About 5 years ago was my first visit to Lighting Strikes Pro Shop, and I've never gone anywhere else since! I bought a new ball in my hometown over Thanksgiving break, and a pro shop there measured my hand and drilled it. The fit was absolutely terrible and needed to be fixed. When I got home to Orlando, I brought my new ball to Mike and he fixed it for me on the spot. He remeasured my hand, put a plug into the ball and re-drilled the holes. It fits like a glove now. He spent the time to make it perfect and watched me throw it a few times to make sure everything was okay before I left. After that experience, I've gone to him ever since. The shop has everything you need, and if they don't, they'll more than likely order it for you. The prices are competitive and the service is impeccable! Not only do they sell, bags, balls, shoes, tape, etc., but they also offer great advice. They're always happy to let me know what ball would best fit me when I want a new one. My first experience with this store is buying my own pair of shoes around late 2015. Mike was very helpful and I knew very little about bowling equipment. I was curious about what made all the bowling balls along the wall special compared to house balls and he took the time to explain cover stocks, core, and the importance of getting a ball drilled to fit your hand properly. A few weeks later, there was a Black Friday promotion in the store. I was curious to see what having my own ball would be like so I bit the bullet and bought a used bowling ball. Mike took the time to take measurements and did a great job of drilling the ball. Knowing that was my first time, he also took some time to go over the basics of rolling a ball. I realized I could use some improvement and still had much to learn. I inquired about getting a lesson and scheduled a lesson with Mike. That's when he went into more detail about my footwork, timing, and some of the basics. Well... long story short, it's been less than 2 years since my first visit into the shop and I've come back to get 6 more balls, another pair of shoes, utilizing ball cleaning services, and more lessons. I still receive the great service that I experienced since the first day and greeted by name now. The store offers everything you will need, such as shoes, balls, bags, towels, shirts, gloves, tapes, drilling, cleaning, etc. If there is something that they don't have in the store, they can order it and have it in quickly (usually by the next day).

Our largest purchase was a beautiful poker table almost 2 years ago and it is really a show-stopper when we have guests over. We purchased two gorgeous Tiffany game lamps; one for over the billiard table and one for the poker table. Both are stunning and beautiful. Florida Game Rooms re-felted our pool table earlier this week and it looks amazing! But now, it makes total sense that it would be found in shop dedicated to surfing and other similar sports like skateboarding. This store reminded me a lot of Pac Sun but with the actual boards for sale as well--including wet suits! The clothing was cute and very ocean-esque. Boardshorts (about $30), bikinis, bathing suit cover-ups, sunglasses, flip flops, etc. were all present and well displayed. Most items bared the Rip Curl brand name but some were other well known lines like Rainbow sandals. Divided in half, one side of the store was dedicated to men and the other women with a few areas that both sexes would enjoy such as the wall of backpacks. And for $19.50, girls could purchase a sexy purple t-shirt that says, "Rip Curl Orlando," to mark your journey here. It's a nice store if you are a beach bum.
