you out weeks in advance.
