Interesting enough, Frank's is THE ONLY retail store that I know of who does not offer postage paid for return items. Guess they don't want customers to return items that do not work for them. Have been a customer of Franks for about 10 years. However My last purchase put the team at Franks to the test and they delivered! I had ordered a suit for my wedding at another store (BIG MISTAKE) !! When I went to pickup the suit for the other store the pants were slim fit and didn't fit well at all. Walked out without my suit and the following morning went to Franks. I was greeted by Bill and explained my dilemma. Bill not only had a suit that fit properly but was able to have it tailored on such short notice and have it done by the end of the day. Anton their tailor was great. AMAZING SERVICE!!! My wedding was the very next day. Not only did the suit look amazing, I felt great. Franks slogan should be "your going to love the way you look". Thank you to the whole team at Franks. I've been shopping here for years at the Ocean NJ store, mostly for suits. When they have a sale it is as big of a bargain as you can find when looking for a good suit. The salesmen help me find the right fit and give me great individual attention and have never been pushy. The alterations are done in house and are very reasonable and professional. I've been to Mens Wearhouse when they have a "sale" and their sale products are definitely bait and switch material. They have high end suits and more modestly priced. The sales reps are very professional and know how to advise on a good fit. read more

My favorite men's clothing store for over 30 years. Good selection of name brands. If you catch a sale it is best to stock up while you can. The store personnel are happy to help you or leave you to shop for yourself. But it's nice to know they actually know the sizing and quality of the merchandise they carry. read more

I was in this store on Sept. 10th. I was in NJ for medical purposes and had seen this store online, as it was near our hotel. Missing their late hours the day before, we finally made it in during their last hour of the day. First of all, they have a huge selection and large showroom. It can be a bit overwhelming, if you're unfamiliar with it and wish to look around. I had a few items in mind and was greeted fairly promptly after entering the store. A lady clerk approached me to see how she could help. I told her what I was interested in and she led me over to that part of the store. I had looked online ahead of time and knew what I wished to try on. She helped me for a short while. The first coat or two I tried on, fit best, but though they were the same brand and size, one was a bit smaller than the other. I told her I needed to try everything on, as a good friend in the fashion industry told us that when clothing is mass manufactured, sizing can vary on the same garment/style/size depending on where it is cut on the bolt of the cloth. End cuts usually are smaller, due to how the material is cut/shaped at the end. I'm sure this is done to maximize their materials and profits. The clerk said, that she had been told that, but she didn't believe it. Really? Isn't the customer always right (even if they're not)?! She began to tell me another brand was cut more generously, which I wished to try anyway, so I did. Wrong. That brand in the same size was quite a bit smaller.... She was losing credibility , but I still wanted assistance. However, she walked away, to leave us on our own, which really ticked me off more than anything. She knew I was looking for sale items, I'd seen online and seemed as she really wasn't interested in helping me with that. Poor customer approach, for sure. I'm always willing to try suggestions, once I get help and they see what cuts and styles would be good for me. Anyway, I chose the coat, that I had originally been looking for and then went on to look for shirts. I was trying to find the ones I'd seen online, that were greatly reduced. I saw one, but it didn't seem to appeal to me in person. Once I began looking at all of the shirts, a male clerk (manager, owner?) came over to see if he could help, but really wasn't doing so. Basically, it was lip service, which I can't stand. I picked out one shirt, tried it on and went to the counter to pay for both garments. I had a printed coupon, that the store offered online, but since my total wasn't over $100 in regular priced merchandise, yet still over $100, they would not honor it....So, they said I could purchase another shirt to get the discount, which I did. However, they had turned off most of the lights near the dressing rooms, but did turn them back on for a moment (how nice)! Had they helped me through the process, I could have been out of of there in half the time, rather than feel like a second class citizen. I guess they figured I wouldn't be a regular customer, so they really didn't care. However, they do have an online store, so I could be one. However, I would think any returns could be difficult, due to the way I was treated in the store, I don't think I'll bother. read more

They have a very good selection of Polo Ralph Lauren polos and other designer wares, in the right sizes, and at good prices. They called when they noticed I ordered two different sizes of items, and the attention to the customer is amazing. I'd love to be able to actually shop here in person someday. read more

I used to go there fairly regularly as a 3X. Salesmen were always friendly and helpful. But I began experiencing "quality" issues. It seems like they sell manufacturer seconds. I don't expect to pay premium dollar for seconds. I purchased a suede jacket ($190) where after a month the elastic inside the waist band rolled (no longer flat) and bulged. And I bought some Cutter and Buck dress shirts ($60?+ each), and the stripe pattern at the seams were wavy... instead of parallel striping the stripes "collided" at the breast pocket. Also, I wear a 30 inch long slack. ...never needing adjusting there. I bought 4 pairs of 30" long slacks (On Sale), brought them home. Each pair was 2" too long. 2" !!! Clearly mismarked. Brought them back. They wouldn't exchange them or give a refund, and charged me $7/pair to hem. That was 2 years ago, and the last time I was there. I shop at JC Penny Big and Tall now, and save big. read more
