My rising sixth grader started Mathnasium end of May 2025 while still in the fifth grade. He…read moreattended an average of twice a week, to strengthen his already-decent math skills, prevent "summer slide," and receive support aligned with his upcoming middle school curriculum. Unfortunately, none of these goals were met. The tutoring didn't mirror his schoolwork as promised, and his first school math test in middle school at the end of August reflected this -- he failed. Also, during our last virtual session in September, the tutor left the session for an extended period when he should've only been gone for three or four minutes to check on his other virtual students then return/rotate. For those reasons, along with one additional issue not mentioned here, I quickly lost confidence in the program and canceled at the end of September, not wanting to spend any more money on a tutoring service that wasn't meeting his needs. It may be a good fit for others, but it wasn't effective for us. I was disappointed and now need to find another tutor or tutoring service that meets his needs. I would be remiss not to mention that the director was pleasant and made efforts to be accommodating and address all concerns.

Grades have improved. He feels more confident in class and says he feels smarter because he's excelling in school and making great grades. Ms. Nargis, the director, gave us a tour, and I could tell she really cares about the school. You can see how much thought she puts into it and how much she wants it to be a great place for both the kids and the teachers. The kids looked happy and playful, the teachers were welcoming, and the whole atmosphere just felt right. What I'm most thankful for is what happened a few months after our daughter started. Our family was going through a difficult season, and she developed separation anxiety and became very attached to her favorite blanket. As a mom, it was heartbreaking to leave her during that time. Ms. Nargis and Ms. Teressa were incredibly patient and supportive. They genuinely cared about helping her through that season. They kept me updated, worked closely with me, and gave her the extra reassurance she needed. Knowing she was surrounded by people who understood what she was going through and truly wanted to help meant so much to us. That kind of care is hard to find, and it meant the world to our family. Our daughter has come such a long way in overcoming her separation anxiety. Now she runs into preschool with a huge smile, and one of the sweetest things is seeing her comfort her friends when they're sad to say goodbye to their moms. That just amazes me. Watching her grow in confidence has been such a joy, and we're so thankful to all of the teachers at AAIMS. I also love the curriculum. It's engaging, age-appropriate, and I can see how much she's learning while still having plenty of time to play and just be a kid. We also appreciate the variety of extracurricular activities they offer, which gives the kids opportunities to explore new interests and build confidence. One thing I really respect is the way Ms. Nargis leads AAIMS. I know it isn't easy running a preschool and balancing the needs of so many children, parents, and teachers, but her love and passion for the school are genuine. You can tell she truly wants AAIMS to be the best it can be, and I really admire that. Moving to a new state came with a lot of unknowns, but finding AAIMS has truly been a blessing for our family. We're incredibly thankful for Ms. Nargis and the wonderful teachers who have loved, encouraged, and supported our daughter. Thank you for making her first preschool experience such a positive one. Their summer school camp is really excellent with a lot of activities for the kids. my only complaint is the car-rider lane situation. they have 2 car rider lanes but don't use either of them the way they are meant to be. they allow parents to pull up in the lanes but they require you to walk your child in and sign them in. this creates a backlog of cars in the morning for PreK and the afternoon pickup and has become quite dangerous for the little ones and their parents weaving in and out of cars in the lane to get into the school. It's also very inconvenient for the parents as it takes more time and creates more separation anxiety for the kids at being dropped off. i recommend to institute a real car rider lane with decals and a staff member or 2 getting the kids out of the car and taking them inside.

We came across Pinecrest Academy. The minute we drove onto the campus for our tour I knew "this is it"! There was such a sense of peace within all the beauty that the campus has. We met with Mrs. Margaret Frain. She was so lovely, and you could truly feel her love for the school through her tour and presentation. Well, the rest is history. We have been here for 3 years (going on an upcoming 4) and also have our youngest starting this year. Pinecrest has been an absolute blessing. The teachers and faculty are wonderful, the staff is caring, you become a part of the Pinecrest community the minute you begin. I could not have asked for a better experience for my children and for our family. We have seen our oldest daughter flourish in academics as well as in our faith, and look forward to the same for our youngest!
