My experience dealing with Fred Loya Insurance has been extremely disappointing. In my situation, their policyholder carried what I believe was inadequate coverage, and when it came time to address the damages--especially loss of wages--they made the process far more difficult than it needed to be. Instead of working toward a fair and reasonable resolution, the company pushed back at every step. Communication was slow and unhelpful, and it felt like they were more interested in minimizing their responsibility than addressing the real impact the accident had on my life. I expected an insurance company to handle claims professionally and in good faith, but that has not been my experience with Fred Loya. Had a very simple rear en collision worth less than 5k and they have passed us around like a thanksgiving dinner with no decision makers answering or returning calls. One of their clients hit my car, completely destroying my door and forcing me to replace it entirely. The man who hit me was extremely rude and even admitted this was the SECOND time it had happened in a MONTH. That said, the representative I spoke to on the phone was very polite, and I genuinely liked him. No repair shops in the area want to or are willing to work with this so-called "insurance" company because of how difficult they are to deal with. Their reputation is horrible and that makes sense. The customer service in the Thornton and Northglenn offices could be better. They are unprofessional and poorly trained office workers who need to learn how to handle customer requests. It took two days just to cancel a policy. You have to wait for a manager and the girls in the office are young and rude to the customers. ZERO STARS. Horrible and unethical company. On 12/14/24, a woman hit two parked cars (the second being my 2024 hybrid Toyota Rav4) in the lot at the school where I teach and was working the food drive. My car was hit so badly that it had to be towed. My car was brought to Markley Collision in Fort Collins, CO, and the following Monday (12/16/24) I called Markley at 8am to say that I am filing a claim to get the other party's insurance to cover the cost of my repairs. As soon as they heard the insurance was Young America, the worker said, "That's Fred Loya. They are so awful, we won't work with them. You'd need to file through YOUR insurance." I then called Fort Collins Collision. They said the same thing. They refuse to fix a car with that insurance. They said that that company is, and I quote, "a nightmare". They said that company will try to force them to use used and aftermarket parts, and that it's next to impossible to get paid. I then called Carstar in Fort Collins. The man there said the EXACT SAME THING and told me every repair shop feels this way. I called my insurance broker's office, and a person there called a shop he knows in Windsor, CO. Same thing. Ultimately, two of the shops said they WOULD "try if I REALLY wanted to", but they both said, "We want you to know that this will be a nightmare, and that you likely won't get your car back for MONTHS." I am a teacher and cannot do that, so being between a rock and a hard place, I filed the claim--and paid the deductible--with MY insurance, Travelers. As soon as I filed with Travelers, the original body shop (Markley Collision) started in right away and said Travelers is great to work with. read more

Bad business they say low rates but they are over by $100.00 on full coverage and their deductible is $2500.00 as where the rates and deductible are much better where I am going taking advantage of seniors expensive for only driving 1 or 2 times a month and under 150 mile per month. Fred Loya owes me $1077 and they have been avoiding my calls and emails for 6 months. I have filed a complaint with the Better Business Bureau and with DORA against their insurance license. My car was hit Monday Nov. 6th , I took it to the office in Melrose park Wednesday Nov. 8th to get the pictures taken. I was told an adjuster would contact me in 24 hours. NOT one adjuster has contacted me. I have left voicemails on the adjuster's phone as well as his supervisor Joseline Gracia and her manger Mario Garcia. NOT ONE PERSON HAS REACHED OUT TO ME! My car is going on 2 weeks of being completely messed up, I am also a social worker and it's in my literal job description to have a car. No accident to report, just to say that after reading all these reviews, I should have not used them to insure two vehicles of mine. So I insured two vehicles with them thinking it would be cheap, and I only needed them insured while I got them through emissions and sold the cars. It took me two weeks to sell the two cars. I called to cancel the policy and get refund for what every would be prorated since I only had them insured for a couple of weeks. They never answered the toll number I had to get on Google to get a working number for them. Julianna told me there wouldn't be a refund for the unused time and that I actually would have to pay a $50 fee for cancelling!! So this just seems like bad business to me. First you're not going to refund me, but even if you were going to, first you're going to charge me $50 to get my money back?!? What a rip-off!!! She was like you could just remove the card on file, and then you won't have to pay the $50 it would just cancel. I said yeah, but I don't get refunded for the time I wasn't insured either. Basically forcing me to let them keep my money!!! I wish giving negative stars was allowed. Also, when I didn't like their refund policy I requested to speak to a manager. After Julianna stalled and told me that Perla wouldn't be available but that she would call me back. I had to call back the next day, and the lady on the phone sounded like the exact same person from the day before. If I could give 0 stars I would. The whole process to activate my insurance was extremely difficult. They make you jump through every hoop imaginable and their employees all have bad attitudes. While I was setting up my policy they refused to set up automatic payments. I cancelled my policy and I was informed that my debit was still going to be debited for the payment. There is nothing to do to stop it. Do yourself a favor and look somewhere else, this company is not worth it. I was in an accident with a person who has Fred Loya insurance on Jan 8,2023. Claim # 68-291135. I have been getting the run around for over 6 Months. at 1st they denied my claim, then they did take responsibility. I did not have any transportation for 2 months. They did not reimburse me in any way. They refused to get me a rental car. I have signed the paperwork 3 different times because the keep loosing it. I have tracking information proofing it arrived. I have talked to Alan the agent and left messages for Maria and Andrea his supervisor and Salvador his Manager. I have never heard anything back from higher management. I have left many messages and sent emails. I have been told 3 time the check is in the mail. I have not received it. They took my total car months ago. The wrecking yard has called several times trying to return my car. When I do talk to Alan it sounds like he is a broken record reading of a script. Never giving me actual information. read more
