That said, you have to be really careful with what you buy here because it seems like they only get the most desirable beer when it's way past its "best by" date. The people who work there at the counter are low life scum bags. I was there yesterday & I got ripped off. I paid the guy in cash & he then didn't give me my change. Read the other one star reviews & you'll see a definite pattern here. He overcharged me & tried to lie about how much I gave him. I now know he was deliberately looking for someone who wasn't paying attention. He was such an asshole that he threatened to call the police when I didn't even do anything but ask for my change back. It wasn't worth the hassle for a few dollars. I cussed them out & called them thieves & liars & that I'm never going to shop there again. I've been shopping there for years, and this is how I get treated? Unbelievable! This pandemic is obviously bringing out the worst in people. They must be struggling to sink that low, lol. Please watch exactly what you're giving to store clerks & always get the receipt, watch them ring stuff up & don't be looking at your phone, on a call, or distracted in any other way. Be careful with this place people. I went in last weekend for a couple cases of beer and some chips, it came to a total of 70.00 today i checked my bank account transactions and they charged me an extra transaction of 117.00. Plus another that says i requested cash back 0.50 just to charge me an extra 5.00, when i didnt even get cash back that day! Like why would someone request 50 cents cash back and pay a 5.00 dollar fee for the service. I was helped by the indian man on the register. Avoid this place people or if you definitely have to buy something here pay with cash! Also check your bag of chips before living the store because my friend noticed a few of them where open and they just tape them close. This is only good for liquor store type business ,I'm not sure why they say they offer check cashing. My brother and I both tried to get our checks cashed and one guy says his boss will be there in ten mins (which turned out to be Freddie himself). After spending atleast $50 in the store waiting for the boss and then the boss shoes up after 15 or so. Another customer comes in and yells Freddie and the man in front of me waves back indicated this is the owners of the place. Located a block away from my job, Freddie's is a convenient place for me to drop by to get some snacks during my break. Been coming here for a while now and the people that work here are pretty cool. I haven't actually purchased liquor from this liquor store lol. It's like a more expensive 7/11 but my choices are pretty slim so Freddie's has become my go-to. Please disregard the previous review; obviously the people that could actually help were too busy HELPING other customers and the reason the lady was behind the counter was because she didn't know much about the products/inventory. I have been to Freddie's on various occasions and the guys there have always been very helpful. When I got married last year we went and talked the guys because we needed 200 mini bottles of jager. We had been to various other liquor stores, none of which would give us a deal. These bottles normally sell for about $3 each, but we we knew we could get a deal at Freddie's. He special ordered 200 bottles for us for $1.50 each! We placed the order on Monday and had them by Thursday. Since then we've been to Freddie's a number of times, and we can always find what we're looking for. Great store with a great selection. Great selections of wine and beer. Yet a tad over priced. However these guys have all the basics and more that you are trying to hunt down. Occasionally they will have seasonal reps from different brewing companies who give you great discounts on their products at Freddie's. No real reason to come here other than convenience of being close and opened to 11 P.M Other than that, I have no other expectations from a Liquor Store. The owners are all family members working there. All of them are decent gentlemen. They even do check cashing and a fair %2. Cigarettes are average pricing and so is their extra nick nack foods. The best check cashing place-as long as the check is legit-you can cash it at Freddie's till midnight on Saturday's which is very convienent. The owners have been here for over 20 years and have always been very courteous to my family, my friends and me. As long as a customer is not being rude everyone at Freddie's is helpful and friendly. Although I dont go to very many liquor stores. This one is well worth the visit. The items I were looking for was easy to find. And they had the hard to find Goldschlagger Plus that I am always looking for and have an extremely difficult time finding. The beer selection is good with a lot of brew that I have.never seen before.. To bad they dont give sample tastings. These people are such crooks that one of the previous issues which occurred was with their Western Union which they run through there. I guess I should have known better myself but I trust easy I guess and did not take them to be crooks at the time but anyways one time I had made a mistake in the spelling and when I came back to change it they told me that I lose the $15 fee I paid them and had to pay it once again. Anyways months later I had made this mistake in the spelling again but this time I was on the phone with an Western Union agent when I had caught the spelling error and they told me that they would go ahead and change it for me. I thanked the agent so much and said I appreciate it so much and thank you for saving me having to drive back and pay the fee again, of course that was when I was told that under any circumstances do you never have to pay the fee again and are able to change any information at anytime at any Western Union agent (agent being a place such had freedies liquor) or on the phone with any agent. When I found this out however it was much later after already catching these crooks in the act the one time I spoke of earlier so I had obviously stopped going there for quite some time at that point but I was not surprised they lied about that as well. Soon after all this had happened I made a mission in telling all my friends as well as everyone else not to ever go there. As for one of my girlfriends who went there for a long time as well I had to convince her just how dishonest these people are so at my expense which was only $5 and I did not mind one bit just because I truly cant stand people like this. Anyways I had given her $30 total but I made sure i had given her four $5 bills as well as ten $1 bills and I told her to leave it all sloppy in your purse to look very unorganized when you are at the register gathering the money to pay. I then had told her to buy whatever drink she desired to have for the night but to make sure it was something which cost exactly $19.99 so that way after tax it would come to a few dollars and change over $20 and once he announces the total amount make sure he sees how unorganized the $5 and $1 bills look in your purse. As sloppy as it will seem you and I both know there is $30 total in bills in there. The first thing I want you to do is make sure you dig into the bottom of your purse and first count out whatever dimes, nickels, pennies it takes to round to total down to whatever the dollar value is. Make sure you say the amount and hand it to him first before the bills and the what I want you to do get all the bills together as if you are quickly counting it and leave out a couple of the dollars from your purse to make sure the total you are then giving him is exactly $5 more than total cost, no more or no less and when you hand it to him be sure to announce the total he gave you and and lastly apologize for giving him so many ones. Last of as he starts counting it put focus on gathering your purse and bag together and not so much him. Of course ladies and gents just as I assured her when she got back in the car he did not mention it and just added that extra $5 to his register. Now the reason I told her make sure it was $5 extra no more no less was because if it was $6 or $4 it would be weird asking if you gave someone $4 or $6 extra lol but a $5 bill that makes much more sense and of course that was the next thing I told her to do a few mins after she had came outside. Of course we all know he said no but this was just to told it off. I SPENT SO MUCH TIME WRITING ALL THIS AND IT WAS WELL WORTH IT EVEN IF IT GETS JUST ONE OF YOU TO NEVER GO THERE AGAIN AND GIVE BUSINESS AND EVEN WORSE BECOME ONE WHO GETS ROBBED BY THESE PEOPLE BECAUSE OF AN HONEST MISTAKE OR JUST BEING A TRUSTING PERSON. read more

I love this place. They have all kinda liquor you are looking for. I love Duvel. It's the best beer out there and it's from BELGIUM!!!YEAH BABY!! The good thing is that it's nice and chilled so when I come home. I just have to open and drink. I don't need to refrigerate more to make it cold. Bottom line is that they don't turn their fridge temp down to save themselves some money. They are honest and very friendly people. DO NOT BUY ANYTHING FROM THESE CROOKS. Yesterday 01/12/2016 around 7:30 PM I went in to purchase Powerball tickets. I handed the cashier the slips I had filled out. After he was finished scanning them, him and the owner whose name according to the county records is Baljinder Kahlon tell me the total is $600. I was expecting it to be $500. The line was long behind me so I didn't question them and paid the $600. Soon after, I realized they charged me $100 for one slip (which was supposed to be only $10. 5 draws times $2 is $10. They charged me $100 for 10 draws. I told them my slip DID NOT have 10 draws marked on there and that they needed to return my $100. They said they can't do that. I said it's ILLEGAL to charge me for the ten draws. I only wanted to play that once, not 10 times. I told them to run the slip through the machine one more time, because it should only ring up as $10. They continued to say no, you'll have to pay another $100 if it rings up as $100. I said run the slip. They ran it. It rang up as $10, as I expected. Kahlon then proceeded to take the slips I had played to double check that I didn't actually mark 10 draws. I did not. She then said I can only get $90 back because I have to pay for the $10 slip that was rung up. I said fine. She handed me $90 and the slip. I walked out and realized she hadn't given me the actual ticket I paid the $10 for. I went back and told her and with a huge smirk on her face she said "you must be confused." No, you are confused lady. I've only been to this store on two occasions and never plan on going back. If anyone else has had this business try to scam them, please call the lottery officials at 800-568-8379. I heard her mention to the employee that earlier in the day someone else had complained to them also. They definitely are up to no good. Also, they kept the $100 and the $10 ticket. I reported this.
