My family has been on-and-off members of this branch since 2020, so we are very familiar with the environment and the standards this location is capable of maintaining. Unfortunately, our recent experiences have not reflected those standards. The woman who previously worked at the front desk was truly a gem of a human being. She was warm, welcoming, and made you genuinely want to stand there and chat. She set the tone for the entire facility in such a positive way. In contrast, Nancy has been dismissive, unapproachable, and openly irritated by basic questions. In a customer service role -- especially at the front desk where first impressions matter most -- professionalism, patience, and friendliness are essential skills. That has not been our experience. Afterward, I noticed other reviews mentioning similar concerns about her behavior, which suggests this may not be an isolated incident. When multiple members share the same feedback, it's something management should take seriously. The YMCA is meant to be a community-centered organization, and members deserve to feel welcomed and respected the moment they walk in. At the very least, additional customer service training seems necessary to ensure the front desk reflects the positive, community-driven atmosphere the YMCA promotes.

I've been coming there with Gymnastics and Sports for the past 12 years she is wonderful to all the kids as well as the adults so I'm not quite sure what this gentleman is talking about. Next let me just say there's between 50 and 60 parking spots on their premises. Yes there is 2 handicap spots in the back that walks right into a building. Again what this gentleman is talking about I have no clue. Next he claims that nobody crosses their hearts for the Pledge of Allegiance. We don't do the Pledge of Allegiance we do the national anthem not the pledge and is not necessary to cross their hearts for the anthem. Now he claims the equipment is old that's shocking to hear some one say this because all the equipment in the gym is quite new and up to date. The facility with has ample seating in the gym as it's set up for the meet . also a very large lobby that you can stay outside and sit. Currently he's 2 and a half so he's in the two year old program. I was nervous when we first registered him because he wasn't separated from anyone besides his family care-givers and I was nervous about how he was going to handle school. At first he was nervous but now that he realizes he'll be picked up he seems to be okay about going. The staff I have dealt with when I drop him off seem to be very nice. Miss Lisa seems to be an awesome teacher. I am nervous because our son has been pushing some of the kids in the class and even though this is normal toddler behavior we are trying to nip it in the but and discourage it. I'm just scared he might get kicked out of the school for it if it's ongoing but we'll see what happens. In short I'm impressed with this school so far, I hope my two year old does not get kicked out so that he may continue his pre-school years at Miss Midgie's.

There was very little structure or planning throughout the day, which created a chaotic environment for the children. Rather than focusing on improving the classroom environment, staff suggested that my child might have a diagnosis, even though they are not qualified to make medical or developmental assessments. I found this inappropriate and concerning. If staff have developmental concerns, they should communicate specific observations respectfully and encourage parents to speak with their child's pediatrician--not suggest diagnoses. I expected a supportive, well-organized, and professional environment, but that was not my experience.
