However, the nightmare began while trying to locate an installer. At least five people/calls later I found Floor Coverings International (FCI) here on Yelp and--in despair--contacted them. Several days later, Rob LaCross actually kept our appointment and brought his samples to our house. And KEPT IN CONTACT with me, knowing I was suspicious and traumatized by previous carpet fellas disappearing into the night after promising the moon. (So to say.) Rob and his staff are friendly, outgoing, straightforward, trustworthy. Our flooring is perfect and the carpeting is lovely. We had a few installation time glitches (holidays, Covid) but Rob kept me relatively calm and informed. I RECOMMEND THIS COMPANY and THESE PEOPLE without reservation. Call them! You can't go wrong. Only our parlor rug required cleaning - our elderly dog was sick it on many times. We were encouraged to take rugs home to see them in our home every time. Our children were small when we made our first purchases and Mr. Mir allowed them to climb all over the rugs in the store. We admonished the children and Mr. Mir said they could do nothing to the rugs to harm them. "You're putting them on your floors, aren't you?" These rugs will be the most cherished heirlooms in our house for our children. We've not only purchased more rugs, but Mir's did stellar cleaning and repair on my best friend's Turkish family rugs last year. We feel the quality of the rugs and the outstanding service from Mir's sets the gold standard.

We built a new house and per the builder had to use Williams Carpet. It was a bad experience right…read morefrom the start. The employee that helped us pick out flooring was very rude and almost acted like we were a bother. We bought dark wood flooring for the main level and it was expensive. 6 months after we were in the house the flooring started chipping and continued to get worse. It also has a haze that will not go away. I am a very clean OCD person and followed all the instructions for cleaning. We have never worn shoes in the house. It took multiple calls and close to 3 months to get in contact with someone at Williams. They sent a person out and their suggestion was to use an oil marker to fill in the areas. This was not satisfactory to us so we finally were able to get in contact with the owner. He replaced some of the boards but that was it. We now have $10,000 floor that looks terrible and we can't even get a return call. Also, the carpet is very cheaply made. We have Home Depot carpet also, it was 1/2 the price and double the quality. If you need flooring I HIGHLY suggest you go elsewhere.

We called and they sent the owner's son out who suggested that it was an optical illusion and implied we were being nit picky. However he said that if we noted exactly what stairs needed to be adjusted and by how much he would fix it. They sent the same installer back out and he made it worse despite specific instructions! (See pics) We had other carpet stores come out and look and they were amazed at the horrible workmanship and couldn't believe it was left this way. We called them back out again and finally the owners son fixed it correctly (after explicit instructions from us). They offered no discount for our time or hassle. My husband had to take a whole day off of work to deal with their ineptitude. I would never go here again after this experience.

I was referred to them by a friend who is also in the industry, and he said they were much better than any big box store. Scott took time to understand that this job was for my cousin who has some challenges and kept working with him to make him part of the project. He denied that I even talked to him. So my husband and I talked with another salesman and he was very nice. We took another sample home. I called a few days later and told him we were interested and what kind of price they could offer us. He said he'd call back--never did. A few days later, we went back to the store to return sample and to talk with someone. No one came out of the other room to help us. We just left the sample back where it belonged and left. Needless to say, we're never going back.
