    Crab pasta
    Marie C.

This ristorante offering a selection of pastas and pizzas at an affordable price. It was my first meal so therefore I waited with anticipation. My goodness I ordered a cocktail jumbo size and crab pasta. Thankfully I was able to finish eating lunch. The decor of the restaurant was impeccable. Beautifully decorated and I enjoyed immensely to eat in a relaxed atmosphere.

I mistakenly thought this place was related to fratelli paradiso. My foodie friend highly recommended fratelli paradiso. It was after i ate here and was very disappointed with the taste of the food did i learn from my friend the two restaurants are unrelated. The food here is very basic. The seafood scampi pasta had no flavors and tasted very bland. The seafood tasted like it was from a commercial frozen bag. The pizza was very average. The only thing i liked here was the ball of fresh burrata cheese on top of the pizza. The service here was also very bad and it was very hard to flag down waiters. The beers were pretty good though. I heard from my same foodie friend that this place used to be pretty good back in the days. But it got corporate, expanded, and then the food quality and control started going down.

To start we got the parma with rockmelon and boccocini $15 - Very night and light way to get the palate going. For mains i had the polenta with Gorgonzola - So creamy and the polenta nice and crispy on the outside. I also got to sample the pork belly - that was cooked quite well and had a nice crackling! Staff were a bit busy when we stopped by around 8.30pm on a friday night as we had to hail them down. For dessert we got to try the tarte banofee - nice flavour in the base and caramel sauce however the cream on top was a bit lacking. Overall, a great first time visit!

Beef cheeks with polenta, pancetta and mushrooms - paired with red wine for a perfect winter meal

If you're looking for a nice, cozy and authentic Italian experience in the CBD, then this is definitely the place to go! My boss was nice enough to take us all here for lunch and we feasted on some really amazing meals with wine. Between us we had a pizza, pasta, chicken schnitzel, beef cheeks and crispy pork nicely paired with red wine, and everything was delicious. The place has a bit of an underground location, which gives it a nice and intimate atmosphere. I had the beef cheeks with polenta, pancetta and mushrooms and couldn't have been happier with my choice - it was the perfect lunch for a cold day and the beef was really tender. We shared benoffi pies for dessert which everybody raved about. I'm looking forward to coming back here for lunch again and trying some of their other dishes that also looked fantastic.

Quite a large serving of pate. Could have done w more bread.

My dining guests enjoyed the food as did I. Food is good. Hands down. Except I do make a better banoffee pie. Except my standards are based more than food alone. Dare I say it? Yes!! The bathrooms were a total let down. Why? Bc you enter and see the basins and lovely orchids. Then to discover my chosen cubicle lock is broken therefore no lock. It was also a fail when I discovered no hook for handbag. The high tables are good in that there is room to stuff a handbag or a jacket. But truthfully, on the practical side, another fail. One cannot sit comfortably. But the idea of staying is not what they want I guess with this establishment jam packed all the time. Felt also that there may not be enough wait staff. Go for the food. But nothing else.

A hidden gem, hearty, quality traditional Italian food. We walked in around 7pm on a Wednesday night, (no reservation) and only waited at the bar for about 15 minutes. The Negroni I ordered was delicious, and once seated we were pleased with the large selection on the menu, in addition to great specials, and a theatrical pizza bar. Relaxed and comfortable but buzzing atmosphere. The service was quick, and the food met expectations. The mushroom cannelloni was very good, but the tiramisu for dessert was definitely the highlight.

In addition to its fresh produce business in Potts Point and Waterloo, Fratelli Fresh has recently opened its doors in the CBD. Stock your pantry with fresh fruit and veggies, dried fruits and nuts, meats, cheeses and dairy and Italian groceries you can't find in your regular supermarket. Special vinegars and oils, delicious authentic Italian sauces, and unique pastas are offered at competitive prices. This is my go-to supplier of three-cheese tortellini. The restaurant on the grounds serves up some fine Italian food and is open Monday-Friday from 12pm till 10pm.

A solid Italian option in the city! I have really like the two times I have spent in this restaurant. The service was quick, and the food met expectations. The pizzas are very good ! Dessert was nice, I had the banoffe pie. The staff is nice but the place is crowded at night.

The lasagna- so good, I was only able to eat half.

One of my fav Italian joints in the CBD. The Crispy Polenta is a must. Honestly I keep coming back for the food over the service. I'd probably leave only 4 stars but I feel the food is worth all 5.

This is a popular dinner spot in the cbd packed with city workers pretty much everyday of the week. Pricing is very reasonable and there is a great selection of wines on offer however the servings are not huge. You really can't go wrong with the pastas here and it's the perfect date spot. Bookings are recommended especially for groups.

I think we were here for only 45 minutes and it was amazing! I started out with the iced strawberry matcha and my husband had their iced mocha. The iced mocha was good but the iced strawberry matcha was flawless. The strawberries were so fresh and the matcha was just perfect itself. Great combo together! My husband had the free range eggs on toast and I had the eggs Benedict. His was delicious but the eggs Benedict was amazing. The crispy kale really sold me as it was delectable in each bite. Their seasonal specials is definitely worth the look over. I had the peanut butter shake and although it didn't look it, it tasted very much like peanut butter in liquid form. I also got to try the summer breeze watermelon salad. That was refreshing. It had a mix of greens, dressing, feta and a crisp prosciutto. I've never had prosciutto served fried; it was delicious. The whole piece married well, and I wish I knew the background of how it was created. I loved every bite! Although the place was crowded, it can still be intimate. We came in thinking it was just a coffee shop, but it's essentially a restaurant that also has a focus on coffee. They have a full bar and a window to the outside where you can order just coffee and tea to go. As for the interior it's dimly lit and sort of has romantic date night vibes. We essentially only ordered coffee and one person ordered a cake slice. The lychee cake was pretty good per my aunt. A couple people ordered the Coco Loco, which is basically an espresso martini on steroids with Nutella and something like a Ferrero Rocher. I ordered a latte and their Affogato. The latte was very smooth and BI is arguably one of the best I've ever had. Is the Affogato a cheat code because they use like a tiramisu ice cream? You could argue that case. You can also buy their blends of coffee beans, subject to availability. While the latte was very smooth, I can't say it was mind blowing but it was still pretty good.

I also reserve 4 and 5 star reviews for exceptional service with unforgettable dining experiences. The ambience is intimate but also noisy. I will say the coffee here and in Australia in general is some of the best coffee I've ever had. I ordered (2) espresso martinis, pancakes, and the sirloin steak breakfast with a side hashbrown. My pancakes were stone cold but I will say the aesthetics on it made it edible. The pistachio butter cream was to die for. My steak was ok ; for the price I simply just wanted more. I could be wrong but I doubt it was even 6oz. If you have this place on your radar be sure to make reservations. This goes for almost every restaurant in Sydney. My server was Cassie who was very personable and even gave us tips on what to watch out for dining in Sydney.
