Once we finally got someone to answer the phone, they said it would be another 20-30 minutes before the driver would arrive. The whole point of a car service is so you don't need to wait. What a joke!

The vehicles were all late model, in near new condition, clean, and exactly as described. The drivers were all on time (or early) and extremely friendly. After 40 minutes I called to see if they were still coming and was told yes about 10-15 more minutes - 20 minutes later the driver showed up so total wait time was 1 hour NOT 30 minutes. The driver made passes over a double yellow line which did not make me feel very safe and then when we did arrive the bill was $110. I told him i felt that was too high so he called his boss who offered me a discount to pay $100 (which to me is still outrageous but apparently we had to pay the meter for his 1 hr drive to pick us up with out being told that ahead of time?) the person on the phone argued with me about the timing and said we only waited 40 minutes which is not true.. I called at 12:38, 1:08 and was picked up ay 1:40, arrived at 2:01 and was billed an outrageous amount. Being out of state, here for a funeral we have a lot going on and too many emotions to argue further. The driver and I also did not speak the same language so I didn't want to take it out on him so I paid and moved on. I hope other people see this and decide to book a different way as this does not seem ethical to me. Actually, I think I will continue to post until the company decides to make it right. Looking back at our emails, I missed where the pickup was pointed out in the email, it's my fault that I didn't understand we would not be met in the baggage claim area, so that's on me. But I should have addressed it before our trip. I spoke with the driver, who had a very heavy accent and I had a lot of difficulty understanding him, which he sounded very annoyed about. He told us he could not pick us up in front of the arrival area and we had to go to the right at the end of the terminal. All we saw at the end of the terminal was an unlit area. This is exactly what I wanted to avoid. The pickup area had very little light. But we proceeded forward, picked a spot and I called the driver again. When he showed up and saw my mobility scooter, it seemed to make him very mad. I had specifically requested a van, just to accommodate our luggage and my scooter, and I had communicated to Jiffy Jeff I had a scooter. He was very rude and irritated and kept saying it was not going to fit (keep in mind, it was a VAN). It took me several minutes to explain that we could take the scooter apart to get it in the van. Finally, after I started disassembling my scooter, and he begrudgingly help load the parts in the van. As two women, I did not like getting into a van with a man who was visibly angry, but we did. My sister and I were very uncomfortable. On the drive, I tried asking him questions about the area, for example, "is that downtown Fort Lauderdale?" And he said "That's not where we're going." I said, "I understand, but I just want to know if that is downtown." Again he snapped at me saying "that's not where we're going." We spent $160 (including the $30 tip we we begrudgingly gave him) to go from Fort Lauderdale Airport to the Hilton by the cruise port, which is 4 miles and about a 15 minute drive.
