The server was nice. I wanted water but it was obvious the glasses or bottle wasn't cleaned or the water was just old. In any case there was a small fly and something else in the water. I ordered a pizza. I wasn't overwhelmed with it. I didn't taste the Tanginess of the sourdough. The pizza was thinner than a paper - not over exaggerating. I had to fold the pizza to enjoy it. I understand that it's the most standard pizza I ordered but you could've put more than 4 basil leaves. But anyway, I at least went away not hungry anymore.

I've been looking forward to Franco Manca opening in East Dulwich for such a long long time, I love FM so having one literally within walking distance was like a dream come true! Me and the boy went along tonight on their opening day, I know of expected maybe a few teething problems and hiccups but everything was super smooth! There was about a 30 min which was fine (and quite expected!). I'd been in this building when it was previously a gastropub type thing, I have to say they've done an amazing job revamping this place, it's completely unrecognisable from what it used to be! It didn't take too long to decide what to have, my boyfriend went for the chorizo and mozzarella and I went for the meat special which was wild boar salami and cavolo nero. If you've been to FM before, you know how amazing the sourdough base is. If you haven't, you need to go to FM immediately! The food was on point, exactly how it was in the other branches I've been too. Perfect base, awesome toppings and just all round amazing. The staff were lovely and were obviously well prepared for a crazy hectic night too! I'm so so pleased that Franco Manca have opened close by. This is gonna be dangerous!

We wanted to try something locally and found this spot. Great variety of pizzza. Loved the crust. Thin but very good.

What makes HOMESLICE stand out is the ability to mix and match toppings on each half of a whole pizza, making it perfect for sharing and trying different flavour combinations. For our visit, we grabbed a couple of slices for a quick lunch while exploring the city. I went with the Salami, Rocket & Parmesan slice, which was loaded with toppings and packed with flavour, while my wife kept it classic with a Margherita slice. The slices are massive, yet the pizza remains light, crisp, and easy to eat. With its relaxed atmosphere, communal seating, and prime location near Covent Garden, HOMESLICE is an excellent stop when you need a quick bite between London attractions.

I Ordered a Margherita pizza slice (GBP5), that started off the chalkboard listing several other available varieties. It has taken the classic Neapolitan pizza ingredients and cooked and cut them up in the style of a thin New York slice. Maybe even more than 4 stars, but the pizza here was really quite good! My colleague in London…read moresuggested taking a walk through Brixton my last evening at our London offices back in September as I had not really been on that side of the Thames and am pretty adventurous. He also suggested coming here for dinner which I decided to take him up on that even though where Franco Manca is located has a lot of very interesting food venues which reminds me of Grand Central Market in downtown Los Angeles. The staff was helpful and sat me immediately. I ordered a glass of wine which was just okay. I'm not really knowledgable about wines so I guess my way through it and this one wasn't as good as others I've had. I ordered one of the more basic pies as I feel that should really be the tell-tale sign of a good pizza. The crust and dough of this pizza was truly excellent as was the cheese. The sauce lacked a bit of flavor and freshness. It wasn't a bad sauce, but I like when there's a fresh and very strong tomato taste which I didn't get eating this. After eating a full pizza, I didn't look to get a dessert and didn't even check to see if they had one. Overall, a decent pie to eat in a very peculiar area! When I arrived back to South Kensington, I noticed there was a location of Franco Manca a block away! Oh well. It was better to see a different area of London.
