Park is clean and well maintained except some cement pads are cracked. Standard sites are very small, both length and width. Neighbor's awning only inches away from my slideout. 5th wheel on other side didnot have enough length for pick up truck parking. WiFi doesnot support streaming. Cable tv only on some lots in the rear of the park. Expensive - Standard full hookup was $63. Week night and $73 weekend. Indoor pool and hot tub nice, camp store well stocked.

Everything, everyone was nice and everything was clean. Lose to everything in Frankenmuth and the weekend activities were fun.

But due to all the smoke in the Canadian wildfires, it is unhealthy for us to stay in the camper. We both have asthma. We called the park to ask if we could get a refund they said no we stay at this park every year when we come to Michigan unfortunately we will no longer stay there they were not lenient to our health issues and that we had to cancel the celebration of life and reschedule it to September instead, they chose greed and to keep our money very sad. We really liked that park.

We've camped at Pine Ridge Campground for the past five years. Over that time, we've chosen to…read moreoverlook some ongoing issues -- including a strong and persistent natural gas smell, ant infestations, loud music from a nearby bar, and no real amenities for families. The playground is extremely outdated and rarely used -- it's telling that you almost never see kids riding bikes or playing in the park. Still, we returned each year, hoping for a peaceful stay. Unfortunately, this year changed everything. Managers Joe and Susan falsely accused us of having our dog off-leash (which he never was). We always keep him leashed and use an e-collar to help manage barking. Joe even admitted that no other campers had complained, and we've never had any dog-related issues at any other campground. Despite this, they continued circling our site in their golf cart, closely watching us, and bullying to the point of telling us we were no longer welcome--threatening to call the police for no valid reason. Joe even made a comment about noticing my dog was standing on our dinette table - so he was peering outside our window??? No wonder my dog barked at him. We closed all our shades the remainder of the weekend to avoid feeling like we were living in a fishbowl. This kind of targeting isn't new -- last year, Joe also rushed over in his golf cart to confront us about a visitor pass we had already paid for, showing a lack of trust and an overly aggressive approach. So yet another instance of over-the-top behavior that seems to define their management style. Additionally, communication at this campground is poor -- it's often hard to reach someone to even make a reservation, there's no automation and poor responsiveness. On what should have been a bustling, beautiful summer weekend, the park was nearly empty, which speaks volumes. After years of being respectful, loyal guests, we've decided it's time to move on. If you're looking for a welcoming, dog- or family-friendly campground with basic hospitality and amenities, we suggest looking elsewhere.

We were able to hear the waves crashing and we basically had a private beach. You couldn't book online, but the person who helped us set up the reservation was very courteous. When we arrived with our camper, the manager actually rode his bike in front of us to guide us to our spot and helped my husband as he was backing up the camper so that the door would open right on the cement pad. It does come with an above ground half barrel firepit. We didn't use their facilities since we had full hookup (I'm pretty sure all the spots have full hookup). The playground, albeit small, was within view of our campsite so we were ok with letting the kids go play on it while we set up camp. And it looks like they have a boat onsite that you can charter out for fishing, but with just the 4 of us and 2 of us until the age of 7, it wouldn't have been a value add to the quality of our trip, especially since I was pretty familiar with the Tawas area and we were less than 10 minutes from downtown. If you're looking for a party campground, this isn't it. There are a lot of seasonal and permanent residents onsite, so weekend sites are hard to come by. My family enjoyed the experience so much, we plan on calling them early next year to try to get the same spot way in advance so we can go swimming from our own private beach again! Highly recommended.

Through a Google search, we found this campground. This campground is quiet, exceptionally well-cared for, convenient y located to all Tawas and West Branch attractions and located on a beautiful piece of property. The owners and hosts, Calvin and Jeannie, are wonderful people who will make you feel right at home. Though tent camping sites are available, we decided to splurge and rent a glamping cabin with a king bed. It was the perfect blend of luxury and the rustic feel of being in nature. We enjoyed meandering around the well marked trails and relaxing at the river, just a short walk from the campground. The spring birds were plentiful, allowing a quiet alternative to the more crowded Tawas spots. The glamping cabin was immaculately clean, the bed was firm and the bedding was very nice. The ceiling fan, standing fan and mini heater allow for a comfortable sleeping and relaxing environment. We enjoyed afternoons in the hammock, evening fires and then relaxing in bed streaming our favorite Netflix shows while eating microwave popcorn (we brought the food and technology; microwave, fridge and wifi provided) Every camper knows the sacrifices made while visiting the restrooms and showers. No sacrificing needed here. The facilities are large and super clean. They even smell amazing and are tastefully decorated. We were provided with a golf cart to trek back and forth to the restroom which was appreciated at night. What a treat! The campground is primarily seasonal campers with many sites for RV's and more limited tent camping, with and without utilities. The crowd seems older and quiet though there is a cute little playground and lots of space for kids to explore nature. Our grandson would love fishing from the river. This visit may have been our first but it won't be our last. We almost hate to write this review and risk this gem becoming more popular. Alas, we want the owners to enjoy wild success as they provide such a wonderful place to enjoy nature.

That room was dirty and clearly not finished. The door to the work room was also across the hall and open. There were tools and supplies everywhere and it was quite messy. The hall carpets contained dust. The elevator was usable but covered with moving blankets. Notes were posted about the delicate state of the elevator and that it could take two hours if you were stuck inside. They moved us to another room and that room was definitely better. However the sink pipe leaked (good thing we had two small trash cans). The shower rod was uneven so the curtain leaked on the floor. We had to ask for linens for the sofa bed and an extra towel. Also, I'd like to see more outlets in the bedroom. Overall the quality of the remodel looks a little shabby. Hopefully they get their act together.
