I was in the ER last night…read morewith really bad jaw pain, and after a couple of wrong referrals and no's I was pointed in this direction. I called and explained my situation and instead of "no we don't take your insurance" it was "you're in pain, let me talk to Dr. Smith to see if he can maybe recommend some help". 5 minutes later I get a phone call, "can you make it here soon?". I was greeted by kind and friendly faces. Dr. Smith knew very well there was a chance my current insurance was a no go but his biggest concern was for my pain. I was in right away and he came and saw me quickly. He listened very intently and with more empathy than the ER doc. He was very gentle when he examined my jaw and was very careful not to cause me unnecessary pain. He fitted me with something to help, gave me advice on some home remedies, and told me if it didn't work he wanted to hear about it. He took the time to find the source of the pain and get to know the story before he rushed into treatment. His assistant would keep me company and when she had to step out other assistants would pop in and make sure I was doing ok. Nobody cared about payment or insurance, just my pain. So much kindness!! This place is amazing!! If I ever do get the right insurance this place would forever have my business and it will forever have my recommendation. Thank you guys! You were so caring and helpful!! I underwent a surgical extraction and bone replacement graft. From the moment I walked in the door, I received pleasant, professional customer service. Even before showing up for my appointment, I experienced excellent planning from the staff with excellent communication by both e-mail and telephone. I was mildly anxious when I arrived, as I am a rather difficult IV start. Everyone who provided my care was kind and compassionate, alleviating my nervousness. The procedure was done flawlessly in no time! The post-operative instructions provided at my discharge are the best I have ever received. Their insurance coordinator did an excellent job of reaching out to my Dental Insurance and getting me pre-approved, with an accurate amount for my co-pay. I highly recommend Dr. Wallis and his team for your oral surgery needs. Today, my first post-op day I am feeling great with minimal swelling and pain. Those post-op instructions provide a map to your recovery....be sure to follow them!
