Your child may be viciously bitten in the arm by a small boy with an eye patch and buck teeth. My son will be traumatized for LIFE due to this terrible act of violence, and the institution did nothing other than suspend the culprit for three days. NOT ENOUGH. This environment of propagated violence is completely clear from the moment you drop your son or daughter to this creative "learning" center. Children begin their day by singing ridiculous songs about sharing and mutual respect, and are fed terrible snacks conjured up from some liberal health nut's cookbook: something like California Raisins and saltines. My kid may have scurvy for all I know. No gluten or nuts are provided due to other student's allergies. IT IS ABSOLUTELY ABSURD. From there, it only gets worse. instead of learning useful skills like mathematics and balancing a personal checkbook, the kids play silly and aggressive games like duck duck goose and "Baby in the Air" whatever the hell that is. It sounds like abortion to me. The instructors, and I use that term loosely, spend at least a half an hour reading to the children instead of trusting in their own abilities to make out the meanings of books by helpful pictorial guides. Then, after lulling the kids into a state of hypnosis with soporific stories and undernourishment, the teachers tell the kids they can just pull out a sleeping bag and take a nap. These are kids, aren't they? They have LOADS of energy and don't need to be treated like hungover teenagers. Besides, I don't want my young boy coming home energized by preschool after I just spent a 9 hour day at work. I want him to feel like he learned something, exhausted by the new and fascinating world set before him, not amped up on games, puzzles, building blocks, and world literature. After my son's dental shanking, ER visit, and five stitches, the school had the NERVE to settle this between us and the little bastard's parents. and when pressed by his "attorney" father and "interior designer" mother, do you know what that wretched boy claimed? He claimed he bit my son after my boy kissed his girlfriend and pushed him off a swing. EWW. The fact that a four year old would even imagine having a girlfriend offends me. The school must be promoting sex or showing one of those subversive Disney movies like Beauty and the Beast and The Little Mermaid: both trashy films about interracial dating and bestiality. So you heard it here first. Ignore the overall five star rankings on Yelp and take it from me. Miss Joan's Little School is garbage and creative learning breeds violence and promiscuity. I'm sure the nearly 40 years of "preschool excellence" are about to run up, and I'll be the first to have seen it coming.

After accepting her threat to call the police, she receded her words.....proceeded to contact to the police herself first, and told them that I am no longer allowed on the property anymore to pick up or drop off my daughter. I will not say this school isn't great, because it really is. but the Front Office does not handle things appropriately. They should remain unbiased and neutral, but they do not.

This school has it's pros and cons. The pro is the small…read moreclass sizes. Less than 50 students per grade, so it is possible to know all of your classmates. This is also a con because it makes "cliques" more apparent. Pros: Parent-teacher relationships are strong. Attached to the church so there is no walking outside during inclement weather. Nuns still teach and run the school, this is less common in some other Catholic schools. Convenient for local children. Has after school program. CORA is available to tutor children who are having trouble, this happens during school hours. Cons: Costly, there are even charges if your child stays for lunch (which last I remember is held in the classrooms since there is no proper cafeteria.) Lack of after school activities, and those that do exist are expensive. Extracurricular classes are poor, in particular gym, which is held in the chilly basement of the church. Small class sizes mean advanced students are held back. To keep them busy they are asked to help less advanced students. Most of the student body lives in the area and graduates to Archbishop Ryan. Religion is held in high regard, and is very prevalent in the classroom. By attending this school, CCD is not mandatory as you study for and receive the sacraments through their church.

The infant room program is excellent; the teachers are attentive and caring. Recently I received a call from Miss Megan (one of the owners) after I had picked up my daughter for the day. Megan called to let me know that the classroom teacher realized they had forgotten to send home two unused bottles of breastmilk. Normally, they would keep them for use the following day- but it happened to be a Friday. Immediately my heart sank, because Goddard observes strict time limits on storage of breastmilk/formula, and I knew that the bottles of liquid gold would not be able to be saved for Monday. I could have driven back to the school to pick them up, but instead Megan offered to drop them off to my house on her way home that night. Talk about service! The teacher didn't have to alert someone to the oversight. Megan didn't have to go out of her way on a Friday night to drop off my baby's bottles. But they did it anyway! Saving the world- one bottle of breastmilk at a time LOVE Goddard Horsham!

Our daughter has grown immensely from the education and structure received since her start and we thank you for that. Additionally we respect the discipline, level of instruction and experience that all of the staff offer to our children through their variety of learning engagements. The staff is not only supportive, friendly and caring but are committed to educating our children vs the common "babysitting" practice we experienced with prior Childcare facilities. Lastly we have great comfort in knowing this is a safe school with implemented safety technology/procedures that are executed daily giving us the assurance our children are in safe hands during the day. My oldest started at Mary Mother of the Redeemer (MMR) in Kindergarten, and we've loved it ever…read moresince. I now have 3 children there, from Pre-K to middle school. I love the community there, as it's very welcoming and supportive. My children are very happy there, and they've made some great friends (as have we as parents). I was first drawn to MMR because it was familiar; I went to Catholic grade school. I've been really pleased to see how progressive the school is, academically and technologically. If you're looking for smaller class sizes, a sense of community, and an education based in morals and values, MMR is a great option.

I was placed in the front of the school in a room with approximately 10-12 other children with ADD. We did well in subject matters but had trouble staying focused and seated. What I do remember very well were the beatings we all suffered from the teachers. One was named Lauer, possibly Alfred. Back in the 60s, they used old-fashioned yardsticks to keep us in order. They would beat us until we cried. We had nobody to appeal to, as we were just a bunch of 7 year old munchkins. How bad could we have been? Lauer would first verbally torture the children. Then, if we reacted in an adverse manner, he would take his yardstick, which was never far from him, and beat the living crap of the child in his sights. Although we were not part of the larger school with many autistic children, we did have lunch with them in the lunchroom. I remember quite vividly those poor souls being beaten and abused by the staff. They never tried to hide or cover up the abuse. Delta School and others have been successful for the past 5-10 years at deleting my eyewitness account of what went on in this hellhole. Every time I post what happened there, they complain and my review is deleted. Next time, I will file suit and testify in Philadelphia court. This is a truthful account and they want it quashed. If you love your children, DO NOT send them to this school.
