I have a one acre property that had been sadly neglected when I bought this house. It was an overgrown, Chinese elm-infested sticker patch with a beautiful view. I am not a yard work person and I knew that even if I were, this was way beyond my capabilities. 1. Jeronimo actually answered his phone, something none of the other landscape/irrigation companies did (and of the messages I left, NONE called me back (ah, Santa Fe, I still love you...) 2. Jeronimo came by the same day I called to assess the job and gave me a price on the spot. At first I thought, "YIKES! that's a lot of money!" But I agreed to it because it needed to be done. I am from California and I am all too aware of the fire hazard of this kind of foliage, having just watched my house nearly burn down from a wildfire. 3. A week later, on the agreed date, at the agreed time, Jeronimo and his crew showed up ready to tackle my unruly acre. For the next 3 full days, there was a crew of 3-5 men on my property working their hearts out. The men were polite, courteous and super-hardworking. I lost count of the trailer's full of dump-bound refuse after about 6. I watched this place transform into the gorgeous property it should be. 4. Jeronimo and his men didn't just come in and slash away at things. Jeronimo has the knowledge of a serious arborist and as his men worked their way through the meadow section, they left the clumps of wildflowers standing and cut limbs off trees in a way that will promote healthy future growth. They all have knowledge of the landscape and plants they are working with and are sensitive to the needs of the ecology of the space -- just like a fancy landscape architect would be. By the end of the first day, I could see how much actual work my place would be and I realized that the price was absolutely fair. 5. Jeronimo is helping me work out a phased plan for my acre that will include rehabilitating the irrigation system and planting fruit trees and installing critter proof raised beds along with rock work. He is a knowledgable man and seems to know that everyone should walk away happy. I HIGHLY recommend Green Garden, even though I'd like to keep them as my own secret weapon.

They will ask you to pay everything up front, and then compromise for taking small money draws. Don't do it! Not only did this company fail to complete the job and after taking my money, dollars, they also stole tools and appliance from my home. Our rates are as follows: $75.00 for the first hour and $60.00 per hour far any additional time after that." I responded yes within an hour by email and also by phone. I received an email on Monday after 6pm that said "Our scheduler will contact you 1st thing in the morning." I did not receive a call (or text or email) from anyone--even after I sent a polite follow-up email and another polite phone message. I am OK if they could not schedule right away, but they should respond with their true availability and communicate if that availability changes. I pray that he will find guidance to help him be accountable in his business.
