The physical therapists, Matt and Julie, are knowledgeable, ask plenty of questions, and answered all of mine. Something that stands out to me is how they recommend everyday objects (towel, grocery bags with cans of soup) to perform exercises. The facility is clean, beds are constantly sprayed down after usage, and the music is a nice distraction when doing my physical therapy. The only picture I've gotten so far is of my departing gifts from my discharge. But if I have to go back, I'll take more so everyone can see this great place!

I did not understand how these stretching and posture exercises could help reduce the pain. I was wrong. The therapist targeted my exercises and stretching to alleviate my specific pain issues. The staff was confident, friendly and extremely thorough. They asked the right questions, evaluated my images and concerns. I experienced a slight reduction of pain after my very first session. Today, after four weeks of sessions, I feel like a brand new woman. My pain has been significantly reduced and I feel great. She is a big believer that aches and pains in one area is connected to many other areas of the body that might also be off. I went in for a pain in my left shoulder and numbness in my left arm. She assessed the first visit and addressed my neck, shoulder, spine, wrists and feet even. She's very comprehensive and thorough. She takes the time to really work with you and pinpoint the problem and to fix it. She isn't afraid to get in deep and work down to the core of your issue of pain. I have been to see her a couple of times and I feel great after a visit with her. She got right down to the manual manipulation on the first visit and spent nearly an hour on me. The 3 I've seen so far all have Doctorates in PT, and one has gone on to get specialized training in massage and rolfing. They will spend the first visit assessing the problem area and then will work with you to come up with a program to improve the problem, address the pain and strengthen the area. They've moved to a new space which is quite nice. It's a large open space with all the needed equipment to work with you. Mario the owner has done a great job with making it look welcoming while also being functional. The front desk staff is efficient and will help you get scheduled, make sure your insurance is covering you and will send you your bills / receipts to your phone or email. All and all an efficient operation. I made the mistake of trying a different place recently and it did not go well - the scheduling, insurance approval, communication was all done poorly - so this is something not to be taken lightly!

I wish I could provide a good review and I know others won't put theirs on here and even considered…read morejust moving on, but I if I can help someone move past this office, saying what's so, will help them avoid wasting time or money on their journey to success. After hearing another story of someone paying $5k for neuropathy treatment that didn't work. Dr. Ciccala sold them on the treatment, saying they wouldn't need surgery and ended up out of the $5k PLUS having to get surgery. I showed up emotionally spent trying to fix a problem. He appeared to listen and care without any pressure, etc. When I decided to start with him, over time I realized I kept returning without progress, and he did the same thing to address results each session. I finally asked him to review and compare xrays from 1 year prior (approximately) from another NUCCA chiropractor. He kept saying "he hasn't gotten around to it". I finally said, I'm coming in ONLY for the comparison. He was explaining with hesitation to say it was WORSE. I had to say it for him and he agreed. It was my sign to leave then and there. At one point I recall him rolling his eyes when he said people doubt his plan is working. I said, "well, I'm not noticing progress" and to see where I can improve the process, I asked if he had a massage therapy recommendation. He snickered and said "not for you". Another time I asked for a person who could assess nutrition needs and referred me to someone who I wouldn't consider an expert at all. Another service I received there, gave me little to no feedback and when I mentioned that to him, he said "she gives me a lot of info". I would say, the worse your condition is, move on to find a pro. I was at my worst and when you find people to be condescending in that state, says more about their true character. I think he has a good vibe initially - handsome, listens (for opportunity to sell in my opinion) and is a well run, efficient office. BUT my situation was a challenge and although I wanted to trust him, I found he would not have my back, literally or figuratively. Perhaps NUCCA is good, but I doubt it impacts hip/pelvic area at all. Perhaps this doctor and his supporting staff are the best for some. I would say, buyer beware for those with specific needs who want feedback, info and progress. The chiropractic profession has earned a reputation and I've come across various reasons why. He was a bit zipped up so I trusted the process until I experienced his lack of resourcefulness, etc and realized, I committed to his program but he was not committed to my results. Again, he may be great for some, but I find Dr. Ciccala to lack resources unless it's self serving. More than likely I would not have put this review up if their office showed any concern. But after quite a while, I thought I should because others might save their money and time and I don't want to think about them or hold onto this experience. I'm now able to let it go. More than likely, he will roll his eyes like he does about others who aren't experiencing progress.
