We purchased the complete service package from Francorp - Business Plan, training, Marketing Brochure, UFDD, etc. It was one of the worst business decisions I ever made. Nearly everything they delivered to us was worthless. They have their fixed business templates, and they make very few changes for your particular business. Their financial planning ("business plan") spreadsheets were criminally deficient. Their advice was mostly from old guys who worked in franchising in the 1980's. They don't tell you accurately how much it will cost, or how long it will take, or the percent of people who buy their services succeed. They get paid for everything up front, so there was no way for us to get any money back. They did not disclose all the costs involved (for example, you have to hire your own lawyer to review "all documents") and did not disclose realistically their lack of any responsibility. WHAT A NIGHTMARE! DO NOT DO BUSINESS WITH FRANCORP! Our company contracted Francorp to assist us with our franchising needs. After a few months, we decided to end their services. The contract clearly stated that, upon termination of the agreement, Francorp is to refund us, the Client, any unused pre-payments we had already remitted to them. Thus upon termination, we asked them to give us an accounting of all the work performed, so we can agree and reconcile the refundable amount. This is when it really got ugly. It took them so long to provide us with a simple breakdown of the services provided. When they finally did, there were so many wrong charges. We went back and forth for over a year. We paid them a total of almost $80, 000. 00, but we agreed to settle for just almost $8,000.00, which is way below what was actually due to us, hoping that we would at least recover something. But even that, they did not pay. They promised to pay us several times, they committed to payment arrangements that they themselves came up with but as of to date, they have paid us back only $500.00. Their executive officers namely Patrick Callaway, Linda Eason, and Mary Gregoire all made the same promises which all of them failed to fulfill. All we were asking for was for them to hold their part of the agreement. But they did not. All these things go to show that Francorp lacks moral and ethical values. They are dishonest with their dealings, and they seriously lack integrity. They are unprofessional, incompetent and deceptive. They are telling us they are bankrupt and have serious cash flow problems and that is the reason why they cannot pay. If such is the case, why are they claiming they are a very successful company and that Francorp is # 1 in the franchising industry on their website? What does it mean then? They are fooling someone. Either they are lying to us so they can get away with not paying what they owe us or they are lying and fooling the general public. It was and still is a nightmare dealing with this company.
