However, the nightmare began while trying to locate an installer. At least five people/calls later I found Floor Coverings International (FCI) here on Yelp and--in despair--contacted them. Several days later, Rob LaCross actually kept our appointment and brought his samples to our house. And KEPT IN CONTACT with me, knowing I was suspicious and traumatized by previous carpet fellas disappearing into the night after promising the moon. (So to say.) Rob and his staff are friendly, outgoing, straightforward, trustworthy. Our flooring is perfect and the carpeting is lovely. Our children were small when we made our first purchases and Mr. Mir allowed them to climb all over the rugs in the store. He denied that I even talked to him. So my husband and I talked with another salesman and he was very nice. We took another sample home. I called a few days later and told him we were interested and what kind of price they could offer us. He said he'd call back--never did. A few days later, we went back to the store to return sample and to talk with someone. No one came out of the other room to help us. We just left the sample back where it belonged and left. Needless to say, we're never going back.
