My husband took my mini van in yesterday to have it cleaned after a long, sandy, snack filled trip to the beach with my three kids. My car was a disaster after our trip, all the nooks and crannies of the car were lined with sand, crumbs and dirt. After the staff was done with my car it looked brand new, inside and out! Updated review: I usually have great experiences here, but the last time I went, I was overcharged for a basic wash and interior clean. No big deal, until I overheard the guys detailing my car talking badly about me because I had two paper bags in my car that they had to move to vacuum. Super rude. read more

This was the WORST car wash experience I have ever had. I just wanted to run my car through the automated car wash. I didn't need three men yelling at me, telling me how to enter the conveyer belt. I've been driving for more years than I care to think about-- I know what "neutral" means. It was a very condescending experience. Also, I asked 3 times for the $12 basic wash. The guy flat out ignored me and continued to try to push the $19 "best wash we have". I didn't want that! Finally, I shouted that I'd take the $15 wash so he would stop barking at me. Sometimes, people just want simple service. I'm not going to single out individuals because no one should lose their job over this. They just need better training on customer service. read more

The people at Shell Carwash are awesome! I had a Local Flavor coupon which I purchased back in March and because of my schedule which is a mix of laziness and kids and two high energy dogs that I'm constantly walking, I didn't have time to redeem my coupon until today (6 months later). I was having issues pulling up my certificate to redeem my coupon and the people were really understanding. They sent my car thru the wash first then we hashed out the issues AFTER my car was already washed. The inside of my car was a nightmare. Did I mention that I have two kids and two high energy dogs? We're talking mud and cheerios and dog hair and all sorts of scary crumbs. They usually charge an extra $8 for an excessively dirty car but I realized I took my wallet out of my bag the other day to put in my raincoat and I forgot to bring it with me that morning! The manager Robbie was very cool about it and I left thinking "Man, now THAT was excellent customer service!" I felt like such a jerk for not having money for a tip because I didn't have my wallet. But I vow to go back tomorrow with some cash. I was so impressed with the cleaning and the personable customer service! Will definitely be back! read more

I don't know how all of these people are raving about customer service and their shiny cars. The thing I don't like is they tried to upsell me at least 3 times after I said no. I think they thought I was some pushover little girl becase Im petite with an innocent face (ignore the profile pic) but one guy twice tried to get me to pay $4 more to wash the under carriage and then whispered to the next guy who then tried to get me to do the same thing. And I kept saying no and I said my car isn't that dirty. Because it wasn't. So after I pay and put my windows up I heard them talking about me saying "Oh yeah I tried but she said her car isn't that dirty". Not a big deal I know they are trying to make money but but his tone was kinda snarky like I am somehow obligated to wash my undercarriage if you harrass me enough times. And don't talk about me behind my back. They were obviously trying to get me to spend more money and I really don't like that. MEN: no means NO! It's like a guy who keeps asking you for your number even though you say no because you know he's a clown and he prob won't even call you anyways. No I typically don't lay under my car and admire how clean the undercarriage is so let it stay dirty, thanks. So onto the actual review. I got the basic carwash for $11. They handwashed my car with lots of soap before going through the tunnel, which was great. But the tunnel had NO soap at all. The flat blue cloths are there just to slap some sense into your car and that it. But the guys did a decent job handwashing so whatever. So then they vaccumed, but they charged $9. That's way too much for a basic vacuum. I would have spent the $1 at the self-vac if I wasn't so pregnant and could bend over. Im fairly happy with the work but honestly don't come here if your car is excessively dirty or if you prefer honest service. I think the whole job was worth $10, $13.50 max. To be fair the vac guys worked really hard and did a great job. I'll go back if Im desperate or if I feel like dealing with them not taking no for answer but I'd rather go to Riverside where they just do what you ask for and do a good job at it. read more

We took both of our cars on Sunday and today. The staff were friendly when we paid for our wash ($13). I watched them carefully prep the car going over the wheels (often neglected area), windows, and dirty spots (bird droppings). When our cars were done, I was very happy with how clean our cars look. I went to try this car wash since they offered 20c discount on gas with car wash. I recently moved from Ohio to Frederick area and was looking for a decent car wash on a budget. I chose the cheapest express wash for $11 at the pump and pulled up to the wash. The guy at the bay advised an upgrade to $15 wash and apparently was not happy when I declined. He then proceeded to scrub my car with the brush hastily for 15 seconds, loudly banging on the doors so that I was worried he might dent them. Also, the guy on the other side of the car did not close my side mirror and it was almost ripped away inside the automatic wash. The wash itself came out just OK - apparently, the owners are stingy on soap in the auto wash (why the manual scrubbing before then?). In sum, may be you get a good wash when you pay 40 bucks for a wash, but for $11 you get close to nothing. But then I have better ways to spend $40... read more
