The most amazing service with incredible food! On January 1, 2022 we did not have a reservation and were asked to come back at 7-730 as there should be table then. We walked to multiple other restaurants and the stars seemed to align and told us to go back to Free souls. So glad that happened. David is spectacular- he flawlessly runs the show at Freesouls. The attention to detail, the anticipation of the guests needs and the quality of food were all top notch. This service is better than most in the USA! Absolutely Ritz Carlton quality (I used to work at a RItz so I'm not joking). We ordered the Shrimp stack, the ceaser salad, a margarita pizza, the yellowfin tuna entrée and the best brownie ever made! Way to much food but we wanted to try everything! Worth every penny! We went in December 2018. This place was recommended by several people. The night we got there they had a lot of people off and a few people had just quit so they weren't really on their game but the food was good and the owner came out and talk to us and he was great. He was apologizing as they were in between staff and it was the holidays so some people were off or sick. I would definitely give it a try. You can't beat the setting and you can head there right after you go to Cerritos beach. read more

First time we visited this area few months ago all we heard about was FreeSouls. The pictures looked amazing but that was about it. There are so many places coming up in this area they will need to step up. Just because you have a lot of signs showing your location doesn't mean you are the best. After staying in a nearby vacation rental and cooking our own meals we (2 couples) splurged on dinner here our last night. Ambiance was exceptional - outdoor dining with patio heaters (it was late December) as well as a live guitarist made for a beautiful setting. Service started out prompt and efficient but declined somewhat through our dinner. Server was always pleasent but we were left to fill our own wine glasses on our 2nd bottle. Food was quite good - almost perfect. However, I found that the dishes had too much salt for my taste. So much so that I couldn't finish my entree. Dinner for 4 including 1 appetizer and 2 bottles of wine was $4000. Definately on the upper end of what we spend for a celebration dinner. But for a special occasion I feel the pricing was fine. A solid 4 stars - would be 5 for me if less salt was used. read more

This was my first visit to this part of Baja as I usually go to Cabo San Lucas. I really wasn't expecting anything spectacular because this surfer community is somewhat bohemian, however, the meal I had was top notch and compares to some of the finest restaurants I've eaten at stateside. My lightly blackened yellowfin tuna on a bed of couscous with organic veggies couldn't have been better balanced while relaxing on the upstairs patio in 68F late December nighttime temps. I didn't notice a single insect so maybe that's a summer issue or something they already dealt with. heat lamps helped keep the temps perfect and the owner was extremely polite, energetic, and passionate about his art. Prices for entrees range from $20 to $40 so they are not typical Mexico but the food quality, atmosphere, and service are worth the trip. read more

Like all outdoor places in the Pescadora Beach area, don't forget your bug spray. It's only been open about 6 months but the restaurant is beautiful with magnificent views of the beach and the Hacienda on the hill. It looks very chic inside with a dozen tables and a hip sofa relaxing area. There is a saltwater infinity pool in the back. Guests are encouraged to swim there. They have live music on Fridays so we will be back for that. The food is mostly Italian with plenty of seafood and steaks. They have a cool brick oven stove for the delicious pizza. The pizza is enough for two to three people and it isn't cheap so share it. The crust is thin but delicious and the toppings are fresh and healthy. The lamb pizza was remarkable as was the mushroom. This place will run you about $25/person at least! They have fans but it gets warm up there. Bring bug spray or the gnats will make you THEIR dinner. If you are staying in the Surfer's colony and don't want to make that long drive to Todos Santos, I highly recommend this place. read more

Freesouls was great! Dinner was delicious!! And there is a pool if you get too hot with a fabulous beach across the street. Sweet servers that took care of us in royal style! The service here is excellent. The food is all cooked in their wood fired oven so maybe stick to the pizzas. We got focaccia with pesto that was delicious. I didn't love the mushroom with Brie and asparagus. The ceviche tower was yummy. We ordered the whole fish and it was tender but a little weird to see fish eyes looking at past us longingly at the ocean. They brought me a brownie cake for my birthday so if you tell them it's your birthday, don't order dessert! read more

I love Freesouls!! Such a cozy and casual atmosphere. I love how the staff and Marc the owner are so welcoming. We enjoy the food and my son enjoys the pool. So nice to.be able to kick back and have a few cocktails while the kids swim. They have great pizza. I'm especially fond of the salad with quinoa cakes. Check it out. Absolutely incredible. What a talented chef and staff at this roof-top culinary gem. After 3 days in Cabo, eating mediocre food and wondering where in the world all these highly ranked restaurants must be, we left towards Cerritos and checked in to this quiet, quaint surfer colony. We literately stumbled upon FreeSouls. We are chefs from Los Angeles and had given up hope that we would find anything that would blow our minds. FreeSouls proved us wrong. Our server recommended fresh local fish that had just arrived a few minutes earlier and obviously we were on board. We also had the caprese salad with burrata cheese. The fish was the best thing we have eaten in years. Beautifully baked in the natural wood oven. It was moist, not over seasoned and melted in your mouth while accompanied with couscous and different baked vegetables. The salad was the best addition as an appetizer and we wanted much more. What blew us away is the talent, delicacy and respect the chef and his staff apply to the food and flavors. Now came the dessert which we didn't expect much from. . . WRONG! A puff pastry apple pie with vanilla ice cream that was to die for! It was soft, warm, balanced in flavor and a great paring to the fish to cleanse your palate. The good problem we have is that we have to go back tonight and try other things on the menu. Worth every penny!!! read more

I didn't have high blood pressure until after I visited this restaurant. I ordered the blackened tuna and must have accidentally been served a salt slab that had the shape, color, and texture of tuna. It may have paired really well with a pan of family sized brownies but did not do well on the bed of couscous and baby carrots it was served with. My friends initially thought I was a coward but they both tasted it and are now in the hospital on life support. My friend had the snapper and it was bland (wtf?). My husband had the lamb and loved it. Def go turf if you go here. Plan to pay a bunch of money for pretty bum food and you may wait a long time like we did. Make sure you take advantage of their saltwater pool, which does look amazing. Can't help but wonder if my leftover piece of tuna sources the entire pool ¯\_(ツ)_/¯ read more

I would give this place a 10/10 but I'd feel like I'm selling this place short. It's the most fantastic venue with a beautiful view of Cerritos beach. The food is moderately priced but worth what ever the cost because the food is AMAZING. The service is absolutely fantastic, very kind servers and cooks. You will not regret visiting this place.
