I tried to work for them. I needed to have a clean driving record. They found a ticket that was from 3 years ago.. that I got at a Texas speed trap. One-horse town. Went from the highway (70mph).. to the next block (35mph). I, of course, slowed WAY down.. seeing that I was about to enter a small town.. but as I said, the transition was impossible. As for the cop.. the tax payers pay him to sit on his fat ass.. and write tickets. Other than that.. SPOTLESS RECORD. They never asked me about the circumstances, surrounding the ticket. Yeah.. Our driver go to our hotel in 15 min. Freebee can take you around locally. There are different areas that they service. The whole experience was great. Our driver, Chris was fun and friendly! I loved it! We rode with Frenchie who is a Miami local for 21years recently living in Wynwood. He took us on a tour of the art district on the east and west side of main street (nw 2nd ave). He was very insightful on the art and shared with us the history behind Wynwood and many of the murals we saw. To make everything better, he had a playlist that changed songs according to what we were looking at and doing. I've been to Wynwood several times and have even worked there in the past but Frenchie took us to areas and artwork I've never seen before. I really loved the experience and look forward to introducing it to friends who haven't heard of it yet! The rides are for free and they work off of tips. Ever since I've known about Freebee I try to use it every time I'm in the area it provides its services for (Brickell, South beach, Wynwood, Downtown). Freebee is so simple to use. All you have to do is download the app and once in the designated areas you can tap to get picked up and be dropped off in the desired location for free. The drivers are always so friendly and upbeat too. My friends and I love to use Freebee especially when we are trying to get around places without walking so much. My group and myself personally felt scorned from multiple cabbies trying to pull one over on us as they attempt to do daily. I am 67 yrs old and was riding my bicycle Sunday 3/29/20, in Delray Beach when I got a flat tire on Ocean Blvd & George Bush Blvd. I chained my bike to a sign post and started the 5.4 mile walk in 84 degree heat to back my home in the Highpoint community. After about 30 mins walking I saw a Freebee extended golf-cart vehicle at NW 2nd St & Swinton. The driver, Chris Kirkland saw me and asked if I was okay and did I need Ride? Since the vehicle had no other passengers and was open air, the COVID-19 risk was minimal, I hopped in the back. When I told the driver my situation, he explained that He wasn't supposed go any further west than I-95, but since I was obviously getting tired he drove me to the entrance of Highpoint on Atlantic Ave, where I only had about a mile more to get to my house. I'm giving 3 stars only because the name is misleading. This is not a free ride. The drivers only get paid from tips and our driver made sure we knew how it worked so we felt obligated to tip. We were going from Brickell to downtown and planned to take metromover, but the freebee driver pulled over and asked if we wanted a ride. Since it was convenient we decided to give it a try. Now that I know it's not a free ride I'd still be open to using it, but I'm curious how fast they are to pick you up when you call. I'll have to try it and update my review. read more
