If you have never visited this business, save yourself the trouble and unprofessionalism. Don't. A…read moremonth or so ago, I had a good friend of mine visit the shop to get a few of his pistol parts cerakoted and an optic mounted onto his slide. He had placed the cerakote order a week before getting the optic mounted. As the story goes, the typical owner was out of town when he went to get his optic mounted. The fill in guy, when mounting the optic, accidentally scratched the new finish on the top of the optic using a T handle screwdriver. My buddy had realized the accident after leaving that day. So, he called the shop back to see how it could be handled, hoping to get a minimum deal on the cerakote/ an apology. He did not. The fill in said to call back once the owner got into town and when he did he was met with a swift rude attitude. Instead of "hey man, I heard what had happened, I'm sorry, let's figure out how to make this right" he was met with " yeah, what do you want? A new optic?". The shop owner did order him a new optic and when it came in he was still acting like a total prick instead of treating my buddy like a human being. In the end, shop owner was out $400 and refused to cerakote the original parts that was agreed upon. I just feel as if the situation could have been handled differently considering it was an accident. Hostile attitude was unnecessary.

Had a rough start, but, in the end they came through like champs!!!…read more Went in for a middle pew. When I say middle I mean I have a sub-compact in .380 and a large frame 9mm. I wanted a compact 9mm for CCP as I just felt the PPK/S in .380 I have was insufficient for everyday CCP. Salesman did take me too literally when showing me alternates by only showing me what I specifically asked for! He did his job. However what I wanted and what was available are 2 different things and it took some time but we finally moved on to some other pieces that were just a tad different than my original request. Got home and realized that the store was offering a "package" (free range case and 2 extra mags). I called them up, and without thinking twice they offered me the same deal that was on the website. Salesman "Seth" was apologetic however I told him there was no wrongdoing by either side. I just noticed a deal after the sale and they honored it. I never shop big box for my pews because of the fact most do not honor the Brady Bill. Locally owned shops will forever get my business!! This was my first transaction with Jim's and I can promise it won't be the last!! Thank You to Seth and the rest of the team down at Jim's. The selection and prices are unbeatable. I challenge you to "not" be able to find what you're looking for at a reasonable price!!
