I hired this company to replace my carpet in my bedrooms and vinyl floors in my living area. Right…read moreat a year or maybe a little past I had an issue with the carpet in my son's room. Also the transition strip was loose ( they installed the transition strip with liquid nails). I called for help with these problems and after about a month I was told the carpet manufacturer would cover the carpet but not the labor. Furthermore I was told that this is a small company and they "cannot afford to give away the house". They gave me the number to Falcon flooring to inquire about the labor. After speaking with Falcon, I found out that the labor was $144.00 and that Your life design was not interested in paying nor did they even ask for the price! Also, the carpet installers here at Your life design were not certified to install the carpet by the manufacturer!! Fortunately, Falcon is stepping up to pay for the labor for the carpet replacement and even offered to help me with the transition strips. As for your life design, I was told that they were going to look into the transition strip, but I have little confidence that anything will be done. So after all the preaching of quality and customer satisfaction, if there is a warranty issue be sure to read this contract cause they will not go beyond the contract to help and will have no problem with sending you a pic of the contract to illustrate this point cause apparently $144.00 will break the bank to help out a customer. Note that though you pay them, they are quick to say it's someone else's problem and stat that they made no money on my project. I will say that they are all very polite but have a long way to go when it comes to taking care of their customers if a problem arises later on. One last thing, after all this, they then asked about my next project! I'm sorry but I cannot do business with a company that is not willing to assist with the job once a problem occurs in such a short timeframe after install. Had I not had this problem that gave me this insight to this particular type of situation, I more likely would have rated them much higher out of ignorance. Please beware and I hope this helps someone else to avoid this issue or that it will open up this company's perspective to consider that sometimes you should assist customers outside of your contract cause it's the right thing to do...

They came back on Monday with the materials, went up and down the roof using a ladder-- fast and easy-- did everything in about half a day! I am so happy with these guys -- very pleasant to talk to, very hard working, their work is outstanding, and their charges are reasonable as it includes hauling off the debris, the labor and the materials. Now looking at my whole neighborhood with all their roofs covered temporarily with tarps, I feel very lucky that mine is now ready for the coming rain! I was seeking an experienced electrician to help me make sense why my 3 smart switches that…read moresuddenly weren't working. PowerVision was the first to respond, and quickly at that. So, I scheduled an appointment. Very friendly demeanor, and courteous son I would come to find out. Yet he never offered to truly rectify points cited below: He shows up with his young teenager (who largely ran to turn off/on eletrical breaker. Son did manage rewiring combinations in attic). The father then spent five hours at house trying every possible wire combination in three-gang box - arcing my $60 smart switch two times within minutes, then another $60 smart switch minutes later. The blowout from one ark left a black spot stained on my wall by the gang box (They attempted to wipe stain, which didn't work. I admitted I had no paint for that color - I recently found a similar one). In their effort to make sense of the three switch wiring - trips to attic ensued, as previously mentioned. The collapsable ladder they used had a joint not lock into place, so when father initially climbed up, the top of his ladder leaning on wall shifted. This rubbed paint off my wall. I assumed this was an innocent accident but later I doubted my initial forgiving thought - for once that step locked, they had to remove their belt strapped, foot-long (Crocodile Dundee) knife to prod inside ladder to cause it to unlock, so ladder could collapse. In the end he couldn't figure it out. I offered placing dumb switches in place just to put an end to the endeavor. He tied the copper loops counter-clockwise to the screws on the switches. - $120 in lost value for two Lutron switches - Five hours for what should've been quick (charged for two hours). Didn't truly remedy cause for visit - Broken tool used - I had to repaint worked-on areas - Clearly not a real electrician Had I had more sense, I should have asked for his insurance paperwork and city license. The more time has past since service call, the more frustrated I get thinking about it.
