This is the only indoor range I know of that lets you shoot any gun on the line - including shotguns!! Whatever you got - bring it. Staff is friendly and helpful, the equipment is well maintained, and there are plenty of lanes - I've never had to wait for an open lane. All that's missing is a range like this closer to my house :) By far the best place to shoot in Baton Rouge!! read more

FRC is the sort of high quality shooting range that I'd like to see more of in Baton Rouge. Everything here is done right; the lighting is excellent, the RSO's run a tight ship, and the class I took over a year ago was excellent. The shop at FRC isn't quite as extensive as some of the other shops in the area, but it's run by good people that know their trade, and what I've seen in their cases and on their shelves is genuinely useful stuff. None of the usual fluff and gadgetry that parts fools from their money. FRC is a bit out of the way for me, so I don't stop here as often as I should ... but that's no reflection on their business. They're doing a great job and deserve to be successful. read more

One of the several indoor ranges in the Baton Rouge area. The staff is pretty nice. The range is very safe. A little strict on the rules and the floor is all concrete so it's super loud but nothing out of the norm for local indoor ranges. The great thing is that they let you use your NFA items while you're waiting for the Feds to decide to let you have your property. A little pricey and not a ton of lanes but the place is nice for sure. read more

This is a great place to shoot very nice and friendly... when ranges can be so intimidating and loud... So I had been here twice the first was a great experience, the second was sort-of rushed because they were pushing through a class.. I had paid my $$ and spent less than an hour able to shoot.. But they could of just denied me the chance to shoot which I would of been fine with because although they told me a class was coming through I did not know how soon or if it would be worth my time to go ahead and pay and shoot for a little before being asked to make room for the students... Again it's a nice clean range, they hold a lot of classes for new gun owners.. just be sure you have the time you want and need to shoot your weapon..! read more

Had an opportunity to stop by this place recently and check it out. I had been there many years ago back when it was diamond training, but this was the first time since it is under new ownership and has undergone unbelievable upgrades and remodeling. To say this range is "nice" is kind of an understatement. The range itself has about 10 lanes, and they are in the process of building a whole separate bay with about the same. However this place is massive. They have multiple classrooms some that can seat as many as 60 to 70 people, very nicely decorated, with full audio and visual support. To top that off, they had a huge simulations shoot house, complete with a blasting door and cameras. You can do 99% of all law-enforcement and self-defense oriented training in this place. They also have a full showroom of self-defense and shooting accessories, guns, work clothes, and they offer an entire line of training. This place really is amazing, and I'm looking forward to visiting again. read more

This is an awesome place. When you first arrive, if you have not shot there before, you watch a 5-10 min range safety video, sign some papers, give them your DL and they make you a shooter's card so you don't have to go thru that again. We recently made a trip to Baton Rouge so my e could attend a baby shower for our nephew. The guys decided to spend the day at the shooting range while the ladies were at the shower. As soon as we walked into FRC we were greeted by the owner and his staff. The owner offered to take us on a tour of the facility and personally showed us around. We had a group of seven guys with us and we were all impressed with what we saw. New range with electronic target controls, bright clean facilities, lounge area, meeting rooms, and soon to be open SIMS area. Staff was profession, friendly, helpful and provided a safe shooting enviroment. Needless to say we great experience at FRC and evev though we do not live in the Baton Rouge area we will return in the future. Thanks FRC! read more

My husband and I attended a CCL class here with Sheriff Eric B. I have attended other classes in the past at other ranges and I have to say this one was the most informative and gave you a real sense of the gravity of using your weapon in a self-defense situation. The knowledge that Eric shared will be things that I keep with me to insure that I am always displaying behavior that is aligned with being a responsible gun owner. The range itself is very clean and the ventilation system is so powerful that you could barely smell gun powder even with 8 people all firing at the same time. The range officers were all very professional and friendly and very knowledgeable. Some ranges can be intimidating but at FRC, I felt welcomed and as though safety was an ultimate priority! I will be returning to FRC to use their range despite the fact that there are other indoor ranges in Baton Rouge that are cheaper. I felt more welcome and at home at FRC. I'm no longer interested in doing business with FRC again. Me and my brother recently visited the facility to take advantage of the live fire range and I we were treated horrible and felt singled out. Every move we made we felt like we were followed in that facility like we were criminals. We are law abiding citizens and we were trying to enjoy a fellas day out. We both felt like we were being watched and singled out in the live range for anything. Every thing we were doing with our weapons were considered wrong. Besides that the worst thing about the whole experience is that we were questioned about the guns we had . Questions were example. Why we had those kind of weapons, those aren't good weapons. We had a couple of assault rifles to shot also and we felt like those people there were targeting us. It's like we not supposed to have those types of guns or something in that nature. We felt so uncomfortable that we didn't even stay in the range to shoot 50 rounds . We packed up and left didnt stay a hour. I ADVISE ANYONE WHO NEEDS TO KNOW ABOUT THESE PEOPLE TO DONT GO. Theres another range of seigan lane precision and those people are real nice . They treat you like an equal there and real friendly. Unless you want to feel like a criminal do not go to FRC. THATS WORST EXPERIENCE I EVER HAD. I'm a hard working, law abiding citizen that deserves the same treatment as anyone else. I'm not a criminal FRC. You should treat everyone equally especially if you dont know anything about that person. read more

Took my pre-teen son to shoot. First time ever. The people here were very nice. I was most impressed with their safety-first attitude. Even though it was the first time we ever went to a shooting rang, we had a blast, felt safe at all times, learned a lot and will return. read more

Took my daughter here for her 18th birthday for her first time to shoot. The cost was $20 and unlimited time. She had so much fun! The range was super clean and there was no strong odor from the guns due to the state of the art ventilation system. She watched a brief safety video and then had a individual instructor who helped her to learn with a professional which kept her feeling calm and safe. They have gun rentals so you can actually try a gun out before you purchase it. They also offer lots of different classes. The instructors and staff were very friendly and knowledgeable. read more

This is by far the nicest firing range I have ever been to. I was met at the door with prompt courteous service by a knowledgeable staff member. I had the opportunity to meet the owner who was very kind and offered give me a tour of the entire facility. If you've ever been to other local old dirty ranges you've noticed after a few rapidly fired shots the air gets smoky and you can taste the gun powder, this does NOT happen here. They've got a state of the art HVAC and filtration system that cleans the air clean and pleasant to breathe. They will soon be opening a full 2 story staging and training area for force on force training, which to my knowledge is not offered any where else in the area to civilians. This is a great locally owned operation and my new go to practice facility. Great job guys!!!! read more
