I just love this place. And wish I lived closer. Disclaimer: I don't know the first thing about good pinball. So my comments are simply from a basic appreciation of the game. Note: if you have trouble with sensory overload, this is probably not the place for you. Almost every inch of the place is covered with random decor; the ceiling even sports a kiddie pool & turtle sandbox. I could sit and look at the walls for quite a while. But the reason to go is for pinball. So many different types - Simpsons, Venom, Elvira, Iron Maiden, Game of Thrones & best of all - Bad Cats! I just live the variety. One day maybe I'll know what I'm doing. Note #2: This is not a place for food. There are plenty of good restaurants in the area. They were smart not to mix food with pinball. The vibes in this place are immaculate. It's very homey and fun, with lots of cool decorations. $6 for free play on 17 pinball machines and arcade games. It's not a huge place, and they cap occupancy at 50 people for pinball. You can bring in food from nearby restaurants. Superelectric Pinball Parlor is definitely a must do in Cleveland! Full of character and a fun filled atmosphere, this place boasts some really cool restored pinball machines for all ages! It's a fabulous alternate to the bar scene. A great date night place, hangout with friends, or even a solo trip. There is a bar with both alcoholic and nonalcoholic drinks available. Lots of craft beer available. Having a large variety of both options is really appreciated! We chose root beer from a local Akron company, which was great! There were some really cool pinball machines, ranging from Elvira to Halloween themed, really vintage & newer from the 50's to now. My favorite was the circus one, Cirqus Voltaire. It was fun to try a range of machines; I think we played about 3/4 of them in one visit! And apparently, the machines are all for sale, so they aren't always the same. I also really liked that some machines had a cup holder for your beverage too. They close at 11pm during the week, and at midnight Friday and Saturday. My partner and I spent the evening enjoying some friendly competition hopping from pinball game to pinball game. I've never been good at pinball but it's never stopped me from enjoying the sounds of bells and whistles going off while I score some points. The variety was nice and the atmosphere was top notch. Staff was super friendly and there was a solid selection of beverages to choose from. It was really interesting to learn that the each of the machines are for sale and that the selection of game play can vary from time to time. Looking for something to do besides just drink? superelectric has you covered. Best value for pinball in Cleveland: $6 gets all you can play (all day) of 15-20 pinball machines, no drink minimum. Machines are well maintained . a playable pac man arcade, a separate multi game-in-one arcade round out the gaming. 2 tvs showing B movies, a college radio station soundtrack, and kitsch from American Pop culture of the 80s and 90s round out the atmosphere. There's also a full bar (friendly service) with stool seating and 2-3 4 person booths (if you want to stop in solely for a drink, nothing stopping you). There are a variety of machines ranging from the 70s to ones released earlier this year, well maintained, i typically find 1 or 2 out of order when i come but there's still plenty to play. the owners' collection is larger than the place, so every few months, you'll see some different games as well. The only disadvantage is that once in a while (usually Wednesday nights and the last Sunday of the month) when the place is packed (leagues, tournaments), requiring you to wait for more than a few minutes for a game or it's completely closed due to private events; call to be sure. Very laid back cool place with about 15 pinball machines. For a Sunday it was surprisingly busy but I think that's because their pinball league was going on. We were still able to get in any game we want to and play. I feel they have a few too many pre-1965 machines. Yes they're only a quarter but I rather have some high-tech ones. The location is convenient to several bars and restaurants in the area, which makes for a nice bar hop if you're in the neighborhood. I was nervous to bring the niece and nephews here, as Brooklyn is not even 4 and doesn't sit still for 2 minutes. My nephews had a great time and loved all the cool pinball machines. Kept them occupied for a while. I took advantage of the Yelp deal (which, although a great deal, probably more than I needed to spend on tokens for pinball) and my dollars stretched pretty far. Most machines were only 2 tokens and at an exchange rate of quarter=token we played a lot. I love the nostalgia and simplicity of the parlor. The decorations were so fun and I loved how classic the games were. Just like when we were kids- I didn't need a menu or snack bar or even booze. (that was needed AFTER my day spent with the littles). When Brooklyn got bored, there was plenty to look at and keep her occupied. This place provided a fun evening and experience you really can't get anywhere else. The pinball parlor had a little over 10 different pinball machines. You buy tokens ( 1 token= 25 c) and then put them in to play. I was slightly surprised that some of the machines required 4 tokens to play. Also, once it started to get busy, most of the machines were taken. I would recommend coming during off hours to make sure you can choose and play many different machines. Retro Cleveland Indians lineups and other kitschy art lines the walls, and little dinosaur figurines are inconspicuously placed in hilarious places around the parlor. Okay so I found this place from going to the Black Market up the street conversing with the lady working there, she recommended it, and I dont regret it. It's located on the corner of Detroit Ave and W 65th street. Inside there's probably about 25 pinball machines, all in working order, except during a few games, the paddles stopped working on me, but considering their age I didnt care. It's a quarter-fifty cents per game. The inner decor is awesome, retro paintings of pinball themes on the walls, a velvet picture of Elvis, Betty Boop light up sign, etc. There's a soda bar with in house soda creations but I didnt get any, owner told me they're working on getting their liquor license soon which should be fun. The nostalgia is real here if you went to arcades as a kid, which are pretty much dying out like video rental places, so it gives me hope that places like this still exist. read more

Really fun place. I live 2 minutes from 16-Bit and that place is anything but entertaining on the weekends. Good luck getting to play a game when the place has 30 people for every arcade cabinet inside. Enter Superelectric Pinball Parlor. They don't serve alcohol here which makes it a much more enjoyable place to spend an evening. I like drinking and all but I really like the fact that if you are here, you're here for no other reason than to play pinball. The game selection has been different each time I've been which is cool and keeps things interesting. It's not expensive here at all which is awesome for me because I don't have a lot of money to spend on having fun right now. But I can get about an hours worth of fun and an Old City Soda for about $8. Guaranteed.) We celebrated my 40th birthday here. Rented the place out for my friends and their families. It was an amazingly good time for everyone. The adults AND kids -- every age -- having a blast. The staff is tremendous! Friendly, helpful, and you can tell they love what they are doing here. They helped get the food and drinks we brought with us all setup. Don't want to bring your own? They partner with certain local restaurants and can have food delivered, just ask for options. The staff know the games inside and out and they're happy to see them being enjoyed by others! These guys are genuine in their love for pinball. The value for the private rental was very good. As I took one of them for a whirl, I immediately appreciated how these things might actually need to belong to a museum. Although I usually feel like these types of places can only benefit from adding a bar, I actually think the family-friendly nature of Superelectric is a nice change of pace. Small but tasty beer selection, with several excellent ciders as well - and there's a slushie machine with the option to add booze! Didn't get a chance to try the food, but will hopefully be back. The music was terrific, and the decor is like a psychedelic basement, with some walls wood-paneled and some painted with colorful art. For me it was a blast from the past seeing some old familiar games. For the 12 year old boys I took it was an education on how things used to be before xbox and ipads. I cashed in $20 and got some tokens. It seemed to last us a while to go through the tokens. The machines average 2 per play, some of the newer ones take 3 tokens. They have a variety of pinball machines to play and if you like them you can buy them. The guys that own the place travel the country, buy, restore and sell the machines. so if you keep going back there are always new machines in the rotation. Kids and adults will love spending it time here. And from what I understand they may be getting a liquor license, which would make the place even better! LOL read more
