The public notice stated the law office of Farhang & Medcoff was "accessible" which I assumed meant handicap accessible. When the participants for the public meeting arrived we were asked to sign in but there were no chairs in the room other than the huge black leather chairs for the Board of Directors and their attorney, Meredith Marder. Their attorney, Meredith Marder, announced at the beginning of the meeting, although there were only five of us standing there, that although it may seem rude, we couldn't have chairs because they needed the room for all of the participants. The meeting had begun and there were no more people coming in (the lack of chairs was clearly an intentional gesture.) Neither the attorney, nor the board of directors, after noticing there were only five of us standing , offered to get us a seat. I was the youngest participant and am close to 60 years old. I am used to standing on my feet for hours at a time, but there were 4 other people with a few being quite elderly. Finally after about 15 minutes into the meeting, one of the five attending the public meeting asked if we could please have chairs as some of us were elderly. If you have to attend a meeting at this "handicap accessible" lawyers office, please be prepared to bring your own chair because that is the only way you're going to get a seat!

Mr Zack sounded professional and qualified to do this very simple probate case, boy did I misread that. Please keep in mind that this is a very simple and uncontested probate case with very minimal assets and only 2 siblings (which were in complete agreement). Well 2 years later the probate is almost complete. This has been the worst experience I've ever experienced with what should be a "professional" business. The level of incompetence that this attorney and his staff has demonstrated over the past 2 years is mind boggling. When I originally spoke to Mr Zack he said that an uncontested probate can be easily handled in 6 months with more difficult cases taking 1-2 years. Fast forward 2+ years and my very simple case is almost complete only after my wife and I had to, on multiple occasions, call to forcefully inquire. If you are considering hiring Mr Zack or his associates I would strong urge you to reconsider and retain someone else who is actually qualified. I gave 1 star only because there isn't a negative star option.
