We were first-time home buyers, and as such, had questions to fully understand the (loads!) of paperwork and the process. Sure she is knowledgeable, but isn't interested in making the client feel comfortable throughout the process - she more so just wants to get the job done. Its a quick, easy buck for her. Her email etiquette isn't that great her - I found hr emails to be rude and you tell her impatient tone in answering our questions. AND, she is isn't interested in negotiating on the client's behalf to make sure they get the best possible deal; instead, she is more interested in how she is going to come off if she asks for something of the seller. None of what we were asking was crazy, but as buyers we wanted the best deal possible. I wouldn't use her again and wouldn't recommend her, unless you have a high tolerance for people being rude and condescending to you.

This was shocking to hear from a guardianship lawyer who should have compassion for disabled adults. He should not be working with this vulnerable population who face discrimination and stigma daily.

She even accused opposing counsel of not being able to talk to women properly, really? Nancy Baskin will come up with reasons to write useless letters and will charge over a $1,000 for them. To this day I cannot find one lawyer in Boston who respects her as a divorce attorney. She created controversy in order to extend the engagement and at a point wouldn't even return calls from her client urging her to keep the process moving. She even forced her client to withdraw money from a home equity loan to pay down her bill when both spouses needed to agree on that withdrawal in advance. i would steer clear of this office if you want to get your divorce done as two human beings and keep your fees to a reasonable amount.
