Cute spot for dates and weekend activity with friends, love that the staff were nice and helpful! Street parking was fairly easy.

Brought my friend in for her birthday and it was so fun! It's a bit intimidating at first but the staff was really helpful and it was a good mix between letting us figure it out on our own and helping us. It does take a long time because you do have to pay attention to the details but it was good. I recommend bringing food/drinks because there isn't anything in the area

This was such a cute space and a big group of us had a great time painting our ceramics. The staff was really helpful in figuring out colors and how they would look after getting glazed. It was also pretty reasonably priced and they have a huge selection of items to paint at all different price points. Would recommend for a date night or just hanging out with friends.

A fun experience for the whole family, especially ceramics. Older kids and adults will enjoy the tufting. The expert and helpful staff guide you through either activity. Even a beginner can create a masterpiece! A great way to spend a couple of hours, highly recommended!

If you're looking for a cute date night spot or a relaxing place to catch up with a friend, this place is perfect for both. They offer a variety of activities, including ceramic painting, rug tufting, and customizing phone cases. We chose ceramic painting, which starts with selecting your piece from a large wall of options. We picked two small plates, and the staff directed us to the paints and brushes before letting us dive into the creative process. The experience is pretty independent, with minimal staff interaction, which is great if you're in the zone. We spent about an hour and a half there, but the time could easily extend depending on what you're painting. After we were done, a staff member gathered our pieces, took our payment, and give us instructions on how and when to pick them up which was just by inputting our email and phone number. Overall, it was a cute and relaxing experience, and I'm definitely looking forward to coming back to try one of the other activities!

In town for vacation and we decided to do this as an activity! It was sooo fun! The workers were so helpful and knowledgeable! You def get an arm workout in holding that machine haha. We made the small rug I think 18x18. It def takes time to get use too but it was still so fun! They have painting there as well. I highly suggest stopping by this place! You will have a great time

This is a cute place for a date night with children or a partner, or a small birthday party. All the ceramics are available on the wall to the right, and are tagged with the price. Choose your ceramic and head to the pack to select your paints, brushes, and special features (stamps, stencils, etc). Music plays quietly in the background. The activity itself is relaxing and serene. Staff is there to assist, but yea a pretty independent time - perfect to connect with a friend. When you're done, pay at the desk and set your calendar to pick up in 2 weeks.

Such a fun little place! Who knew painting ceramics could be so fun & relaxing? Will be coming back.

I've been wanting to get into tufting so i went and had such a great time doing it and i definitely plan on going again to make more rugs! It was super simple and easy to do. Hopefully next time i go on a date here so i can have him pay for the big one lol

This place is SO cute and fun! The staff, especially Linda, are really kind and organized. They have tufting, charms, etc, but we opted to paint ceramics and were not disappointed with the experience. They had every color, brush, stamp, stencil, etc we could want. The ceramic options were great and reasonably priced, and we wound up staying for several extra pieces. Highly recommend this place!

Really fun experience! They let you stay however long you need, but it gets pretty busy so I would make a reservation ahead of time. We did the smallest size and it came out to be $76. They give you everything you need, such as a projector to trace the design out, and endless selection of yarn. They let me practice a lot and even have an option for shipping. You need to wait a few days after to come back and pick up the rug. It's really fun experience!

My daughter found this place while we were in Chicago on spring break. We reserved online easily. We took the orange line there. The walk was about 5 minutes from the Ashland stop. The place was very busy but we were helped right away. The staff helped us transfer our image to the canvas for the rug. Then thought us the gun technique. We picked colors and started our projects. It was hard at first , but in no time we had the hang of it. They checked on us throughout but not in a micromanaged sort of way. At the end of our 2 hours we had completed the rugs. They glued them and now we have such a cool treasure from our trip! I would absolutely recommend this shop!!!

The studio is a bit small but and enough space for you to roam about and do your thing. The first step was to handle the clay then they thought us how to handle the wheel and then we got to choose if we wanted a vase, a cup or a bowl. We were in a small group of 6 due to which the teachers could explain and help us well. We ended up upgrading our class to include paint as well as we got to know that without the paint we won't be able to use the things we made of it involves water. My friend made a cute cup and I made a not so cute vase. I would definitely say that but the end of the class, we were rushing a bit and would have appreciated some help and tips from the teachers but we didn't get any. We had to constantly ask about things and where the brushes were and where the paints were. Since it was our first ever class, we would have appreciated a bit more help from the teachers in managing our time and helpful tips on how to glaze correctly instead of having to ask everything ourselves when we are already rushing. Regardless, we had a lot of fun and can't wait to pick up our pieces soon!

Two hours was the perfect amount of time. The staff was super attentive, always checking in to see if we needed more paint or assistance. I highly recommend Color Me Mime for people of all ages - it's a fun way to get creative. I'm excited to see how our finished pieces turn out; I believe it takes a few days. The instructor we had was extremely rude. She had brownish reddish hair. This made the experience high-pressure and felt like we couldn't really ask questions because of her attitude & rushing us. Especially during the demo. Her service was not good making the ambiance hard to enjoy. Once we sat down to tuft our own rugs. The Tufting itself was tedious, but once you get into the flow state, it can be very therapeutic. I'd rate my hands on tufting experience a five out of five. The demo experience was a two out of five. As time went on other instructors came around to give us some tips and tricks they was helpful. You get three hour slots. I do feel like it should be at least 3 and a half hours because once you get the hang of tufting, the instructors will come around to let you know what you need to fix periodically. I would come back, but probably to their other location in Bridgeport. This location Uptown was decent. You do get your moneys worth out of this experience far is the end result.
