I was pleasantly surprised to find them serving lunch and they had a great bar inside. It was lunch time, so I had to explore. I grabbed some chicken paprikas, noodles & cabbage, cabbage rolls, and beans. All this was $20! It was very economical and quite tasty as well. It reminded me of eating my grandmothers food. The building is a Cleveland historical landmark featuring three floors of original woodwork, furniture and design. For weddings you can choose to have your own caterer or use their in house catering (Pearl of the Orient). Super cool not-so-secret secret: Go to the third floor for the old ballroom and billiards, now used as an indoor archery range (archery classes are hosted at the Club twice a month). The atmosphere was lively yet laid back and not crowded on a Saturday afternoon. We were able to score a shuffleboard lane for two for an hour and drink service was quick once we got set up. We absolutely loved playing, especially while enjoying a cocktail. If we had more time and wanted to spend more it would have been easy to waste more hours on the court or playing skeeball, cornhole, or pool. I don't understand why fun places like this aren't available widely, that's how fun it was. Do watch out while you're playing, as it's easy to overshoot your target and slam your biscuits into someone's feet playing next door or sitting at a table. The gear was a well loved but it didn't stop us (as novices) from enjoying the game and doing fairly well at it! This will be a must-stop every time we're in the Port Clinton/Marblehead area!
