The St. Pete-Treasure Island community is so VERY fortunate. U.S. Rising Star Champions Sergey Barsukov and his wife, Maria Signjova, just became the new owners of this studio! While it had a checkered past - these two young professionals have already made tremendous improvements to bring this studio to a level of being among the best in the state. They immigrated to the U.S. Sergey worked hard to achieve his U.S. citizenship last year and Maria is following close behind. Absolutely love this dance studio! My fiance and I are not ones you would expect to take dance class. With the upcoming wedding we really wanted to make our first dance special and came for an introductory lesson. We had SO MUCH FUN! Our instructor Alex is so patient, helpful, and caring. Even on our first class he made us feel confident that we were not the 4 left feet moving around the floor that we were prepared to be. Every time we walk into the studio Heidi welcomes us with a smile and remembers our names. We purchased a wedding package which even includes more than our one on one sessions. With our wedding now a month away, we are confident our dance will truly "WOW" or friends and family. Since talking these classes it also forces us to take a break from all the wedding stresses. We took classes at Fred Astaire to prepare for our first dance at our wedding, and we had a wonderful experience! Maria, our instructor, was not only an excellent choreographer and teacher, but also extremely friendly. Maria choreographed a dance for our first dance song that was simple enough for us to easily learn in a few weeks, but also interesting enough that we're sure our guests are going to be very impressed by it. We took a total of 6 classes to learn the dance, practiced a lot on our own at home, and now feel very confident that we're going to be able to perform it well at our wedding. I cannot sing the praises of this studio and Maria enough! My fiance and I are not dancers, but, with five classes, we finally feel confident enough to dance at our wedding this Saturday. Maria met with us, choreographed a dance sequence for our special song, and carefully walked us through the steps as well as helped smooth out our awkward rough edges! Maria is an absolute joy. BY FAR my favorite dance studio to practice and learn how to dance all different styles of ballroom! Not only do they have amazing staff who bring positive energy into the studio, but the students enjoy learning and coming in for group and personal classes! Ballroom studio under new owners so I went to the group class to try it out. Really enjoyed the instructors and their knowledge, Maria and Ekaterina No pressure from the instructors on taking lessons but i decided to come back and take some lessons with Maria Barsukov, one of the owners. Enjoying the instruction very much. Love to play golf, but ballroom dancing is so much fun and keeps you active and mentally sharp. The studio has a welcoming atmosphere for any level of ability. So I came to this dance studio with basically no dance experience and have not regretted my decision. The teachers always had a positive attitude and did a great job showing me how to get better, to the point that now a few months later I can go to Latin clubs and have a good time. Awesome place. I started learning salsa with my hubby about 6 months ago and we are already dancing at Ceviche downtown! It didn't take long to get us to a level where we are comfortable. The best place to learn to dance in St.Petersburg-period! Our instructor was on DWTS of Moscow- and he wasn't even intimidating. He was super fun and friendly, actually!
