Since it appears that Staten Islanders don't leave a lot of Yelp reviews, and I see the reviews here are five years old or more, let me be the one to tell you that just over a year ago I went to see Dr. Frank for smoking cessation, and it was a success. At the time I was half a believer, a little skeptical, but hopeful. The first few weeks I did struggle and it wasn't that I wanted to smoke, I struggled with the concept of "why can't I as an adult", which is a completely separate psychological issue haha and I'm happy to say that had ceased as well. Having a normal routine disrupted is often overlooked as the cause of people having difficulty quitting. so I did snack a little more, I did get mad a little more. But I got thru it. I am grateful the service that Dr. Nasso provided was able to accomplish so much for me so quickly, I don't think that I would have been able to do it on my own. You have to be ready. Dr. Nasso and his treatment to help with stopping smoking has worked for me since 2009. I went one time and picked up again and went right back to smoking, like he said. Then I went a second time, followed his instructions and education of what nicotine addiction is and have not smoked for 14 years. I congratulated myself for quitting, like he recommended! I had tried everything before and nothing else worked. I walked out of his office not craving a cigarette and when I did, it lasted 10-15 seconds and subsided. I could drink coffee and be like, "Huh, I used to love to have my morning coffee and smoke, but I don't smoke anymore." All you haters didn't want to really quit. You may have had the "idea" you needed to quit but you didn't really want to. I smoked for 30 years I'm adhd need the fixation needed the immediate gratification had the thoughts coursing thru my body and head. I tried everything. This was the only method where I didn't get sick withdrawals or the crazies. Not saying it was easy quitting is not but wanting to quit and doing the acupuncture along with the positive reinforcement made it palpable. I went to see Dr. Nasso a couple months ago, approximately about 54 days ago and been meaning to post my review and I've been so busy and forgot until today when a random young lady came across a video I posted on FB the day I went to visit Dr.Nasso while smoking my last cigarette. Anyway, the young lady asked about the outcome and if it workwd. So to pay it forward I thought I'd post my status after seeing Dr. Nasso and where I am today. So initially, when I had my session with him he mentioned that a small population usually have to come back for a second session (at NO COST). Turns out I was part of the small population. After leaving his office (the first time) I felt good but still had minor cravings. Day 2 of my vacation in NYC the cravings got stronger so I called Dr. Nasso and told him what I was experiencing. Unfortunately, it was a Sunday I had to come back to MD and unfortunately the office was closed!! But in contacting Dr.Nasso he was kind enough to ask me come to where he lives and we can do the second session on when I was heading back home. I did just that, my fiance and I stopped in Jersey and met with Dr. Nasso on his day off and he gave me a second round of therapy and I felt the nicotine or what was left of it instantly leave my body. I felt a lot better then I did when I left his office initially. Since then I've been smoke free! I've smoke for 15 plus years and have tried everything from the gum to patches to DIY home remedies online and nothing worked. So I was skeptical about this but I really wanted to quit smoking and didn't have it in me to do it myself. That said Dr.Nasso's therapy was exactly what I needed, but it's not a miracle. You have to do the work after he does his part. He gives you a list of things to repeat on a daily basis. He goes over breathing exercises with you that help release chemicals in your brain to combat the cravings. Im not going to say I don't think about cigarettes, it's always been my go to when life happens, I drink coffee, use the bathroom, when I'm bored, etc. I'm sure you all can relate but I keep to the script and I'm happy to say my fiance and I are happy with the results. I'm forever grateful to Dr. Nasso for what he does! If you're thinking about quitting, stop thinking and start doing. Setting up an appointment is easy and you won't regret it. I went to Dr. Nasso three years ago this month. I have been smoke free since that day. To the Californian who said it didn't work, I along with 6 of my friends are proof that it does work. It must be that you have to WANT to stop smoking. I had been smoking since i was 17 yrs old, 1 and a half packs a day, every day for 43 years. I stopped that night, and never looked back. Yes you have cravings, yes you want to smoke, BUT you don't give into the psychological addiction. I found D. Nasso's smoking session a complete JOKE!! He claims he can rid you of all nicotine, with a zap to the ear in three different places. I spoke with my Primary with regards to this type of procedure and my Primary told me it is IMPOSSIBLE to rid your body of ALL nicotine with a zap to the ear. My doctor said to me, "I thought you were smarter than this!" Dr. Nasso claims, that if you do not do his Mantra, the procedure will not work. But, you just told us, that with the zaps to the ear, the nicotine will be gone?.... When, I asked for a receipt to submit to my Insurance company for reimbursement, I was told they don't do that. They do not have the insurance codes and they do not want the Insurance Companies calling them. In addition to that, the machine that he claims he is using, is not the machine he is actually using. I did some research on this machine. You can purchase this machine called the E-ACU-PEN on line for $59.95. LOL!! This machine is used for minor aches and pains. I stumbled into 3 different people over the last 2 months, that went to see Dr. Nasso for his quit smoking session. They all told me, that what a crock of BS, he his spilling. None of them quit smoking, including myself. On top of all this, when you're in the crapped up waiting room, where he does his lecture, he said, there were 4 people that cancelled and how they are missing out!! There was absolutely no more room for these so-called people, unless they sat on my shoulders. I just wish, I would of done my research before coughing up $195.00 to this QUACK!! Do yourself a favor. I've been a smoker for 35 years. I have tried dozens of times to quit, using the patch, gum, Chantix (did not like the side effects), etc.. I used smoking as a crutch for when I'm nervous, stressed, angry, upset, etc., you get the picture. I gave up trying, thinking that I will just keep on smoking & eventually die from it. 3 weeks ago, I woke up one morning feeling like crap. Tired, weak and my chest hurt. I'm only 50 yrs old & in good shape, so it had me a bit nervous. After 2 days of feeling like this, I started searching the internet for ways to quit smoking, AGAIN, and came across the name Dr. Frank Nasso. I read the reviews, mostly positive, so decided to contact his office. I figured it's only $195 & I've spent thousands on cigarettes, so why not? I made the appt & then called my friend to let her know (also a smoker) She decided it was time for her too, so she called & made an appt. The next day, she told her neighbor & she called for an appt. The 3 of us went to Dr. Nasso on Wednesday 9/12/18, sat through the 2 hour lecture & then each one got zapped. THIS WAS THE BEST DECISION I HAVE EVER MADE!!! I'm 2 weeks, SMOKE FREE! They are as well. YES, it does work. The Auriculotherapy is 100% legit. It really does eliminate the cravings & withdrawals. I'm not going to lie, smoking does cross my mind from time to time, but it's not a craving & it passes. I'm not miserable or cranky like I was when using the patch or gum. I'm not sure why another (Hallie Y) only gave 1*, and felt that it was a joke, but I guess everyone is entitled to their opinion. I can't rave enough about Dr. Nasso and his staff. It's exactly one month since my appt. to quit smoking and the treatment worked! The follow-up was incredible because they checked in the next day and demanded I come back for a re-do (free during the first week after initial appt.) when I said I was feeling "a little edgy" because I shouldn't even be feeling THAT. I was reluctant and said "no" but Dr. Nasso persisted and I wanted to make sure I did what I was supposed to do. So I went back 5 days later, still not thinking I needed it because I felt really good and in control. But he was right (of course) because I felt even more incredible than before! This was my first attempt at quitting a 28 year habit and I was extremely nervous about the anxiety and withdrawals. Dr. Nasso's treatment eliminates that and the daily mantra and other tips helps with the mental aspect. He's an awesome person and incredibly dedicated and genuine in wanting to heal people and help them live their best lives. I have absolutely no plans on going back to smoking but if I do, it's entirely on me and I will go right back to Dr. Nasso to help me quit again.
