The staff had set up my son's soon with a fun construction theme including table clothes, plates, napkins, signs on the wall and had juice and water ready to go. They checked in throughout, reminded us about pizza and cake at the right time and didn't rush anyone. Last year my son had his birthday at Tumble Jungle in Norwalk and it felt more rushed and like they wanted us out on the minute but Playhouse Fairfield gave us a great experience. If you're looking for an easy time for your kids, someone to truly pull it all together for you I'd definitely recommend them in the future!

My two-year-old son and I have visited this location dozens of times over the past year without a single issue. On this visit, we also happened to be the only Black family present. What happened afterward was shocking, unprofessional, and felt unmistakably discriminatory. Later that day, I received a call from someone identifying herself as the owner/manager. She claimed that it had been "reported" that my recently turned two-year-old son had: * "Shaken" a one-year-old girl * Then supposedly been "violent" toward multiple children * And later--somehow--"choked" the same child These accusations all came in a single phone call and kept changing as she spoke. Not one version was consistent with the last, and none of them matched anything that occurred during our visit. When I calmly asked her to check security footage, she said she would but immediately followed it with, "The video may not have caught anything," despite openly admitting she hadn't reviewed it. To this day, I have received zero follow-up or confirmation that any video was checked at all. I later spoke with the front-desk employee who was there during our visit. He confirmed that: * No parent voiced any complaint about my son * He personally witnessed nothing concerning * The owner/manager was not even present at the time This brings up extremely concerning questions: * How did the owner know to single out my child when no complaint was made? * Why was I immediately presumed guilty with no evidence? * Why did the supposed reporting parents never speak to me directly, which is standard in children's play spaces? * Why did the claims escalate from shaking, to multiple children, to choking--a sequence that simply does not align with a newly two-year-old's behavior or my son's history? My son has never harmed another child, and our long history at this business reflects that.

Today I had my son's first birthday party at this soft play. I was really looking forward to it because of the fantastic reviews I read. When we showed up, the singular employee present told us that the photographer we opted for as an add on had called out sick and wouldn't be there. I mentioned that the owner didn't let me know about this- she said she was told to let me know when I got there. I had absolutely no time to make plans for an alternative to capturing photos and had to rely on guests and the single employee running the party. The tables and high chair all needed to be wiped down, and half of the decorations I dropped off ahead of time were not up. I'll say that's probably due to there not being adequate staffing. My issue here is with how the owner is running this business. If I had employees call out sick last minute I certainly wouldn't leave one employee (with 2 days experience by the by) floundering, trying to manage a party of 30 adults and 10 kids by themselves. I also certainly wouldn't leave it to that employee to break bad news to a customer. So unprofessional. I also feel that the food was not charged accurately- the catering menu for Gino's shows the price of a full tray of caesar salad for $60 + $27 x 3 for 3 additional pizzas ($81) + 3 foot italian hero at $17/foot ($51) = $192 + $17.04 tax + $10 tip (I saw this handed to the delivery driver) = $219.04. The line item for the food on the invoice was $277. $57 extra for what? Due to there only being one employee we ended up needing an additional half hour of party time to have birthday cake, which was provided free of charge and I do appreciate that. The kids had a nice time and the catering food was good. But overall, I paid a premium expecting to have to do no work and felt my mother and I did about half the work anyway.

With it getting a bit cooler we decided to give it a shot instead of them running around the water slide in her backyard. I was apprehensive being that school is still not in session, but it wasn't chaotic at all. It's 20 dollars for the day. You can leave and come back, as long as you grab a wristband for your kid before leaving. Gripping socks are a must, and I get why. Everything was super clean, and I just felt so comfortable letting Bubs go from section to section. Being on top of the bowling alley, this give kids and family extra time together (or separate if the kids go play by themselves while the parents bowl, which seems to be the case here). There are a great deal of inflatable bounce houses and one giant obstacle course, a ropes tower with a slide, rock wall, some arcade games, and a few birthday party rooms. For two kids to play for 1 1/2 hours was $24 total. Seemed like a pretty good deal considering there's no other place quite like this and it keeps the kids active and happy. It is dingy and there are quite a few broken arcade games that they just decide that they're never going to fix (I've been here a few times). You pay 25-50 cents per game or a dollar to play air hockey, basketball, or a motorcycle game. There are no tickets so you're really only playing to have fun, not win prizes. There is a coin machine (it's slow) to give you quarters for the games. During my most recent visit, the basketball machine broke on us so that was interesting. Other than the rinky dink "arcade" (which is kind of just scattered around the bounce houses), this is a fun place with plenty of room for the kids to run around.

I'm assuming this setup is just for parties and not for open play/classes. The two hosts for the party who I'm assuming we're the owners were very friendly and approachable. The kids and adults both had pizza and the drink options were apple juice and sodas. I know there was a bathroom in the back which I did not utilize. At the end of the party, there was a little play dough type St. Patrick's theme goody bag (which my toddler loved) and water bottle given out. All of the kids at the party looked like they had a great time. Mine was very upset when the party was over and time to go home. Overall, as someone who attended a birthday party here, I would definitely recommend it for a younger child's birthday party!

I've been bringing my daughter to Empire Adventure Park for about TWO YEARS. I have NEVER seen this place run the way it was on Saturday, August 22. We arrived around 7:45 PM and paid FULL PRICE, yet multiple attractions were already closed or had nobody working them. The bumper cars were closed, another attraction my daughter wanted to use had no employee operating it, and the attraction with the hanging seats was basically shut down. Parents were pushing their own children until an employee came over and told them it was closed for the night. There was also nobody properly directing the dodgeball area. Laser tag was closed as well, although I'm not sure if that was due to renovations. Then around 8-something I tried to get my daughter a slushy and was told that was closed too. The MAIN bathroom was closed, so everyone was being directed to the family bathroom, which was absolutely disgusting. What I don't understand is how you can advertise that you're open until 10 PM on a Saturday, charge families full admission, and then have multiple attractions and services unavailable more than TWO HOURS before closing. Their own website currently advertises Saturday hours until 10 PM and lists several of these attractions as part of admission. (Empire Adventure Park) I spoke to the manager on duty because there appeared to be plenty of employees around, yet so many areas either had no one working them or were already closed. I'm not a first-time customer who doesn't know how this place normally operates. I've been coming here for two years, which is exactly why this visit stood out so much. If customers are paying full price, the attractions included with that admission should be available during operating hours, or customers should be informed BEFORE paying that they will have limited access. I have already contacted upper management and requested an explanation and appropriate compensation. This was extremely disappointing, especially coming from a place we have enjoyed and supported for years.
