Very clean, reasonably priced, great working machines- they even have hot can cold water in a sick where you can wash your hands or rinse a bottle out if you need to. They have an ATM machine- $3.00 to use, but it's there. The change machine even changes $20 bills! Plenty of seating, even one booth to sit and eat or do paper work- a big plus! While I was waiting, went to the sandwich shop on the other side of the pot store, where they have the best burgers and real ice cream shakes! Laundromat is an old building, but most places are. It was prefect except for having a bathroom for the public- so make sure you go before arriving. Very happy experience! The only other option for Coos Bay Laundromat has a horrible review, so I drove across town for this one as we were staying at the RV park with broken down machines! read more

The owner of this place has 3 big dogs that he allows to run free through the laundromat and around the property. They jump up on people and poop in the parking areas. Last month I arrived at the facility to do laundry and the dogs jumped up on me causing me to drop a part of my computer and break it. After telling the owner about this he said he will take care of the dogs. NOT TRUE. The next time I wet there the dogs pooped right beside put vehicle. Today the owner brought the dogs in the laundromat to run around and harass people. When I asked the owner to get the dogs away from me I was informed that dogs jump on people because that's what dogs do. They aren't hurting anything. Hu!? read more

This laundry mat still owes me 4.50 and the owner simon refused to reinburst my money, a friend made the mistake of going there and said there were bugs, in their cloths when they took them home. They also lost money in the broken dryer, and the owner simon, said they could not have a refund. These people called the owner and he would not listen to them and hung up on them.... Why don't the owners just sell to someone who will get the bugs out, and fix all of the broken down, machines, but they are foreigners, they don't care. read more

Used this place twice while in Coos Bay on business for a month. While it's your basic laundromat, the wash cycles are quick (25 min) and they are very effective. A double washer was $2.75. Dryer cycle is $1.50 for the first 30 min which was sufficient to completely dry a large load of clothes. The only thing I hope for out of a laundromat experience is clean clothes in a reasonable amount of time. Both of those were accomplished here. read more

Typical laundromat. Stopped in from a nearby campground to wash clothes. The place was clean. There was an ATM ($3 fee), change machine, machines selling soap, fabric softener, and laundry bags. This is not a dry cleaner as Yelp states. It is a wash and fold and you can as the owner about doing it for you. I have been using Freedom Laundromat in Coos Bay/Newmark Ave in Empire for years. Always clean and helpful. The owner has locked the restroom for customer use only due to many who don't respect what is there. I guess they got tired of having to check and clean every time the public used it. Because I have used this business for many years, the owner will even unlock it for me when I'm not doing my laundry there. I also love his very sweet dog. Maybe some don't and he has to leave her at home. Always friendly and very loving. She won't bite you, though she has thought a dryer ball or two that have fallen on the floor are toys I have brought for her. LOL. I appreciate that the new owner cares enough to keep the business clean. The only downside of this review is that I couldn't find the hours of operation anywhere. read more

I went in today to do my laundry, the facility was clean and the other people using the machines were nice enough. It's in a shady part of town so I was pleasantly surprised! The prices are decent too, $2.75 for a double load and $1.50 for 30 minutes in a huge dryer. Will be a regular customer! read more

No one is wearing masks! They charged me $62.25 (Can't do math) and offered to sew boxers without stating a price. I thought it was a curtesy after telling her to throw them away. We visit the Coos Bay area nearly every summer. It has been two or three years between visits to this laundromat & the quality of this business has diminished considerably: a good many (perhaps half) of the washing machines were out of order & four of five dryers weren't working. We used one washing machine that didn't spin well enough to get all the water out of the garments causing us to spend an additional $2.75 to rewash in another machine. The floor was dirty with an unknown substance and used dryer sheets which hadn't been picked up off the floor by the customers. Plus there were missed socks on the floor. That said, there were some new computer operated dryers available to use & they worked well. The day we were there I noticed a large sign saying new washers & dryers would be installed at some point in the future -- couldn't be soon enough. read more
