The owner Joy originally sent her son to measure/give a written estimate and we shortly after arranged to drop off a deposit and have items ordered. Late evening the day before our scheduled drop off, we were called stating that they were increasing the price as the son had provided a bad quote. After arriving to the store and questioning this we were also told while they were happy to take the deposit that they were no longer sure they could do the job and would have to send a more senior person back to evaluate. When they came back, almost a week later, the actual installer had to remeasure, as the owner's son had measured improperly as well, but said the job was of course doable. At that time the team seemed apologetic for the inconvenience and told us that if we trusted them they would make it right. As such, we decided as we had already invested the time to give the deposit and we were told they would be ready 4 weeks later for install. 2 weeks after, my wife called for an update and we were informed the shades shipped and due in the next day or two, but that since it was their busy season would not be able to schedule install until several weeks later (~5 week since ordering). 1 week prior to install we get a message saying they have to push back the date of install because the blinds weren't actually in/never even shipped. When talking to her son, he blamed a long term employee that "doesn't know how to use the computer" and when talking to Joy the owner, she states the person who originally told us everything was in while admittedly incompetent had worked their forever and allows it cause she is a loyal person. She then verbally berated me over the phone for making them upset! Do yourself a favor and go to a real store. These folks lie, continually change their story and misled us, particularly after taking our money. This experience has been nothing but a headache and a waste of our time.

I cannot say enough about how impressed by and pleased with Joy I am. Prior to meeting her, I met with several other companies, including the big box stores. From the minute I met Joy, I knew that I would be purchasing from her. She is one of those kind and pleasant people that exudes trustworthiness and competence. She was easy to communicate with, patient, and knowledgeable. She came to my house twice, to review selections, and spent way more time than she needed to, to make me feel comfortable with my purchase. Lately, I've noticed that customer service has gone down in quality, in many arenas. My experience with this company was refreshing and a reminder of what service used to me, and what exceptional service should be. I strongly recommend Joy and her team.

We told her we were really on a budget because we had just bought our first home, showed her the 5 windows that needed some treatment. She didn't ask us what our budget was, which samples would fit such a budget, instead we went through the whole rigmarole of measuring and remeasuring, taking notes in pencil. We guessed which treatments were cheapest said we wanted those. Then, at the end, after like an hour she shows us a calculator with a cost of thousands of dollars. We almost fell over. It was enormously embarrassing for everyone. She offered a discount of a few hundred but it still was very high. We went to another blind place in Huntington, ordered the same styles and fabrics ourselves, had it installed for a third of the cost.

We really believed we would have an excellent experience and the best customer service since we were paying top prices for customized doors. After we paid $25,000, we call with some problems with the two French doors. The screens on both doors did not work properly, the weather stripping ribbed off and one of the handles on the doors was stripped. Right after installation we recognize the poor customer service. We called, we emailed, we basically pleaded for them to help us with our concerns, however, the typical response from Salon was "let me look into it and call you back". And then he never would called back. Two years of poor customer service, it has been frustrating.

At that point, he said he would be right back. Then I received a text from him where he informed me that he wasn't interested in the job. Then called my wife a bitch. Texts included with this post. If this is the kind of person who this company is going to send to your house, they don't deserve your business. I contacted Dave via text on December 4th, 2024, for a defective blind. I sent him a photo, and he agreed to replace it no problem. At which point, he never mentioned any service fee for the new blind. After not hearing from Dave for over 2 months, I contacted him on February 28th, 2025. I received no response. Finally, on March 27th, he finally replied to my text. He admitted that he forgot to order the replacement blind. Today, he texted me that the blind is in and he can come to install it tomorrow. He further tells me that there is a $75 service fee. When I questioned why he didn't tell me that upfront, he became irate and told me, "People do not work for free," and to lose his number. I have no issue paying a service fee. The problem is his complete lack of respect for a customer's time and his failure to disclose the fee initially. Dave's lack of respect speaks volumes about how much he values his customers.
