We have been coming to this garden center, formerly a wholesaler for a few years since they started retail. We love the desert roses and plumerias selection and pricing but also the other flowers and vegetables as well as trees and shrubs are very reasonable. Today we bought a Persian lime with a sweet orange tree and a flat of impatiens plus a few small cactus ($1.25 ea) and some especially beautiful crazy petunias in hanging pots. The size, quality and prices made the drive out here worth it. It was a fun trip and they had their "Spring Fling" with loads of folks but still plenty of selections. Come check it out! I went to the annual Spring Fling event this past weekend. This place is amazing, and I wasn't the only one who thought so. There were literally hundreds of people there during the morning hours, even before opening! Amazing mix of bedding plants, shrubs, roses, cactus, and so much more. Acres of plants available at reasonable prices. They also had knowledgeable staff with bold colored shirts on to help with plant questions and loading plants and soils. If you make the drive out to Simonton (a short drive from Katy), you'll be glad you did. read more

Hands down my favorite plant nursery for both selection and price point. Been twice so far and spent enough to make it worth driving from Austin both times. Hard not to when they have such great plants, and the family and people running it are equally awesome! Hi fellow plant lovers! I have been to this location twice. The first time a Hispanic lady assisted us. She answered our questions, brought us a cart, explained plant pricing, etc. I truly felt she went above and beyond. This second time it was completely different. We had a pricing question on some of the cacti they have there. The cactus I had selected was under a sign that said 2 inch = $6.99 or 2 inch = $12.99. I was not clear on the price, so I asked my husband to clarify with front desk. The lady there told him it was $12.99 but did not explain further and did not walk with him to where the other cacti were to explain which were $6.99 or the price difference. He ended up putting that cactus back and grabbed a smaller one. When we were finished shopping, we went back to the front desk to confirm $6.99 price and pay. When my husband asked to confirm price, she said $9.99. My husband then said the signage says $6.99 or $12.99. Her answer was that people sometimes put things in the wrong place. She then proceeded to take out her inventory/pricing book where it clearly shows the $6.99 price had been scratched out and replaced with handwritten price of $9.99. To me, it is telling that she had accused someone (other employees or customers) of putting things in the wrong spot when the pricing book reflected that the price was most likely changed recently. She then called for a young man and said, "You need to go check your signs because they are saying this says $6.99." In my opinion, her tone towards the young man was harsh and accusatory towards us. I then told her that it was not just one sign that reflected the $6.99 price, it was a couple. The only thing she said to that was "Yeah." We did not get a thank you, I hope you enjoy your new plants, I apologize for the mix-up, etc. I am not too sure if she was having a bad day, did not want to be there, or does not like her role there in general. Either way the interaction was awkward and we felt like an inconvenience for asking for basic/minimal customer service. I want make clear that the price was not the issue, but the lack of customer service and the lady's demeanor was. I initially went to this place because I collect cacti (70 and counting!), and they advertise as specializing in cacti and succulents. I was hoping to make this one of my go-to spots for cacti. During this second visit, I was going to inquire about a larger cactus they had towards the back, but the interaction I mentioned above was off-putting . If you read this far, you have probably come to the conclusion that I won't be returning here. I do hope things get better on the customer service end though. read more
