A crown had been advised by the first doctor and I was open to this, but I also had some underlining issues and concerns with the tooth, that resulted in the second opinion. Just in my initial contact with the office of Dr. Bidgoli, I could easily see the strong professionalism of the practice. It was even more so during my first appointment, especially with regard to the steps taken to ensure BOTH the safety of patient and staff during Covid. As for my time with Dr. Bidgoli, "impressive" is the best descriptor that I can offer. Her consultation was clearly rooted in the best interest of me, the patient. She patiently explained everything clearly and with logic and facts. I also heard input on my situation that I had not heard prior. I was so impressed. In short, I cannot recommend Dr. Bidgoli enough. An exceptional Doctor.

He introduced my husband to Invisalign orthodontia to correct his really crooked teeth, and at the age of 58, my husband finally had a beautiful smile. Dr. Silveus repaired a front central incisor I had fractured as a child, which had broken off repeatedly. He took extra care, working with the dental lab, to sculpt the cosmetic veneer and match the color. This is one of the most difficult repairs to make in dentistry, and it matters because it is so visible. I am really pleased with the result. He assessed that the tooth was salvageable, and cleaning the canals and placing a calcium hydroxide fill, succeeded in saving the tooth. As a former dentist myself, I can recognize technical excellence, and Dr. Johnson is clearly one of the top clinicians in the field of endodontics. For any root canal concerns, he would be my first choice. In addition to his superb technical skill, Dr. Johnson is also an exceptionally personable, considerate dentist. More importantly, my procedures were painless and thorough (but not quick). It was a lot of work to clean the now infected root my regular dentist missed twice. I would definitely return to him again and wholeheartedly recommend him. Haven't had a problem with that molar since Dr. Johnson treated it, and have been pain-free for 3+ years now. Since moved to New York, but I would drive back to DC if the need arose in a heartbeat. PS I don't understand the review left by Mr. S. I have had some poor experiences with dental work in the past, so I was very nervous to go to a new dental office. I had a great experience during my intake appointment with Dr. Ava and dental assistant Marjan. Marjan was really reassuring when I told her I felt anxious about my exam. Dr. Ava did a thorough exam and checked in to see how I was feeling throughout it. After my exam, dental hygienist Christina did a fantastic job with my cleaning and got rid of some small staining I had on my bottom front teeth. I had two visits for my cavity fillings and received care from dental assistant Khalida, who was incredibly kind and comforting and Dr. Ava! Their reassurance and communication made me feel so calm during the filling process, which I was super nervous about. I felt absolutely zero pain during the procedure and left feeling genuinely excited to go back to get my remaining two cavities filled! My last appointment was with Dr. Ava and Marjan to get two fillings and a Curodont repair done for another cavity they found in my previous appointment. I felt very comfortable and like I could take a break at any point, if needed. They did a super thorough job with all cavities but especially the one cavity that has been a challenge for years and helped prevent me from needing a crown. Sully at the front desk was extremely pleasant to chat with after my fillings were done during the payment process.
