Interwoven is by far the best boutique in Asbury Park! They carry many great brands including Farm Rio & Ganni. The girls in the shop are incredibly helpful, stylish and fun. I don't live close by so when I can't visit the shop I order online and through Instagram (@interwovenshop). I took shelter in this cute little boutique after a terribly hot, muggy walk from Ocean Grove. The folks here were immediately eager to help and I ended up taking home a fragrance that I had tested in the shop. However, once I got back to OG, I found that it had no scent - just the alcohol base. I scurried back to Interwoven before closing and when I told them, they immediately agreed and helped me to find a similar fragrance (it seemed the whole batch had gone wonky). As my new pick was less expensive than the first, they tried to refund me but accidentally messed it up in the system by refunding the amount as store credit. Oops! It happens. They needed to look further into it, so owner Bianca took my info and promised to be in touch. NOW, to the point: I am very impressed with the speed and professionalism that everyone at Interwoven displayed in helping me out. I feel like I cause a big to-do but everything was sorted within a few days and Bianca left me a voicemail about her progress, which I didn't expect. So I can't buy anything without advice. I saw a post on IG and saw this cool set up for a facial at home with a rock. I was like this is my jam but couldn't decide on anything. Writing this review on behalf of my mom. She went to exchange a pair of sunglasses, just outside of the exchange period of 15 days-understandable that the associate wouldn't return them. But when my mom states that the sunglasses pinch the side of her head, the associate helping her goes "I didn't pick them for you." Where do you get off catching that sort of attitude? As my mom leaves, she says "I won't shop here anymore," to which this woman goes "then don't." I don't care if you're a small business, I work in retail and deal with (way more) difficult situations all the time and keep my cool; keep your rude comments to yourself. read more

The store itself is really cute and filled with wonderful items. I wish my experience reflected the nice quality of the store itself. A kind woman working there promptly asked if I'd like to put anything in the dressing room to try on while I continued to shop. Sure! About 5 minutes later I made my way to the single room dressing area. A second woman working had just gone on in to try on items and take selfies which I had observed she'd been doing for the past 15 minutes. My issue is that while the first woman went into a back room, I was left alone waiting to try on my items while the second woman working posted to their Instagram story. I waited a few minutes and just left. I decided to checkout their Insta to see what the heck she was doing in there and she was TRYING ON THE ITEMS I HAD PUT BACK THERE TO TRY ON MYSELF... huh??? I understand social media is important to small businesses but an actual customer presently shopping in the store should take some sort of priority over tending to an Instagram story, right? I've come to realize the woman in the dressing room taking photos in garments while a customer (myself) waits to try on these said garments is the owner. Went into this store with my boyfriend. Two associates were talking at the desk. Didn't say hello. After spending five minutes looking around still no hello. After commenting that I wouldn't be purchasing due to rude associates one woman followed us out yelling after me telling her I wouldn't be buying anything because no one acknowledged us. One of the only places I've found that carries Imperial Barber Products. It's a pretty easy-to-find shop right at the beginning of the "downtown" cookman Ave area. The small store really makes good use of its floor space. Presentation wise, the store is great. The vibe is kind of like a unisex premium goods boutique that you'd find in NYC in some fashion-y neighborhood without paying those NYC prices. Definitely am gonna go back to 1) pick up more Imperial pomade and 2) browse the men's clothing selections. read more

From the moment you walk in, you're surrounded by so many creative displays, you'll want to take your time browsing through all parts and corners of the store...it's like a shopper's playground! Everytime I am in Asbury Park, a visit to this store is a must and I never leave empty-handed. I even did some Christmas shopping here last year and was able to find gifts for a range of people, from cute earrings for my younger cousin to shaving items for my husband to cool shirts for my father and nail polish and jewelry for my mother...this little gem has it all! Was just there on Saturday, 3/5. The store gets better with each visit! It's great to visit with the owners, Tony and Bianca and we love to bring our dog with us. They are SUPER dog-friendly. I'm sad to see the negative review about interwoven. It's a lovely store with great products, wonderful service and a truly lovely staff. Ive known many who have shopped there and all share this feeling. I'm a huge supporter of small businesses in our local area having been here for over 11 years and watched the area grow. I can't speak about the facts of the negative review as I don't know them but I write this to hopefully offset it and ask that you ignore my review and the negative review and see for yourself. I don't think you will be unhappy but let's do all we can to help small businesses grow as the last thing we want here are chain stores. read more

What a bummer to write this. Came across this shop while visiting the beach for a few days. It has such an amazing collection of unique clothing and accessories. Unfortunately I bought a bracelet that broke the next day and they exchanged it. A week later I was back home and it broke again. I called the store requesting a refund because I was no longer at the beach and live 2 hours away. "You can mail it back and we can only give you store credit". Seeing as I live hours away and realistically not going to drive all the way back to use a store credit I asked if I could just get a refund for this item that broke twice. The manager was incredibly inflexible and adamant no exceptions could be made. I guess I'm most frustrated bc my husband and I spent over 500 in the store. Poor business to be so inflexible and "powerless" as a manager. For god sakes for a $40 bracelet just offer a refund vs a solution that is not practical or realistic for your customer. I promise it would have yielded a better review and no one will die god forbid you make an exception to your policy. After 5 mins on the phone the manager says "oh well you can use the credit online". Ooo I dunno maybe offer this solution first?? rather than being fairly rude for 5 mins now this customer doesn't want to buy anything at your store. Just a thought read more

Moved in back in May and had two very bad experiences. First I purchased a sweatshirt as a gift for my Dad who lives two hours north of me. It didn't fit. When I went to return it they were out of the next smaller size and would not refund my money only gave me store credit. Most recently I went in and specifically asked for a pair of walking shorts. They only have one changing room and it was extremely busy with two women trying on dresses. I took the shorts home tried them on and didn't like the fit or the size of the pockets. Took them back literally 10 hours later with my electronic store receipt and all tags intact and was told they were non-returnable because the owner considers them swimwear. They were shorts made out of heavy cotton material with no liner. I specifically asked for walking shorts when I purchased them. Since moving to Asbury park in May I have spent hundreds of dollars in the store. Very very disappointed. The owner is not at all concerned with customer satisfaction. Once she has your money she will come up with just about any excuse imaginable to not refund to you read more
