The beautiful girl who runs the salon and Mario, my stylist, took a look and discussed the hair for 10 minutes in Polish/English, making the options clear to me while I had tea. Mario put in highlights and coloured the remainder of my hair (took him ages as I have quite long hair). Then he washed it and put a toner in. Finally, after about 2 and a half hours of hard work on his part, it was time to get the scissors out. I was very satisfied with the elegant cut and blowdry he gave me and even happier with the colour, which was just the shade I had asked for. All of this cost 100 euros, which I thought was very good value for money for everything I got, and it took the whole afternoon! I'm usually disappointed by salons but I got everything I wanted here without breaking the bank.

Just be very specific about what you want (could be said about going to any hairdressers, I guess) People of all ages come here and the staff are lovely, they do their best to make you feel relaxed and comfortable. They are very reasonably priced (and I am a mature student saying that) and you will not be ripped off. The decor inside is not fancy and it is situated over a pub but do not let that put you off! It is literally across from the G.P.O. so you cannot miss it! Don't assume either that some inexperienced student will be let lose on your head, the students of the academy wash hair and make your tea, that is all. They have excellent, qualified staff inside there. Overall, I highly recommend this place! It is almost a 'hidden gem' that I have been going to for nearly ten years!

I asked for it to be corrected but was told that was not possible unless i wanted to pay more than 100€ for highlights. The stylist should not have said she could achieve something if not possible and should have done everything in her power to correct it once the error was made. Emailing for a refund was rejected. I think true customer service is seen when something goes wrong and judging by the way i was treated i would not recommend using this salon. DISGRACEFUL.
