She is extremely incompetent and her boss said she's one of their most senior underwriters. Well, she didn't review the documents we uploaded and she ended up conditioning us for a document to prove a debt my client paid off 20 years ago was indeed paid off. Do you keep documents for 20 years? There was no corresponding debt showing up on my clients credit report, no mention in the automated underwriting system, only Tammie's word that we needed to prove a phantom debt was paid. Honestly it seems malicious to me because I already called her out on her incompetence from her initial underwrite, which was late, by the way. I'd advise you stay away from this lender at all costs. If the option is to stay a renter vs. apply for a mortgage with Franklin American I'd suggest you stay renting. This company demonstrates everything wrong with our industry and they employ incompetent or malicious people like Tammie Barnes.
