I went for their wellness detoxification package that included 60mins of hot stone massage, 30mins foot reflexology and 60mins facial. Best experience ever!! This place is a little sketchy--they make you pay in cash, and then they bill your insurance as if you didn't pay them anything. And you have no receipt. I itemize my medical expenses, including acupuncture, so that system just doesn't work for me logistically, because I need all the receipts. But just the shady nature of this practice makes me distrust everything else they do--how do I know the acupuncturist is actually really qualified, etc? It just turned me off that place completely. I've been meaning to get a massage for months, and not waiting to deal with the wind and cold of Manhattan, I decided to try here one more time for a spur of the moment appointment. I called and got scheduled for a 1 hour massage and their dehydration facial for noon. Don't worry shoulder- you're gonna be functional soon! You walk in and the couches are purple with diamonds; Prince would be proud. It at first seemed a little over the top, but don't be intimidated. They also ask you to slip off your shoes and put on some slippers. Comfort level is like a 6/10 by now, and they didn't even handle me yet! Jenny took me to a room in the back, asking to take everything but my underwear off, and get under the covers - which she didn't have to tell me twice! There was soft piped in music to set the mood, and I was quick to get myself into relaxation mode. The room was small and private with a sliding door. There's hooks on the wall to hang your coat and clothes, and even some hair ties to pull back your hair! I love little details like that! Jenny, although she spoke minimal, was aware of why I was there in the first place, and went right to work on my left shoulder. I could feel her working intently on my knots, and it was glorious! She checked in on her pressure application, and I appreciate that. She worked hard, and I was in pain afterwards. Again, just as to be gentle if need be, and she adjusts to your needs! 90 minutes later, I was ready for my facial. **Facials here are NOT for beginners!** The reason I say this, is because Jenny didn't explain anything she was going to do or while she was doing it. I have had many facials in the past, and felt comfortable enough to allow her to do her thing without a tutorial. If you're new to the facial scene, I would recommend trying another place first so you know what you're getting yourself into. Now, my facial was for a dehydrated recovery due to all the cold weather we've been having. I did experience a burning sensation to one of the masks she applied after my extractions, and I spoke up, and she quickly removed it. I'm not sure exactly what the active ingredient was that made my skin burn, but I immediately felt relief when she removed it. She did apply a calming mask and it fixed the problem. Everyone reacts differently, so make sure you don't keep that to yourself. Overall, I had a great pampering day, and would definitely treat myself soon! read more

I love this place! Omg, omg, omg. I have been here 4 times so far, courtesy of my sister's recommendation as she used to live in the area. Becky and Linda are the best! They take their time and have the best hands ever. I would not go to anyone else. I always get the relaxation and beauty massage. $85, plus 7 bucks tax. It's a total of an hour and a half and consists of a 30 minute foot massage, 30 minute body (part/area), and 30 minute facial. They let me change it up a little bit and allowed me to do 45 minutes for the body and 15 minutes for the foot, which I loved and appreciated--it was much needed. Becky found a spot near my shoulder blade that had a lot of tension and she focused a little on that area to get the knot out. And the facial left my face glowing and cleansed! This place is not in my neck of the woods but I travel here because it is oh so worth it! i highly recommend this place. It really is a gem. I wish they had a reward program though. I have visited them three times this month already. The prices are very reasonable. A 60 min massage is $60 they charge extra from credit card. An initial acupuncture appointment is $150 and its worth every penny. I came to them after i pinched a nerve in my neck and I was in so much pain. After a single treatment I felt SO much better. I've been suffering from some lower back pain and all over tightness for weeks. I'd finally decided late last night I'd plan on a massage. Well this morning, I woke up with major tightness and decided I'd come check this place out. Gave them a call and walked over, they were running late but no worries. I gave them a few to settle themselves before walking in and was greeted by the owner, Ann. I told her I needed a massage and she asked what my focus was so I told her and showed her my trouble spots except for one, my right shoulder. It hurts so bad, I can't sleep on it and I'm a side sleeper. She also asked me how much pressure I wanted, I told her medium. She then took me into the back to my room and asked if it was ok and assumes I knew what to do next. I did, got undressed and laid down on the bed. My masseuse came in, quietly greeted me and got to work. I didn't get her name but she's got magic hands. When she hit my lower back where I felt the most pain, I made a noise and she put eased off a bit but really worked it later on and I could literally feel all the pressure release. When she started on my neck and shoulders, she hit my right shoulder and without me saying anything, really worked it. Maybe she could feel something there but man that pain is gone now. While I still feel some pressure and pain in my lower back, I feel way better than I have in weeks. If you live in the area or just visiting and need a massage, I'd come check this place out. The massage it's self was ok, like I said nothing special. At times it hurt I couldn't relax because it wasn't the normal rub out the tension massage it was the push on your tender spot till it hurts kind and at the end I didn't feel relaxed just confused. I treated my daughter to the 90-minute deep tissue massage for her birthday on 12/28 and she had a great experience. We walked in and were immediately graciously greeted by John (front desk personnel). The atmosphere was very calming and the decor was warm and inviting. The colors of the furniture and lighting gave off a feeling of low-end luxury. (Not a bad thing. The furniture showed some wear.) John escorted my daughter to her masseuse and I decided to run a few errands in the area in the meantime. I returned 20 minutes before her session ended and was once again enveloped in the pleasant, relaxing environment. When my daughter came out she looked so relaxed she had the same look on her face that she gets after waking up from a good night's sleep. Lol. I asked her how everything went and she said it was very good, nearly excellent. She said the only reason it wasn't excellent was that she felt the masseuse could have "gone deeper" with the massage, but she figured the very nice masseuse didn't want to cause any discomfort. Love this place! Prices -- Average, same as most other places in the area. Decor/Rooms -- Everything is colored in deep shapes of purple and burgundy. The rooms are very private, the low lighting and music are so relaxing. Some massage places are noisy and use nothing but sheets to separate customers from one another. I really like that each room is completely separate from the next and they even have a little mirror on the wall so you can make sure you look ok before you leave- especially if you get a scalp massage and your hair is a little messy, lol! Customer Service -- The young man at the front desk is a gem! He is so sweet and polite from the moment I came in, and made sure to ask if I had any problem areas I wanted to focus on. He also accommodated my Yelp check-in coupon for the hot stone treatment with no issues. One thing to keep in mind is that whatever time amount you choose for the massage, the hot stone is included in that time not added on. I personally would prefer to continue my deep tissue massage if I had known that part of my massage would be replaced by the stone treatment. However, that did not take away from my visit or experience, just something to keep in mind. Massage -- Awesome! I frequently get deep tissue massages to help with tightness in my back; sitting at a desk job all day in combination with poor posture really does a number on my back. The past few days I had trouble sleeping because of tightness between my shoulder blades. My masseuse had very strong hands and even hopped up on the table at times to get a better angle and to put more pressure on my knots. She was able to provide incredible relief to my aching back..last night I slept like a baby! Cleanliness -- Very clean, and that is one of the determining factors I look for when choosing a spa. As I was leaving, I saw them getting cleaning supplies ready and even preparing a mop for the floor. You can tell they really care about keeping the place immaculate. My husband and I have visited this spa about 3 times and we have never been disappointed. He booked our couples massage as a Valentine Day gift and I was just so thrilled, cause I was really needing this. We got there and as always everyone was pleasant and sweet. We were escorted into our room and attended to quickly. Nina was excellent, she got all my kinks out and just had me fully relaxed by the end of my massage. My husband was a little worried that he forgot to request a male masseuse, but Jenny really put it on him and he also was pleased with his massage.
