Even though I explained to them that my case is going to involve a mediated style settlement (because I had spoken with and knew my ex), they were convinced that it will get ugly, and asked for an upfront fee of $5 grand to handle my whole case. Of course, my case turned out straightforward, requiring maybe 3 hrs of work, and my ex's attorney drafted the main agreement. If I were to work with this law firm again, I wouldn't pay the upfront fee but instead ask to pay by time. Also, once they got their $$$, the service was terrible, as my attorney Adam was near impossible to get a hold of, and weeks or days would go by with no response to my emails. Avoid. read more

WORST LAWYER. Save yourself money and represent yourself. The lack of commitment and concern for your case is disgusting. All he cares about is his payment after that he won't respond. On the day of court, he sent a different lawyer without letting me know to represent him that not only does not work for his law firm according to his website AND just got out of school. Completely unprofessional. I understand the outcome doesn't affect their personal life but what he was paid for was to represent me because this was a case involving my son's safety and he did the complete opposite. The absolute worst law firm on the planet. Even 1 Star is too high. They charged me $3500 for them to be unprepared and unprofessional. They initially assigned Brian Freeman to my case and after I hadn't heard from him for two weeks. I was told that my case was being reassigned to Christian Campaniolo. Christian Campaniolo single handedly ruined my case. He was extremely unprepared and did not seem to review any of the information on my case. He was a complete joke and an embarrassment to the profession. I've never seen anyone more unprepared. He couldn't even remember my name in front of the judge. He did not bring forth any of the factual evidence that I provided him. And he absolutely got dismantled by the opposing counsel. His court performance was nothing short of abysmal. I hired him to represent me for a speeding ticket back in 2010. Paid ~$400 for his services, and I never met him until the court date. First of all, he showed up to court LATE!!! Typically lawyers are suppose to come early to prep the defendant on what to say, and they are 1st to speak w/ the judge. Once he finally came, he quickly made his 30 second statement to the judge, but the judge still directed me to pay the full fine. Brian then goes to asked the judge something about my personal record (don't remember what it was), and the judge looked at me with a grin and said "Isn't that what your paying the lawyer for". When I initially came to him, I just wanted my landlord to pay a portion of my PSEG bill because I was paying the heat/hot water for the illegal apartment below mine. After Mr Freeman spoke with me, he discovered several violations my landlord had committed. My case went from me wanting the landlord to split the PSEG bill to a case involving consumer fraud, a violation of landlord/tenant law regarding security deposits, and damages! I never felt like I didn't know what was happening. He represented me in landlord/tenant court and in my civil case against my landlord.
