When we moved from California last year, one of my biggest concerns was finding the right preschool for our daughter. We toured several preschools in the area, but nothing really felt like the right fit. Many of them felt a bit institutional. AAIMS, however, felt different. Ms. Nargis, the director, gave us a tour, and I could tell she really cares about the school. You can see how much thought she puts into it and how much she wants it to be a great place for both the kids and the teachers. The kids looked happy and playful, the teachers were welcoming, and the whole atmosphere just felt right. What I'm most thankful for is what happened a few months after our daughter started. Our family was going through a difficult season, and she developed separation anxiety and became very attached to her favorite blanket. As a mom, it was heartbreaking to leave her during that time. Ms. Nargis and Ms. Teressa were incredibly patient and supportive. They genuinely cared about helping her through that season. They kept me updated, worked closely with me, and gave her the extra reassurance she needed. Knowing she was surrounded by people who understood what she was going through and truly wanted to help meant so much to us. That kind of care is hard to find, and it meant the world to our family. Our daughter has come such a long way in overcoming her separation anxiety. Now she runs into preschool with a huge smile, and one of the sweetest things is seeing her comfort her friends when they're sad to say goodbye to their moms. That just amazes me. Watching her grow in confidence has been such a joy, and we're so thankful to all of the teachers at AAIMS. I also love the curriculum. It's engaging, age-appropriate, and I can see how much she's learning while still having plenty of time to play and just be a kid. We also appreciate the variety of extracurricular activities they offer, which gives the kids opportunities to explore new interests and build confidence. One thing I really respect is the way Ms. Nargis leads AAIMS. I know it isn't easy running a preschool and balancing the needs of so many children, parents, and teachers, but her love and passion for the school are genuine. You can tell she truly wants AAIMS to be the best it can be, and I really admire that. Moving to a new state came with a lot of unknowns, but finding AAIMS has truly been a blessing for our family. We're incredibly thankful for Ms. Nargis and the wonderful teachers who have loved, encouraged, and supported our daughter. Thank you for making her first preschool experience such a positive one. Two of our kids attended GA Pre-K at AAIMS, and we're pleased with the quality Montessori education they received. Our kids had previously gone to a Korean daycare and we speak mostly Korean at home for retention, so our kids spoke very little English in the beginning of the school year. Director Ms. Nargis advised us not to worry, as kids can pick up English quickly -- indeed, she was right! By the end of the school year, both kids had learned to speak English decently well, could read simple books, and write simple sentences. My first child went on to Kindergarten and tested out of ESOL. We liked that students work on fundamentals like reading, writing, and math at a desk, but they also have independent play time to choose a hands-on activity around the classroom. They also clean up after themselves. AAIMS has a big outdoor playground for recess and they have weekly Playball time. AAIMS also offers ballet, karate, tennis, table tennis, and Spanish lessons for those who want to sign up, at a reasonable extra cost. AAIMS holds events to highlight the various cultural backgrounds of the students, which we really appreciated. Reviews in Google are turned off. -- AAIMS provides a safe environment with enriching extracurricular opportunities, BUT management concerns overshadow the experience. The director is diligent about compliance yet struggles with transparency, communication, and responsiveness to parent concerns. With a shift toward more openness, professionalism, and support for both staff and families, the school could live up to its strong state rating. At present, my experience leaves me unable to recommend it without reservations. Communication is filtered solely through the director. Although this may be intended to protect staff, it limits transparency as it seems like the director & owner, Nargis/Mini, wants to control the narrative. I commuted over 45 minutes each way because I believed AAIMS would be the right fit for my child. Unfortunately, my interactions with the director felt dismissive. She often seemed overwhelmed and reactive rather than calm and organized. While an email policy for communication exists, this policy was selective who it applied to. A WhatsApp chat was created by Nargis specifically to update pre-K parents about the lead pre-K teacher (Maria) abruptly leaving in the middle of a teaching day. After the lead pre-K teacher walked out, the director quickly began implementing changes to the pre-K program, including adding a Spanish class that was billed as an additional cost to tuition--with only three days remaining before the next month's payment was due. This timing felt concerning and confusing, as it appeared the changes were being made because Maria reportedly did not want the Spanish teacher in her classroom. It was unclear whether the director intended these changes while Maria was expected to return within a week, or if she assumed Maria's absence was permanent. The situation raised questions about decision-making, transparency, and whether these adjustments were being implemented in the students' best interest or for other reasons. On one occasion, after receiving parent questions and concerns, Nargis dismissed herself from the group and deleted prior messages--raising valid concerns about open correspondence, accountability, and her willingness to engage with parent concerns. Minor issues have sometimes been handled in a way that feels overly public and punitive. For example, I emailed Nargis regarding a mix-up with my child artwork, noting that another child's work had been included and that I would return it the next day so it could go to the correct family. She responded defensively, blaming another staff member for the mix-up rather than addressing the situation logically. I confirmed I would return the artwork. However, the director then forwarded my email to all parents, framing the situation as a problem caused by me rather than a simple mistake. This incident reflects a recurring pattern in her approach--minor issues are often blown out of proportion, handled publicly, and rarely resolved with a practical solution, giving the impression that parents raising concerns may be framed as the problem. Additionally, when we officially decided to unenroll my child, she left his belonging on the floor for us to collect it without having to interact with us as to dismiss us. Nargis claims it's because she was cleaning but clearly my pictures/timestamp show others belongings not on the floor. She made sure to remove those things and clean when I addressed this issue to further gaslight me. I have since found another facility & confidant to say this place is a toxic mess. You & your children don't belong anywhere you are not important & respected. Areas of improvement: Communication & Professionalism: School-wide messages often lack professionalism, can feel defensive, and minor parent concerns are sometimes shared publicly to frame you as the problematic parent for having concerns. A more professional communication system for updates (e.g., ClassDojo (free)) would benefit both staff and families. Transparency: Abrupt changes (such as program additions and tuition adjustments) are implemented with little notice or discussion, making the school feel less collaborative and more transactional. Director's Attitude and Behavior: The director's approach to communication and handling concerns can come across as defensive and controlling. In a role that requires regular interaction with parents, this behavior can negatively affect trust, collaboration, and the overall school community. More professionalism and openness would benefit both families and the school's reputation. read more

When we first visited the school, we met a smiling and laughing woman drying off after she had gotten sprayed while washing freshly picked fruit with the students. This kind and playful staff member turned out to be the Director of the school! What a refreshing first impression! I am writing this review to share my overwhelming gratitude for everything the owner, administrators, teachers, and other staff are doing for our son, as well as the rest of the children--as well as to highlight the incredible impact this school has made in our lives. While our (3-year-old) son has only been with AAIMS Montessori for a little over one month, I have noticed several significant differences in his demeanor and abilities. Our freshly 3-year-old son comes home each day and sings us multiple songs he learned in school! He tells us about working in his "journal book" and we get to see photos and videos of the activities he participates in! He is more confident in his own abilities and is requesting less assistance with manageable tasks. His creativity has really increased in play and while doing arts and crafts. This past weekend, he got a yoga mat out to represent a jet runway, then rolled it back up and put it away. I honestly don't think that clean-up or managing his space would have been on his radar before going to this school! He was so proud that he could clean it up himself and is starting to explore more independence. He also loves to go to school every day. Our older child struggled intensely with going to school, even though her time there was only 2.5 hours per day. We expected some resistance to this change, since he has never been in childcare outside of our home and has never been left with people he wasn't already very familiar with--but he has never showed even a glimpse of difficult feelings during this major transition! Our son has never hesitated or expressed anything but positivity about going to AAIMS Montessori. To me, this is huge. It is a testament to the environment they have created. read more

I cannot say enough good things about AAIMS Montessori. I love how involved the owner is with the school. The children gravitate towards her because of how good she is with children. The school is structured and organized, and I feel my kids benefit from this. I love how the kids learn to garden. I know both my kids enjoyed this part of the school. I do not recommend this business. First I want to say that Someone keeps flagging low star reviews on this page. As if they want to hide something. If someone has a bad experience at a place they shouldn't hide it they should just say what truly there experience was. Anyway I'll leave that as that. Yelp please review carefully before deleting reviews again because I already read the terms. I do not recommend sending your child to this child care center they are not AMI certified and I recommend doing your research first. Other than that I did not like how they have the children pick out of the garden and sell whatever they sell in front as a "farmers market" because AAIMS keeps that money for them not for the kids. Also they do not let the parents go inside to observe there child. It seems as is they hire anyone because they are always short on teachers. The last thing they are always out of ratio. I Do not recommend. Do your research. You do not want to leave your precious child in an environment that is not going to treat your child with love, respect, and compassion. Be aware of this school. We signed up our son for the GA PreK program offered in this school. We took him out of the program after a month. The school does not allow contact with the teachers. The only person you are allow to have any contact with is the principal/ owner of the school. The rules in place are very concerning. Parents are not welcome to any bday celebration. The GA pre k teacher gets to school and remains in her car on her cellphone until 8:29am. She leaves the car and start bringing carpool kids into the school. This is not only unprofessional but it talks of the low standards of the program at this school. The GA pre k teacher ( Maria) is very unapproachable and rude. I tried to initiate conversation with her more than once to find out about how my son was doing only to get yelled at by this teacher. The very last episode with her was in the parking lot while other parents starred at this sad situation. I had to call GA PreK program offices to make an official complaint . They were very helpful and immediately opened a case. They helped me transferred my son to another school where he's happy and I feel confident he's receiving a good education with professional teachers who really care about the kid's wellbeing. This is not a review made out of anger, since my son has been out of this school for two months. If you are looking for a sugar coated biased review this is not one of them. This is an honest review from a parent who has been at AAIMS for 4 years with 2 different children. My oldest child started in the toddler room and went through pre-k. My youngest is in the toddler room currently. I want to start by addressing people that personally attack Nargis. It's fairly unfounded. Nargis is super direct and can often be misinterpreted because of this. She is very no nonsense running the school. This includes having some strict rules for drop offs and pick ups. She does not allow parents to interrupt classes or linger causing children to be upset and cry as well as disturbing the other students. Elementary schools are run the same. The bottom line is that she would never let anything negative happen to one of our kids. She feeds nutritious food and does not allow parents to bring sugary foods in which I so appreciate. She provides tons of activities that both of my kids love, especially during the summer. They have a garden outside that the older children tend to. My oldest LOVED that garden when he was there.They teach skills like dressing with their jackets and cleaning up their meal trays. They sing and read everyday as well as Montessori activities. They have Spanish and The option to enroll in Playball for the children. They have 3 playgrounds for different ages. They are big enough for the children to enjoy but small enough for the teachers to sit and safely watch. They are also fenced. The younger children have bathrooms right in the classroom for those hold it to the last minute kiddos. I love the teachers here's in every single grade. They are kind and loving. I cannot say enough about what patience they have. They assist in helping the kiddos with potty training and I have never had either child come home with a rash from sitting in a soiled diaper. I want to say if there was a problem here I would know. I keep myself involved and I am diligent about what goes on. My children are the type that would alert me immediately if ANYTHING was off. They offer optional karate and ballet and I love seeing the students show off their skills at the holiday party for families. The assistant Amryn is such a sweetheart and has her sweet little dog there some days which is a super treat for the kids and also allowed by the state. My sons class just got a pet fish and he loves it. The tuition is fairly priced for everything provided. Nargis has worked with me in many areas of my Childrens well being and is always open to talk if you have a concern. If she feels a child's behavior is concerning she will tell you which we don't always want to hear. Because of her we were able to help my oldest with some behavior outbursts and he is excelling now in kindergarten. So that is the real behind the scenes look at AAIMS. read more

I am a school teacher and a pretty tough judge of schools for my children. This is my second year with children at AAIMS. I have a child in the primary class and a child in the elementary class. The director and staff are 100% committed to loving the children, keeping them safe, and providing a stimulating learning environment. The rules and procedures in place keep the school organized, safe, and centered around student learning. During the month of August I walked the downstairs hall daily to pick up my younger child. In each classroom the children were actively engaged with learning activities on his/her rug, at a table, or in circle time. The children were well-behaved and clearly understood the expectations of their classroom. Both of my children have THRIVED at this school because they feel safe, cared for, and stimulated academically. Even my three year old comes home with his journal beaming with pride as he shows me the work he has done. I am incredibly thankful for this school! read more

We can not say enough great things about AAIMS! Our son is now 5 and has been going to AAIMS since he was 16 months old. He has learned so much and has become very social. You can tell how much Nargis and the teachers care about him every time we drop him off and pick him up from school. We loved the school so much we did summer school there too each year. A.A.I.M.S. is an amazing school! They have the best teachers that strive everyday to teach, guide and direct the children and to prepare them for pre school classes/ kindergarten. This school teaches the children where they are on the learning scale and helps them grow and learn to love learning. My son comes home every day telling me about all of the new things he is learning like math and geography. They do a fabulous job teaching them about new cultures and celebrating holidays and birthdays. The food is healthy and good for the children. My son loves knowing what he is going to have for lunch and snack everyday. The school goes above and beyond to bring experiences in for the children to learn from. The owner does an amazing job communicating with the parents, keeping the morning drop off and afternoon pick up running smoothly. They also post pictures of the children on the school Facebook page so you can see what your child is doing at school. They also take lots of professional photos of the kids if parents or family members want to buy them. This is not just a business or a job for the people at A.A.I.M.S but a calling to love and teach children. This school is a God send for my son and my family. Being a first time mom, I did not want to leave my child with anyone as I was returning to work. I toured many childcare facilities and left crying because it just didn't feel right. Most were loud, chaotic, and had many children especially in the infant room. When I toured AAIMS I left feeling that my son would receive the attention and care I would give him. The low ratios in the classroom especially the infant room made me feel that his needs would be met, allowed him to explore and learn, and provide cuddle time. My son was able to transfer to the toddler room based on his level and not just at a particular age. In the toddler room he was able to learn so many things that I don't feel he would have learned at a regular daycare (ie. by 2 he could count to 11, knows many of his colors, learned about the continents, and so much more). Every morning all of the teachers (not just his own classroom) greeted him with a warm welcome and smile. AAIMS provides a calm environment that allows the children to explore and learn. read more

My daughter has attended AAIMS for several years now. I truly believe that an excellent gauge of whether your child is receiving a well rounded education is how excited they are about learning and how eager they are to attend school each day. Each child will progress at their own rate, but if a child is taught a love of learning, they are on a path of success that will follow them throughout the rest of their lives. We enrolled our daughter in school at AAIMS when she was 3 years old. The school director, Ms. Nargis, has real passion for her students and her teachers. We knew that AAIMS was the place for us when we did a visit of the school. Our daughter was at the school until the end of her 2nd grade year. She loved all her teachers at the school and has made many wonderful friendships. The teaching staff is very kind and caring and was always reaching out to us when there was something that we needed to talk about. I never had to worry when my daughter was at AAIMS. I always knew she was being taken care of and her days were filled with new experiences, learning life skills, creativity and academics. My daughter enjoyed gardening and learning about how our food is grown and harvested. She learned different kinds of art techniques. The creativity of teaching at this school and the freedom given to the students to learn at their own pace is a technique that we really believe gave our child her enthusiastic love of learning. I know that the academic and social skills and lessons that she learned at AAIMS will be the foundation upon which she will build for the rest of her life. read more

AAIMS is a wonderful school that taught our kids to be independent, expressive, respectful, caring, kind and much more. When our elder daughter started at AAIMS all the teachers and Ms.Nargis were very kind and showered her with so much love that she not only started looking forward to going to school within a few days but was questioning why I came early to pick her up. By the time she moved to public school for Kindergarten she was already reading chapter books and doing math at a higher grade level. It's not just the curriculum but the social skills they learn is amazing to us. I attribute all of that to the passionate and caring teachers who made learning fun. Ms.Nargis and the teachers know the children and how to engage them. When the time came for the second daughter to join AAIMS it was an easy transition as her sister told her all about school and got her excited. We are so glad we made the decision to send them to AAIMS as we can clearly see that children are the highest priority for Ms.Nargis and all of the teachers. We are so happy to have 2 little helpers at the house cleaning up after themselves, passionate about learning new things and listening to what parents tell them. My kid went to this school for a year and few months before we decided we had enough. Here are few of the things we struggled with: a) Limited extra curricular activities - This school has higher emphasis on academia rather than overall development of the child and thus violates the montessori philosophy. There is focus on making the child write a lot of pages and remembering as many things as possible, a technique which is practiced in many south Asian countries. The new montessori which we have since shifted to, emphasize overall development of the child by focussing on theater, chess, lego, karate, gardening, pets care etc which is more than just working on numbers and alphabets. b) Many times they don't have both teachers in the class and violate the maximum allowed teacher-student ratio. This happens because even if there is single teacher who misses school for some reason, Ms.Nargis (school director and owner) is not able to have a quick replacement for that day. She also does have any administrative staff who can play that role. c) The biggest challenge in the school is Ms. Nargis, herself. I have spoken to many parents at the school and they all had the same feedback. I would agree that some times her intentions are right but her approach to communicate any message is so wrong and rude. She makes it so difficult to talk to her. A simple message which can be communicated via a smile and simple explanation, turns out to be a harsh criticism. Also, she runs the school like a dictator where the rules are sometimes inconsistent and depends on her mood at that time. What might apply to one parent/child, might be totally different for another parent/child even if the circumstances are same. d) It is so difficult to get feedback about the progress of the child in the school. Here are a few concrete examples a) you are not allowed to talk to the teacher at the time of drop-off or pick-up even if you are just trying to get a quick status about the child b) the school journal is only send home once a month, so you don't have an idea about the daily activities c) you cannot observe the class even from outside the class with the door shut (to prevent the class from getting disturbed) d) the parent-teacher conference is held very infrequently etc. I don't understand why is the school so paranoid and what is there to hide. e) There is frequent churn of the assistant teachers. In the ~15 months we were there, we saw 3-4 assistant teachers change. I am not sure what the issue was. f) Even the school calls itself Montessori, it is run based on the likes/dislikes of the school director and the Montessori principles are not followed. I agree that it is AMS certified and not AMI, thus have more flexibility, but I don't agree when the principles are completely ignored. The school also needs a good assistant director who can share more responsibilities and can help run the school more smoothly. read more
