I think a previous review put it best when they said Frank was a Master Artist. I called on Frank for a pretty difficult assignment: a senior photo for a yearbook picture. Sounds easy enough. Cut to my kiddo who is a fantasy writer, in the Creative Writing Conservatory at Orange County School of the Arts. Not the usual kid, not the usual school, and a usual photographer was not going to do. I looked and looked for a photographer who could handle alternative imagery (I don't know how else to put it). Not to mention, my child is also autistic and shy and does NOT like photos taken, so that was going to be a hurdle as well. Another photographer, who's opinions I respect, recommended Frank for the job. He kindly took us on with very short notice as the deadline was rapidly approaching. We had the BEST time at the session! He made my child extremely comfortable with his warm personality. And he knew exactly the "feel" we wanted for the photos. His wife was also there to help and she was so kind to us. The whole experience was enjoyable. And the photos! They were incredible, and really captured my quirky kid's passion. We are blown away at how good they turned out. I would recommend Frank to anyone and don't hesitate to ask him for the unusual. He's extremely good at understanding your needs. Frank was the photographer at our Oct 24, 2009 wedding at The St Regis Monarch Beach. We had a total of 30 people at our wedding so you would think, having a photographer AND an assistant (Britney ) would be a little over-whelming, right? WRONG! Our wedding was such an incredibly important moment and beautiful day in our lives, so we feel blessed to have worked with Frank. Worth every penny. We were so satisfied with our experience with Frank for a number of reasons including the following: (1) Frank's photographs are amazing. Just beautiful. We had the opportunity to have him shoot our engagement session at Irvine Regional Park before the wedding. Our photos came out so much better than we could have imagined - we almost didn't recognize ourselves or the park! We looked professional and he helped us get comfortable being the subject of the photos, with suggestions for posing to position us to look our best (and not look awkward :)). He has already sent a few photographs from the wedding - they're beautiful! We are so excited to see the rest! (2) He is experienced. Throughout the entire process, Frank was professional, organized and responsive. We had never been married and weren't sure what photographs we would want. Frank took good care of us. We got married on July 26, 2014 at the Mission Basilica, and the reception was held at Rancho Las Lomas. Frank had previously worked at both locations and knew where we could take photographs to make the most of our gorgeous locations. He had also confirmed with us the pictures we most wanted to ensure we had. Best part, he remembered and followed through with getting those photos. For example (just one of many), I wanted to make sure that my sisters were closest to me in our group photos. On the day of the wedding, we were taking group photos at the Mission with the bridal party and we were all out of order, with my sisters on the outsides of the group. Before Frank started with the photos, he paused, looked at everyone, and put my sisters to stand next to me. Such a small thing, I couldn't believe he remembered; I was so thankful. I cannot rave enough about Frank Salas Photography; he photographed our 7/14/2012 wedding at Coto de Caza Golf and Racquet Club. Frank and his staff are incredible and his work is jaw dropping. His unedited pictures blow away other photographers' edited pictures. Our experience with him has been excellent and he is truly a class act in the level of customer service he and his staff provide. When we first saw his work, we wanted to hire him but worried he would be out of reach given our budget. After getting quotes from other decent and good photographers through email, we met with Frank. He spent an hour and half with us, showed us examples of his work at our venue, and got to know us. As soon as we walked out of his office, we were sold. We knew the price could not be beat and that working with him would make our day so much easier and that he would relieve typical wedding day stress. We did an engagement session and Frank did a fantastic job of getting us comfortable in front of the camera. We loved our engagement pictures and sign in book. Before the wedding day, we met with Frank and went over the day of timeline. The day of the wedding, Frank and his assistant arrived promptly and took care of everything so that we could just enjoy the day. Frank knew all the best spots for pictures. Frank took time in setting up shots in order to capture them perfectly and did that throughout the day for the posed pictures; his expertise in capturing action shots was apparent. When he showed us a few, we loved how he worked with lighting in capturing some gorgeous shots. Though it was the busy season, we received our proofs about 6 weeks later and love them; it will be really hard to choose the ones for the photo book! He is the BEST photographer you could ever hire. He took the time to take quality photos and gave us more pictures than we could have ever imagined to choose from. For the engagement session, he took tons of pictures and chose different unique areas to shoot at, so we had a wide variety of backgrounds. I did not feel rushed and was really impressed with the guest book he created. The day of the wedding, he was funny and kept my wedding party (and family) in check when trying to get through all the photos.
